Chapter 10
Slowly, Ziva began to come to. She groaned as she shifted her position on the ground.
She opened her eyes carefully and starred up at the ceiling as the pain throughout her body caught up with her.
Finally, she turned and tried to push herself up.
She cried out in pain and slumped down back to the ground. Tears swelled her vision, but she blinked them away. Her right arm, she noticed, was swollen around her shoulder.
"Dammit! I think it's dislocated." She murmured grabbing her shoulder with her left arm and using her legs to push herself against the wall.
Grinding her teeth together as her middle bent, she slowly lifted her grey shirt. What once was clear with old scars, her stomach was no black and blue and sensitive to the slightest touch.
Dallas. The boy who brought her back to the room. The boy who promised to help her. The boy who she promised to help.
Ziva sat in the corner breathing ever so lightly, with every breath created unbearable pain throughout her torso.
"Why hello there, Darling." A voice spoke suddenly.
Zivas head turned and met eye to eye with Sam. She was too week to defend herself.
Dalles walked in the wide open door.
"Glad your awake!" Sam continued kneeling next to her. "You being knocked out was not part of the plan."
She glared at him with her death glare.
"Dalles!" He yelled.
"Yes, Boss?" He said walking up to him.
"Tie her to the chair." Sam ordered.
Dalles, acting tough, he picked her up and set her in the chair. "Im sorry." He mouthed while he was tieing her to the chair.
She nodded slightly, promising herself that she will help him out of this place.
"Thank you, Dalles. You may leave now." Sam said walking up and taking the seat in front of her. Dalles walked out of the room.
Ziva glared at him.
"Okay. I will ask you a question. You will answer it. If not, you will be punished, as usual, Darling," Sam said quietly as he stood up and walked behind her.
Suddenly he grabbed the hem of her grey shirt and tugged it up, reveling the bruises hidden beneath.
"Now," he growled leaning down to her ear. "This looks very sensitive." He wrapped his arm around the other side of Ziva and rubbed her stomach, making her grind her teeth.
Sam let go of her shirt and walked back around in front of her, reviving none other than her glare.
"Other than Anthony, What are the names of the agents on your team?" He asked politely, heading to a cardboard box on the table. He must have brought it in when she wasn't paying attention.
Ziva had an idea. She knew it wouldn't work but it would buy time. "Thom Gemcity and L.J. Tibbs."
"See? That wasn't that hard, darling." He smiled bringing the box with him as he walked back to his chair. "Tell me where all the safehouses are."
"I... I honestly do not know. I think there is one on 5th street but we have never really used them with me around." Ziva said slowly. There was no safe houses near 5th street.
"Tell me what you know about the current case you are working on." Sam ordered.
She really didnt know this one. "We just picked up a new body the day that I arrived here in this fantasy getaway." Ziva growled. "We had no tests in by the time we went home."
"So you are refusing information once again, darling?" Sam said leaning down and slowly opening it up.
"No, no!" She defended quickly. "I swear I have no idea."
"Then you will get the punishment." Sam smiled pulling up a hook-like-object from the box.
Standing up, he put the hook through in eye that was attached to the celling.
He laughed heading for the door. "I'll be back, darling." He walked out of the room but holding the door open. "Shes all yours you two."
Two men came in and shut the door. She recognized one of them from the 'cat and mouse' game that they played, the other one was the one who kidnapped her.
Both men walked behind her and out of her view. "Hello again," the one who kidnapped her said in a low growl nipping on her ear.
"This is going to be fun!" The other one laughed.
Both men worked together and untied her from the chair. Once she felt the ropes loosen, she grit her teeth and
shot up from the chair. She backed away from the men toward the table.
"Come back here, doll!" The kidnapper said lightly.
Ziva looked in the box as she passed it. A knife was at the bottom of it. She quickly lunged toward the box and grabbed it. Her Mossad instincts kicked in and any pain disappeared as her heart beat quickened.
She gripped the handle ready to attack.
"Call Sam," The kidnapper said.
"I think we can take her, Howie." The man who beat her said approaching Ziva slowly.
"We need to get Sam." Howie repeated to his buddy.
"Alright." The man said. He stopped approaching Ziva and headed for the door.
The one man opened the door and left.
Ziva had another bad idea. She dropped the knife and staggered back. Her breathing became ragged as she fell to the ground.
The kidnapper became unsteady and jogged to the door. Before he could reach it, it swing open reveling Sam.
"What the hell is going on?"
"There was a knife in the box and she grabbed it. Then when Daniel left to get you she staggered back and fell to the ground." Howie explained.
"We'll finish this when she wakes up." Sam mumbled cuffing Ziva's hands together behind her.
-.-.-
After Ziva was sure they were gone, she opened one eye slowly. When she saw no one was there, she stood up quickly, ignoring the grueling pain
"Lets get out of here." She whispered working her way out of the hand cuffs and walking over to the hook and eye.
She locked both ends of her cuffs around the eye on the celling next to the hook. She jumped down from the chair and picked up the knife that was left in the room.
Ziva walked to the door, and grabbed the handle. Taking a deep breath, she pressed down on the little lever with her thumb and pulled.
To her surprise, the door was open. "This is for you tony." She whispered before stepping out of the room and checking to see if the hallway was clear.
