Day 16
Yoongi forced himself from the studio earlier than normal. He would actually make it home in time to eat dinner with the others, and he decided he would eat dinner with the others, out in the dining room, and not just taking a plate back to his room to consume and bring out later.
Pulling into his spot in the underground parking area, he wondered what Jimin had in store for him today. Nothing arrived at BigHit for him, so he assumed whatever it was would happen at the dorm. He couldn't even pretend that he hadn't started looking forward to whatever his dongsaeng had in store for him. He continued to read through all the Twitter replies that continued to pour into that tweet Jimin had posted, and he couldn't help but get emotional knowing his music had helped so many people through their own dark times. That he inspired people to keep going instead of giving in to the darkness that consumed them.
He walked into the dorm, quietly closing the door and toeing his shoes off before heading down the hall to his room to set all his stuff down. They must have thought it was someone else coming in since their laughter and banter never quieted down. While it saddened him to know that his mere presence affected them that much, he was happy that all it took was not slamming the door to keep their spirits high.
Yoongi had tiptoed down the hallway, standing just around the corner when he heard voices coming from the dining room.
"Jimin-ah, I don't like seafood," Namjoon whined, looking at the lobster and crab that had been delivered not too long ago.
"Dinner isn't about you tonight, Joonie. These are some of Yoongi hyungs favorites." Jimin's voice was quiet but held no room for argument. "Besides, I got you some Kalguksu and extra meat; you'll be fine."
"Why are you doing all this for hyung anyways?" Hobi spoke up. He had noticed Jimin being extra kind towards the abnormally grumpy Yoongi, and he thought it was adorable and admirable.
"We all deserve kindness in our hardest times, hyung. It's when we're troubled that we need the most love, so I'm showing him that love."
"Never show me that sort of love, and I'm your soulmate," Tae grumbled, and it took everything in Yoongi's power not to laugh.
"Anyone know when the 'special' hyung is coming home anyways? I'm hungry." Jungkook's hand was stealthily making its way towards some of the food on the table when Jimin slapped it away.
"Should be soon. He promised he would be home for dinner for once." Jin spoke up. He was helping Jimin set out all the food, and Jimin had ordered a lot. It seemed like all of Yoongi's favorites were laid out on the table.
Yoongi chose that moment to put Jungkook out of his misery and strolled into the dining room, taking his normal chair at the table.
"Wha- when did you get in hyung? I never heard the door slam." Jungkook stuttered in shock. His normally wide eyes even wider, if that was even possible.
"About 15-20 minutes ago. I've been standing in the hallway listening to all you chatter like old women." Yoongi smiled thankfully at Jimin, knowing all this was for him. "Thank you, Jimin-ah."
"Your welcome, Yoongi. Let's eat everyone." He looked around, finally giving everyone the all-clear to reach for food.
"But.. the door..." Jungkook still looked confused.
"It's called not slamming Jungkook; you should try it sometime," Yoongi said, right before stuffing his face full of the lobster he had strained to crack open.
The End
