X walked out of his room. He rubbed his eyes tiredly. "Morning, X." Four greeted. "Oh..Hi, Four." X muttered.

Four made a face. "I want to talk to you about some stuff."

"Like what?"

Four walked towards the door. He beckoned X outside with a tilt of his head. He wants me to go outside?

X let out a small sigh but he followed Four outside. Four closed the door behind him.

"So..Is it about Ozzy? He's healing. But, what meat should I give him now?" X questioned. "I gave him beef last time and-"

"He went with his father back to the shadow kingdom." Four interrupted.

"Without saying bye?" X asked.

"He's a shadow cat. His kind doesn't say 'bye.'" Four replied.

X simply nodded. He wondered if he would see Ozzy again someday. X followed Four as he walked further ahead.

"He's long gone now, X. And that's not what I wanted to talk to you about." Four said, "Listen, I know you fear me and everything, but I've changed now, X. I won't do that again to you."

X listened to his speech without any comment.

"I..I love you, X," Four confessed. "You don't have to say anything. I just had to get that off my chest."

"Why were you mean to me?" X asked him.

"I wanted to show the contents that I was tough. I'm sorry I treated you like a punching bag. You can repay the favor if you want."

"I..I want to go back to the cabin." X croaked. He's throat was suddenly dry.

Four nodded his head. "Of course.."

X turned around and walked back to the cabin. He entered his room and X laid down on his bed, staring at his ceiling. He was just trying to act tough. Why did he go as far to hurt me?

"Just say no." X jolted his eyes open and saw a white shadow cat with ginger spots and yellow cream eyes on the top of his ceiling.

"W-who are you?" X stammered.

"Gabriel." He crawled down from his spot on the ceiling. "I followed you home and I heard you and the puny blue thing's chat."

"Four's not a thing." X chided.

Gabriel ignored him, he circled around X. "Why would he even love you? He hurted you. He was mean to you." Gabriel's words were like echos in X's head.

"That was in the past."

Suddenly, Gabriel pushed X down and he bared his sharp teeth at him. "Are you applying that he's a good guy? He cut off your limb for Shadow's sake! The sweet words of forgiveness won't work on him, X."

"That was in the past! I swear he's a nice guy now!" X tried to reason with Gabriel.

Gabriel growled, "Is he really?"
