24.) New Students
I wake up as my alarm goes off, groaning I turn off my phone's alarm and plop back on the bed.
It's been about a week since Adrien and I... patrolled. I still have to wear turtle necks to cover my neck from people seeing all the hickeys and bites.
I let out a long groan before sitting up, trying to get rid the foggyness from my eyes.
"Flamme, time to get up," I call out.
"No, I don't wannaaaa..." he drags out.
I turn to look at him to not see him but a white haired boy sleeping on the bed beside me. "Aahhh! Who are you?!" I fall off the bed in a panic.
"What are you talking about? Oh... right..." the boy sighs. "Mirabelle, it's me, Flamme."
"What?!"
"It's the final week of mating season which means all the kwamis turn human for the last week."
"Why?" I ask, standing up to get a better look at him. "Thank God you have clothes on..."

"Honestly, we don't even know. We just assume it's to help you from doing something you'll regret."
I groan. "What happens if Kitsune is needed?"
"It'll still be the same as usual."
"That's good. How am I supposed to keep you close now? You can't go out looking like that either."
"I'll wear a beanie."
I grab his wrist and pull him over to my brother's room. "Nathan!"
"Mira! Zorra is–!"
"I know. I'm dropping off Flamme here, and I'll take Zorra to get on some of my clothes," I tell him.
Zorra floats down the steps as Flamme goes up them. I quickly take Zorra to my room.

"What are we doing?" Zorra asks.
"Obviously you guys are going to school with us," I say. "I can't leave you here. Choose some clothes out to cover your ears and tail. I gotta take a much needed shower."
"Okay!"
After a little fun in the shower, I return to my room to get dressed only to find my room in a mess of clothes.
"Zorra!"
Her head pops up from the middle of the pile. "What?"
"You made a big mess!" I complain. "You're cleaning all this up when we come home from school!"
She groans. "I don't want to!"
"Then you shouldn't of made a mess," I glare, moving over to the pile to look for turtle necks. I pull out a white one. "I'm gonna get dressed, and I expect you to be dressed by the time I get done."
After getting the two of us dressed, we head over to Nathan's room.

Nathan rushes up to me, Flamme floating behind him. "What are we gonna do?!"

"Calm down, I've already made up a plan. They'll meet us at the school and come home with us. I've got it all planned out. Don't worry. Zorra and Flamme, you need different names though or Adrien and Marinette will be suspicious."
"Flami?" Flamme suggests. (Fluh-mee)
"Ziana," Zorra says. (Zee-ah-nuh)
"Those sound good," I nod. "You two head to the school from my window. We'll bring you blueberries. Can you two handle the enrollment for a week? Like go to the principal and tell him your parents are on vacation and you want to enroll here for the week?"
"Yeah, we can say we're twins and that we're friends with the two of you," Flamme says.
They nod, leaving the room out the window. Nathan and I look at each other.
"This is gonna be a weird week," he says.
"Yeah, no kidding," I retort. "Let's get breakfast."
~~~
"Class, I'd like to introduce you to four new students," the teacher tells us. "They're only here for this week. Please treat them kindly."
The four enter, revealing that Tikki and Plagg are also human.
The four introduce themselves, not giving a last name. Tikki gives herself the name Tika. Plagg calls himself Plagi.
"Glad they thought of different names too," I whisper.
Nathan nods.
"Please sit wherever."
Our kwamis smirk up at us. "Well, we may as well sit with someone we know," the two voice together.
"Uh oh..." Nathan mutters.
The rest of the class look at them confused as they move up to sit with us.
"Hey, gorgeous," Flamme greets, putting an arm over my shoulders.
My eyes widen, glancing at Nathan. I've figured out what they're doing. They're here to make Mari and Adrien jealous.
Zorra grins, noticing our looks of recognition and wrapping Nathan in a hug. "You figured it out."
"This is the last challenge though it doesn't really work for you since you know who everyone is," Flamme says.
Plagg huffs and moves over to Adrien's table. "You, kid, scoot over. I'm sitting here."
Adrien gives him an annoyed glare but shuffles down along with Nino to make room for Plagg.
Tikki looks around the room nervously and shuffles up to Ivan. "Is it okay for me to sit with you?"
He nods silently, and she sits beside him. Better to keep an eye on Marinette from behind this way.
~~~
Lunch time rolls around and into the courtyard we go. Zorra and Flamme have stayed close to us all day, making Marinette and Adrien very antsy.
We all group together during lunch. When we sit down, Adrien makes sure to place himself beside me before Flamme can. Nathan sits on my other side. Flamme sits beside Adrien and Zorra sits beside Nathan. Nino, Alya, Marinette, Adrien, Plagg, Tikki, Flamme, Nathan, Zorra, and I all pull out our lunches from home. I made sure to get two extra lunches for them composed of fruit salad with mainly blueberries.
"So, this can't be a coincidence that all four of you are going to be at our school for just a week at the same time," Alya says, her reporter side coming to light. "What's the deal?"
"Well, Ziana and I are twins," Flamme says. "Our parents are good friends with the Flambers."
"They had to go on a business trip to America and left us in their care for the week," Zorra finishes. "They didn't want us missing out on any school."
"That makes sense," Nino says.
Plagg groans. "I travel a lot, so I'm all over the place. My parents are cheese connoisseurs and move around to judge cheeses."
"Weird," Nino voices.
Plagg unwraps his wheel of cheese to eat.
"That stinks!" Flamme huffs, covering his delicate smeller. Zorra does the same.
Plagg sticks his tongue out at the two and takes a bite of the cheese.
"Do you like only eat cheese?" Nino asks.
"Yes."
They all give him weird stares as he gives an eye roll.
"What about you, Tika?" Alya asks.
"My parents run a bakery in China and are here to see all the baked goods of France."
"That's so cool!" Alya says. "Marinette's family owns a bakery too!"
"Mmm, their treats are so yummy..." Nathan voices.
"Yeah, you should definitely visit their bakery," Adrien says.
"She's actually staying with us for the week," Marinette speaks up. "Our parents are good friends. Mom was good friends with her mom before my mom moved here from China."
"That's cool," Alya says. "What's your relationship to Mirabelle, Flami?"
"Friends!" I immediately answer.
"That hurts," he says dramatically. "We're best friends actually," he corrects. "I know everything about her and her me."
"I wouldn't say I know everything about you. I don't know anything about before we became friends," I grin at him. "You won't tell me anything about your past friends."
He gives me an annoyed look.
"So, you're not dating?" Nino asks, glancing at Adrien worriedly.
I give him a confused look as I turn to look at Adrien, who's hair is hiding his face. "Uh, no," I answer. "Adrien, you okay?"
He looks up at me and his eyes are as they are when he's Chat.
Plagg immediately takes notice. "Um, excuse us for a minute." Plagg grabs me and Adrien chases after us. Plagg explains a little more in detail about this glazed over situation for him. "It kinda makes it worse when he gets jealous."
"Then why are we making him jealous?" I huff.
We get a few odd looks from students hanging around. We are running away from a famous model after all, it does look pretty weird.
"It's written in our genes," Plagg shrugs.
"This is so stupid!"
"The only way to make it stop is give in," he says, looking behind him to see Adrien still running after us.
"I'm not having sex with anyone till after high school!" I huff at him.
He shrugs. "Suit yourself." He let's go of my wrist and shoves me towards Adrien.
"Plagg!" I shout at the cackling retreating figure.
Adrien catches me, letting out a low growl. "I don't like Flami."
"Sorry, he likes to get carried away," I tell him, trying and failing to not take in his scent.
He wraps me in a hug. "You're mine."
My face feels like it's on fire. "A-Adrien, you know we shouldn't do this. C-Chat? Chaton? You need to release me."
He pulls back, moving a hand to caress my cheek. His eyes flash. "I don't want to."
I feel myself waver as he holds me up. "Chat..."
He grins, leaning in close and taking my lips with his. I feel myself begin to give in.
"Agreste! Flamber!" a voice icily cuts us off.
The two of us break out of our trance, looking at who interrupted us. I see Adrien's face immediately flush from the corner of my eye. I'm probably not much different.
"Oh my God..." Adrien gulps, backing away from me and not looking at me.
"I do not want to see such affection near my classroom or in school! If you want to do things like that do that outside of school!" Mendeleiev shouts at us. "Get back to your class."
"We're at l-lunch..." Adrien mutters.
"Then get to it," she growls, entering her classroom and slamming the door behind her.
"A-Adrien..." I mumble. "This didn't happen..." I begin to walk away but he grabs my wrist hesitantly.
"W-what if I want it to happen?" he asks, shyly looking away.
My eyes soften. "Then you have to ask correctly."
His eyes widen in surprise. "Wait, seriously?"
I smirk. "I wouldn't lie to you, Chaton. Now, you can ask me after this whole mating season thing is over and we'll see if you still feel the same."
