I try to cover myself with my blanket. I cant sleep. I toss and turn, for some reason I feel cold earth. Why am I feeling earth? I think this is all dream but when I open my eyes to realise that it is reality! I am in a forest. Roots of trees everywhere. I hear the crackle. Now I have so many questions in my mind, Why am i here? How did I get here? Who lit the fire? Where am I? When did I get here? so many more questions. Finally I decide to go to the person who lit the fire and ask him my questions. Yes, I know that is a great risk but what else could I do? So I tried to get up but a sharp pain from my leg stops me. "Ouch." I look down at at my leg. It is bleeding and feels broken. Then I decide to yell for help, yes I know another risk, anyone could answer but I do it anyway. "Please help me. Where am I, Who are you..." Before I can say anymore a shadow of a man comes closer to me. Oh how I wish i didn't yell and how I want to be at the orphanage in my hard, warmish bed with all my friends! Then the shadow slowly disappears and I realise that there is a man in front of me. He has green eyes with a big greyish bushy beard and and curly greyish long hair. "So your awake," he says in a much nicer voice than I thought. Still I keep quiet "Lost your tongue huh? Don't worry I would be scared too but I'm not going to hurt you." That was a relief. Finally you manage to say "y..eaa..h." Then he says "C'mon to the camp I'll tell you the answers to your questions after but first you better check out where your going to be living for a few months." For some reason you feel a little safer but you keep thinking this is really strange. "Um... I think my leg is broken, I cant walk," I say in a shaky voice. The man turns around and looks at my leg "Here I'll help you," he puts my on his shoulders and says "lean on me," I decide to do what he says. Then he says " whats your name again?" "My name is Jet because of my jet black hair" I say. " Thats a great name for you," As he looks me up and down my tan skin, green eyes and jet black hair. "Were in luck, this one's going to be useful," he mumbles under his breath. "What did you say," I ask "Nothing" he mumbles. 'He seems a bit suspicious but still kinder than I thought' I think to myself. He takes me to the warm fire I realise I'm not alone their is two boys and one girl here too. "Then he says to me "This is Lily" pointing to the only girl she has really blond hair with sky blue eyes and fair skin. She nods in your direction and says "You must be Jet" in a kind high voice. I say "Um hi!" you feel a tiny bit shy. Then the man points to two other boys saying they where Matt and Tim. The boy called Matt had blond browny hair with brown eyes and tan skin. The boy called Tim looked a lot like you jet black hair and green eyes and tan skin. They both nod and say "Hey" I say " Um hey." Then the man says "Oh I almost forgot, my name is Burly because of my appearance but here at the camp those three usually call me uncle Burly or just uncle, your welcome to as well if you want." For some reason I feel cheerful and say "Ok uncle Burly!" I say in a cheerful voice. Then he says "you all better get some sleep big day tomorrow and Jet you will sleep with Lily." I look over at Lily's direction and smile she smiles back. Then I look around for a bed then I realise Lily is on a old mattress with a ragged quilt over her. I think 'that looks good enough for me!'So I hopped into bed and as soon as my head hit the pillow I was asleep. I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs "mmmmm yummy" I think to myself. 'Wait a second we never get good meals like bacon and eggs at the orphanage, but then it all comes flooding back to me Im in the exciting forest with Lily, Matt and Tim. Not the boring old orphanage way more exciting here! I get up my leg feels way better. I look at Lily she is awake too "hi" she mumbles half asleep "hi" I say in a way more enthusiastic voice. "When do we get up?" I ask "Whenever as long as its before eight," she mumbles. "Well Im going to get up now!"I say. "No, please stay with me its fun lying in bed together," she says in a pleading voice."Fine I guess" I say in a annoyed voice, but then I smile and say "C'mon I was being sarcastic!" Then she smiles happily. You lay in bed and talk for half and hour and both get up at ten to eight laughing and chattering. 'YAY a new friend' I say to myself. The boys are also now awake. I go to put on my leather jacket, my light blue tank top, jeans and purple sneakers. I was just about to put them all on when you look at Lily, Matt and tim all they are wearing is rags I decide to give them some better clothes. I look in my backpack (I always have a backpack incase of emergencies like these.) I even sleep with one. I am like a tomboy so I have lots of boy things. I hunt through my backpack and find Lily a leather jacket, pink tank top, jeans and dark blue sneakers. Matt got a leather jacket, red tank top, jeans and red sneakers. Tim got green everything except his leather jacket and jeans. They all put them on proudly and happily. "Thanks" says everyone. Then uncle Burly comes and looks around "WOW, you guys have been spoilt!" everyone smiles and points to me. "Well that will save us money! Where did you get them?" he says. "I made them myself, I can make you way better clothes if you want uncle," I say proudly. "Well I would love some new clothes Thank you, now would anyone like breakfast? while were eating it we will talk about how kind Jet got here." So you all sit down and munch your yummy bacon and eggs. Uncle Burly starts talking about how I got here. You sit interested "Well first I noticed something suspicious a man was going around to every orphanage and having a good look at every child there-" "Oh I remember him!" I say interrupting. "Opps sorry carry on." " So anyway he had a good look at Jet here and mumbled something under his breath something about her." I nod remembering everything. "The next night- last night he went to the direction of orphanage I was suspicious and followed him quietly. He creeped into Jets room and put this weird powder over the top of her I think it was to stop her waking up before he got home. Then lifted her up and sneaked her through the window. I couldn't bear seeing some child getting kidnapped I had to do something about it. So I rammed at him and said "WHY ARE YOU KIDNAPPING THIS INNOCENT CHILD?" he didn't answer but fled. I ran after him I reached his house he didn't have time to open the door so he smashed the window. As he was in the process of getting though the window he accidentally dropped you and you fell on some glass on the floor and hurt your leg bad. When that happened I knew it was my chance I ran and grabbed you and fled and then you know the rest." We were all listening eagerly. "Wow thanks for saving me uncle" I say " no prob" he says smiling. "Now who wants to go horse riding?" "ME!" screams everyone.

It has been a few months now I have found out I am an animal charmer-someone who can talk to animals. I have my own chestnut horse called Chestnut! I also found out Tim's my twin brother so thats why we look so similar! I have now made great friends with Matt (I have a tiny crush on him!) I also have and made uncle some new clothes he loves them! "I don't want to go back to the orphanage" I finally groan to uncle. "Well you don't have to!" "YAY" I scream and go off to tell Matt, Tim and Lily. Well thats where we have to leave those four chattering and laughing together!
