H A R R Y 🔫

The lingering light was obliterated by the rapidly falling night. The once cadmium yellow and violet sky had now transformed into a vast-expanse of ebony that engulfed the entire city. The inky sky was freckled with stars; some fading into the distance white others shimmered brightly to illuminate the darkness.

A deep breath of cool nights air was drawn into my lungs, clearing up my mind so I could focus on the task I was assigned to. Take out the people guarding the exterior of the factory. A scowl appeared on my face when my elbow was accidentally nudged, a quite 'sorry' was thrown in my direction before I felt a harder nudge.

"Will you quit it?" I snapped in irritation at Vicky, watching her icy irises narrowing at me.

"I said I was sorry," she grimaced at my tone, scrunching her nose up at my tendency to become easily annoyed.

"Whatever," I rolled my eyes, returning my gaze to my sniper. I peered through the eyepiece, carefully examining the two bulky men guarding the large front door. "Take down the one on the left," I instructed, wanting to see how good her sniping skills were.

I waited patiently, hearing her grunt 'don't tell me what to do' in response. Continuing to stare through the eyepiece of my sniper, I focused on the head of the man on the right. Once the signal was given, Vicky fired first, hitting the chest of the man. The piercing noise of my sniper firing resonated in my ears as the bullet hit the head of the man I was aiming for, causing him to collapse.

"Fuck," I heard Vicky curse. "I think I missed his heart."

"Why the fuck would you shoot his heart?" I scoffed, making her snap her head in my direction, pulling her brows low.

"What do you mean 'why the fuck would you his heart'? Umm I dunno, so that it would kill him?" she answered sarcastically with a harsh scowl, making me roll my eyes for the hundredth time.

"Aim for the head you idiot, it's easier," I told her in an obvious tone, before lowering my head to stare through my earpiece.

We took down the rest of the guards, shots ringing in the air as my finger continued to tug at the trigger steadily.  Once we were positive that all men guarding the front of the textile factory were dead, we reported to Max and Seth whom were taking care of the guards at the back. Jade and Vlad were taking down the cameras on the inside of the building, dealing with all the technological stuff.

"It's time," I spoke sharply into my earpiece to Vlad, confirming that Max, Seth, Vicky and I have taken down the guards on the exterior of the factory.

"Good. Send in Scarlett and Damien," I heard him order Jade.

My heart jumped into my throat at the mention of her name. Hoping and praying to God that she would be safe and that nothing majorly bad was going to happen to us. I exhaled heavily as I quickly packed away my sniper, before I started jogging down the grassy hill where Vicky and I were situated at the start. Once we had thrown our snipers in the boot of the car that was parked away from the factory, we exchanged our weapons for smaller and more suitable ones for combat.

I could already hear the gunshots echoing into the distance. The plan was that Scarlett and Damien were to take out the bottom floor, and if needed help, Max and Seth were there too. Whereas, Vicky and I were to clear out the second floor, all leading up to the large room that was supposedly where Andrei and Kiera was holed up in.

"We're gonna have to climb," I told her, making her nod sharply.

Vicky was wearing a similar outfit to Scarlett's, having the same special capabilities as well as the bracelets. She held her wrist upwards, pointing it at an already open window, before pressing a small button on the side of her wrist. Out of her bracelet, shot out a silvery rope that dove high in the air and latched itself onto the windowsill. A grappling hook.

"Can it hold both of us?" I couldn't help but question.

"Of course, now grab on," she instructed brusquely, holding her other arm out to gesture at me.

   "Onto what?" I snapped back.

"Me you dipstick!" she exclaimed before wrapping her fingers around my forearm and tugging me forwards.

I wound my arms tightly around her waist, grimacing at the close proximity of our bodies before shrugging it off after that. Soon the grappling hook started to pull us up automatically in speed. My gun was ready in my hand, and as soon as we reached the window I reached for the ledge and pulled myself in. There were three men already there, apparently waiting for us.

My hand shot upwards, firing the gun three times while swinging it, hitting all three men directly in the skull. By the time Vicky was in the building with her gun up, they were dead. She shot me a pissed look before a whole load of noisy gunshots caught her attention. We both narrowed our eyes, pressing our backs against a wall with our guns up. According to the blue prints Niall had found, the top part of the factory consisted of packing and finishing departments, split into large rooms. Since Andrei's men were using this as a temporary base, they were probably just chilling out in these rooms. But now that they've heard the gunshots, they were rushing to see what was going on.

Peeking around the corner, there was a hallway with several rooms on either side. At the end of the hallway, on the left there was a staircase leading to the ground floor, and on the right there was another hallway leading to the main office. My eyes met Vicky's my head cocking towards the hallway, before gesturing her to come over to my side.

"What's the plan?" she questioned, making me groan in annoyance. She had already forgotten the plan.

"I told it to you while we were driving here!" I whispered harshly.

"You were talking to fast! I didn't understand shit," she defended herself, making me roll my eyes with a huff. I wish Blaze was here.

"Okay fine forget that. The plan is, we don't use or guns. Use knives only and or any weapon that doesn't make loud sounds. If we use guns to take out men in one room, the men in the other room will hear-"

"Yeah and we'll have too many people to take down. Got it," Vicky interrupted, making me scowl.

"Don't interrupt me again," I glared at her. She was getting on my nerves and I was just a minute away from smacking her.

"Calm your balls, mate. You sure have a lot of anger issues," she commented, tucking her gun into the pistol holder of her belt before pulling out two knives.

Gunshots from downstairs quieted us all of a sudden, causing me to throw my guard up as I leaned my back against the wall once again. I clutched my knife tightly in my hand, my ears detecting loud shouts from people leaving the room on the floor we were on. I gave Vicky a warning look before spinning around the corner, chucking a knife directly at the first man I saw. It sunk deep into the middle of his forehead, causing him to fall to the ground just as the other men with him pulled their guns out.

"Looks like we'll have to use our guns after all," Vicky muttered next to me as we both pulled out our handguns.

Eventually the idiots ran out of bullets, taking their time to load their guns again while Vicky and I made our move. A grunt left Vicky's lips when she threw a knife at one of the men, hitting his hand instead of head, causing his gun to drop to the floor with a clutter. With my arm raised up, I pulled the trigger thrice, hitting all the men with a bullet to their skulls. A smirk tugged at my lips when Vicky scowled at me, as I kept my gun held up and started walking down the hallway.

We scanned all the rooms, taking out all the men with bullets or knives to the head. Out of nowhere, a large burly man charged at me, knocking me to the ground all of a sudden. I yelped in surprise, before narrowing my eyes and delivering a sharp punch to his jaw. The impact caused his head to spin, giving me enough time to get back onto my feet and shoot Vicky a warning glare. This one was mine.

With a smirk dancing on my lips, I pulled my lucky knife out of my back pocket of my pants, keeping it ready in my hand. He charged at me again, a war cry leaving his parted lips as he swung at me madly. My knees buckled and I ducked, swinging my arm immediately, slicing a wound open on his abdomen. A roar of pain echoed throughout the hallway, his meaty hand moving down to put pressure on the wound as he glared at me with his beady eyes.

A chuckle left my lips as he swung at me blindly, resulting in me twisting my leg to send a powerful kick to his thigh. His knees dropped to the ground with a grunt leaving him, his brawny hand still cupping the bleeding wound on his torso. I was caught off-guard when he threw an uppercut at me, striking me right in the stomach. My knife dropped from my hands as I doubled over, feeling my guts smashed together from the impact.

The muscly man suddenly grabbed my legs and pulled, my body crashed to the floor with the air knocked out of my lungs. In a split second he was on me, his hands around my neck, squeezing the life out of me. My eyes rolled upwards, trying to signal Vicky but she too had her hands full, battling a solidly built woman. My fingers closed around his wrist automatically as he squeezed harder, cutting my breathing off sharply as I felt my vision blur. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my knife.

My hand outstretched to the right of me, relieved that the sturdy man was way too focused on choking me to death. Fingers closing around the handle of the knife, I brought it upwards, immediately swiping it under the man's neck, slicing his throat open. Blood gushed out of the laceration, spurting onto my own face and neck. The man above me coughed and gurgled before his grip loosened and he collapsed beside me.

A breath of fresh air was drawn into my lungs as I gasped loudly, clasping my throat gently. My eyes quickly drifted to Vicky who was struggling to fight the rugged dark woman. With adrenaline pumped in my veins, I sprinted towards the woman standing with her knife against Vicky's throat, grabbing her braided hair and tugging harshly. She let out a loud squeal of pain, struggling against my grip. But before she could do anything else, my hands gripped the sides of her face from behind her, giving it a sharp twist and cracking her neck.

Vicky's eyes were blown wide as the dark woman dropped to the floor dead at our feet. It was almost as if her eyes widened when she saw my bloodstained face, before averting to the dead man with his throat sliced open, lying on the floor. Before any of us could say anything, footsteps resonated through our ears, coming specifically from the staircase at the end of the hall. I quickly pulled my gun from the waistband of my jeans, holding it up with my finger to the trigger. Relief flooded me when it was just Jade and Vlad, along with Seth and Max.

"Damn Styles," Seth grinned, silently praising me before he noticed my dark look. I still hadn't forgiven him for what he said to me back at the club, nor had I apologized for beating him up to a pulp. She made you weak, he said. How weak do I look now?

"Have you seen Scarlett?" I questioned immediately, approaching them quickly, trying to mask my worry and concern. The blood did a good job at that.

"No, still downstairs, they'll be up any minute now," Vlad informed me sharply, as he loaded his gun, his beady eyes staring straight at the doorway ahead of us. The doorway that lead to Andrei and Kiera.

"Maybe they need help-" I suggested before Vlad cut me off.

"No, you stay here. We need you in there. They'll be fine," he snapped at me, causing me to swallow thickly, nevertheless obeying his commands.

Instead of entering like any sane person would, Vlad shot the door lock, even though it wasn't locked, before kicking the door open. Inside was a huge room occupying the corner of the building with floor-to-ceiling windows giving a view of the city of Las Vegas in the distance. My eyes quickly snapped to Andrei, narrowing in anger at the sight of him smirking. Along with him, Kiera stood by his side, her face stony cold along with ten other men. They were waiting for us.

"This doesn't seem like the whole of Valkyrie," Andrei broke the tense silence, strolling back and forth between our groups with a switchblade in his hands. "Who're you missing?"

Neither of us spoke a word, eyes only on Andrei and his gang, weapons ready in hand.

"Scarlett's not here," Kiera spoke up in a smug tone, her dark irises staring directly at me, causing my blood to boil a little. It was uncanny, how similar they both looked.

"She-" I began to say before Vlad cut me off, deciding to stop the up-coming feud between Kiera and I.

"Let's cut the chase here," Vlad spoke loudly in his gruff tone, always getting straight to the point as per usual. "You know why we're here." His words were directed at Andrei.

"Of course I do, you want God's Eye," Andrei spoke slowly in his thick Russian accent, his eyes darting to every single person in the room. "But you're obviously stupid enough to demand it from me."

"Of course not. I'm not going to demand you give it for me. I'm going to take it from you," Vlad spoke simply, causing Andrei's multi-colored eyes to narrow significantly.

"You don't even know where it is," Andrei retorted. He was wrong.

"I beg to differ," Jade spoke up confidently, a smug smirk capturing her features. Andrei clenched his jaw in anger. I was too engrossed with this conversation to notice that Damien and Scarlett still haven't arrived.

"If I were to give it to you, what would I get in return?" Andrei asked all of a sudden, his words shocking his own team and us.

"Andrei? What-" Kiera blurted in surprise, before she was cut off.

"Shut up," Andrei silenced her with a glare. "Well?" Andrei questioned Vlad.

   "We'll spare your life."

"Not good enough," Andrei clicked his tongue, rolling his eyes.

"Then what the fuck do you want?" I snapped in exasperation. Andrei's eyes darted to mine, studying me for a moment before a malicious smirk crawled onto his thin lips.

"Scarlett," he uttered lowly, his smirk still intact. Blood drained from my face at what he said.

"What?" I couldn't help but question.

"I want Scarlett," he spoke louder. I caught a glimpse at Kiera, noticing she was just as confused as she was.

   "Why?" Seth questioned sharply.

"You saw what I did to her father, what do you think I'll do to her?" Andrei retorted, looking straight at me as I felt my blood boil all of a sudden.

Without thinking I immediately held my gun up at him, resulting in his entire team aiming their weapons at me, causing the whole of Valkyrie to point their own at Andrei's gang. It was similar to one of those moments in action movies where everyone's pointing guns at each other, except it was actually happening.

"Put the gun down," Andrei spoke slowly to me, holding his hands up, switchblade still between his fingers.

"No," I muttered firmly, my brows tightly knitted together with my lips in a straight hard line.

I was just moments away from pulling the trigger before I felt something sharp dig into my shoulder painfully out of nowhere. A throaty cry of pain left my lips as I backed away immediately, gunshots erupting instantly as I stumbled back blindly, consumed in pain. Dropping to the floor, my hand closed around the object sticking out of my shoulder, distinguishing it as a knife. With gritted teeth, I yanked it out, tossing the bloody thing away before putting pressure on the wound. I couldn't do much but leave it when somebody from Andrei's side noticed me lying on the floor and started sprinting towards me.

Pushing myself off the floor, I stumbled to my own feet, the loss of my blood slowly taking a toll on me as I pulled out my knife. As he was still running towards me, with my good arm, I chucked the knife at him with as much force as I could, hitting him straight in the forehead. The knife was buried deep into his skull until the hilt was pointing out. A groan left my lips as I pushed myself to pull the knife out, accidentally using my injured arm, hissing in pain.

My eyes drifted upwards when I heard somewhat feminine grunts, widening when I noticed it was Scarlett battling a woman. Her name left my lips in a weak cry due to the throbbing pain in my shoulder. That knife had seriously damaged my fucking shoulder. But luckily enough she heard me, her chestnut eyes darting to mine momentarily before someone's fist crashed into her jaw while she was distracted.

I cursed to myself, heaving myself off the floor to aid Scarlett. But I felt another searing pain in my shoulder, causing my eyes to screw shut as I let out a loud cry. The pain was excruciating. Before I knew it, Kiera Jones was slamming her fist into my face. A surprised yell left my lips at that, my good arm lifting up to defend myself. My knife was still in my hand, I lashed out at her, successfully managing to slice the skin of her upper arm.

"Fuck!" she hissed in pain, narrowing her dark brows as she charged at me.

She swung her fist at me; I ducked low, swiping my leg under her, knocking her off balance. She toppled to the floor clumsily, before she urged herself to get back up. But swiped at her again with my knife, causing her to grunt when the blade caught the skin of her cheek. Blood dripped from the side of her face as she growled angrily, using her leg to strike my stomach before knocking my knife from my hands as I doubled over.

Before I knew it she was on me, fingers closing around my throat and squeezing. Choking breathlessly, my hands blindly swung at her, fisting her long hair before tugging harshly. As I tugged, I flipped her over, taking the position above her with my fingers wrapped around her throat. Automatically compressing, it was her turn to strike me wildly but I remained unfazed, squeezing and squeezing as I watched her life fade away in her eyes.

A sharp surprised cry of agony flew out of my mouth when she suddenly dug her sharp fingernails into the wound in my shoulder, digging deeper and deeper, causing more agonizing pain. My grip loosened and she took the opportunity to shove me off of her, causing me to collapse beside her. My hand cupped my shoulder pathetically as I refused to give up, but before I could even attempt at getting up Kiera was on me again with a knee to my stomach and one leg stretched out, foot pinning my wrist to the ground. She caught my other hand and held it above my head, a victorious smirk growing on her lips as she held my knife over her head.

Suddenly, a loud gunshot rang in the air. Blood splattered onto my face from the bullet wound that was right on Kiera's forehead. My eyes were as wide as saucers when her body slumped and she collapsed onto me. My eyes grew even wider and my jaw dropped when I saw the person who had just killed Kiera Jones. It was Scarlett.

She was still holding her gun up, her face pale with flecks of blood sprayed onto her olive skin. Her lips were parted, trembling from what I could see. I snapped out of my trance when Vlad was yelling at us to leave, retreating with God's Eye as Jade and Seth beckoned us over. Immediately, I shoved Kiera's dead body off of me, getting to my feet quickly before I approached Scarlett.

"Scar, we have to go now," I told her hastily, grabbing her cheeks with my bloody hands to tug her face towards mine. But she was still staring at the dead corpse, her eyes emotionless just like her face. It scared me. "Please Scarlett, come on," I begged, stepping in front of her vision.

A certain emotion flickered through her eyes when she locked gazes with me, before she slowly gave me a look before moving. I grasped her hand tightly tugged her towards the open doorway where Jade was still waiting. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Scarlett looking back at her dead mother while we left.
