I still don't understand why you guys like this book. But oh well here's a shot at a chapter!

"Mafia leader huh?" I say walking in.

"Kay-"

"How many people have you killed?"

"That-"

"I actually don't care.  I don't care about what you have to say. I don't care about the lies you've told me. I don't care about you."

"Kaylee-"

"Just leave me alone. I want my real family back."

"KAYLEE!" His voice booms. I jump, not expecting that.

"Yes?"

He sighed. "I am your father and that's all that matters. You are safe under my protection. I-"

"Safe? I got kidnapped. For the I lost count time!"

He glares at me. "Do not interrupt me. Anyway, from now on you aren't leaving this house. When you do, Annabeth or someone will be with you at all times. Understood?"

"Locking me up won't stop me from leaving this dumb place."

"Kaylee you-"

"See ya round." I say getting up and leaving.

I run to my room, lock the door, and change into my outfit I use for going to the woods. Combat boots, dark pants, a sweatshirt, and a backpack filled with random stuff like a change of clothes, hair brush, pocket knife, and a few other things. I quickly tie ropes to my bed post, and toss them out the window taking the screen out. I slide down, bundle the ropes, and throw them back up. Then I take off running to the woods.

I climb my favorite tree, and sit at the top. I take a book out and begin reading.

I stay out past dark, reading and day dreaming. Tomorrow, I'm going into town to find more information on my parents. Do I have little siblings?

This is making me head spin!

I turn my phone on and see I have several missed calls and texts.

Morgan: Kaylee?!
Morgan: u haven't been at school. Everything ok?
Morgan: I'm scared now. What's happening?

I respond to her saying I was sick and I'll call her tomorrow.

Liv: hola chica. Where have you been?
Liv: everything okay girly?
Liv: I hope ur ok...

I respond the same thing to her.

Pay: How's it going?
Pay: Everyone's worried. Where r u?

I explain to her too, that I was sick and that I would call her tomorrow.

After a while, I could hear my name being called. Lights were shining below me. I could pick out Annabeth's voice. I quickly climb down to be blinded by LED flash lights.

  "Those things are bright!" I call throwing my arm over my eyes.

"Kaylee!" Annabeth screamed and ran to hug me.

"You are so gonna get it later." She whispered in my ear before speaking in a normal voice. "I was so worried about you!

*sighs* now that that's over...

What do you guys think will happen? Will she find her family? Will she literally get grounded for life? What happens next?
