Apparently, we're supposed to create a movie for our class project. I think the whole thing is completely stupid and incredibly complicated, but I can't show it. I'm not Kitsune right now. I'm Mirabelle, who isn't all that negative like Kitsune. Mylene is in the role of the main character, and she's messed up and gotten scared every time that she sees Ivan in the monster mask. We're only on the first scene, and we've had to reshoot it 14 times now. Adrien is playing as Officer Jones, and Mylene is playing Agent Smith.

"Cut!" Nino shouts and sighs.

"Sorry Mylene," Ivan says.

"Mylene, that's like the tenth take, and we're only on the first scene!" Nino exclaims.

"Fourteenth actually, but who's counting?" Alix says.

"Ughhh..." Nino complains.

"I'm sorry... I'm gonna do better on the next take... I promise," Mylene murmurs.

"You're playing a hero from the special forces, you're not supposed to get all freaked out!" Nino shouts.

"I know, but... that monster mask he's wearing is so realistic and scary!" she whines.

I sigh. Seriously? That's like the most unrealistic mask I've ever seen!

"Just big old me, Mylene! Nothing to be scared of," Ivan reassures, taking the mask off and sticking his fingers through the eye holes.

"If you ask me, he doesn't even need a mask!" Chloe says and laughs with Sabrina.

"Ivan, put the mask back on, you're playing the monster! And Mylene, we need you to stay in character," Nino says.

Ivan puts the monster mask on, Mylene gets scared.

"I need to sing my happy song, it always makes me feel better... Smelly wolf, smelly wolf, stinky breath and slimy–" She bumps into Adrien. "Ahh!"

What kinda happy song is that? It sounds terrifying.

"And the Oscar for best pathetic scaredy-cat afraid of its own shadow goes to... Mylene!" Chloe cackles.

"Chloe, seriously?" I ask.

"Yeah, so what?" Chloe says.

Mylene runs away, crying. Ivan chases after her after, taking off his mask.

"Epic, Chloe! Just epic! What are we supposed to do now without our leading actress?" Nino fusses.

"Who needs her anyway? She was totally lame!" Chloe says.

"You're lame! Mylene is crying her eyes out on the bathroom thanks to you!" Ivan fusses, bursting back into the room.

"Me, lame?"

"Hey, hey! Everyone chill out! You're right, Chloe is lame. But fighting isn't gonna bring Mylene back. I'm the producer, and I'm gonna do everything in my power to finish filming tonight!" Marinette says.

"The deadline for the Parisian Student Short Film Festival is tomorrow evening, precisely 26 hours, 15 minutes and 14, 13 seconds from now," Max says.

"Thank you, Max! And we still have editing, post-sound, soundtrack..." Marinette goes off.

"And who's gonna take Mylene's part?" Adrien asks.

"Um, me of course!" Chloe says.

"You haven't even read the script!" Alya yells.

"Of course I have! The first scene anyway. I can even tell you that it ends with a kiss between Agent Smith and Officer Jones!"

I spit out the juice I was drinking and laugh. "You wrote that?!" Mylene and Adrien kissing! That's the funniest image I've ever thought. That would literally never happen.

"Hold up!" Alya shouts, holding up the script to read. "I didn't write that!"

"Uh... I wrote it. It was just a little tweak. You know, to move the story forward," Nino says.

"What? You added to my script without even telling me? That's looow!" Alya shouts.

"Wait a minute! You mean our script!" Nino shouts.

Adrien sighs, and Rose gives him a glass of juice. He thanks her.

"Oh, who cares who wrote what? We've got to film this thing, right?" Chloe says.

"She's right. Principal Damocles is only allowing us to use school until 6 p.m. sharp. Which leaves us 9 hours, 12 minutes and 12 seconds. 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6..." Max says.

"Well, you're definitely not going to be the backup Mylene, Chloe," Nino says and looks at me. "Mirabelle?"

"W-what?!" I shout, spitting out my juice again and tumbling off my chair.

"Graceful," Adrien says with a laugh.

"Shut up..." I groan. "I'm definitely not going to be k-kissing Adrien!"

"Why not?" Adrien asks, helping me up with a sly smirk. "Have you fallen for me?"

I feel my face heat up instantly.

"Hold on! We can't let Mylene just leave just like that, it's... wrong! We all chose her to play the leading female role! And... we're all in this movie together! She needs our support. I'm gonna go find her and bring her back," Marinette says, rushing out the room. Max and Kim go to help.

"Always trying to save the day, aren't you, Marinette? Good luck finding the filthy hole that scaredy cat's hiding in!" Chloe shouts behind her.

Adrien begins to snicker at my flushed face. "Do you really?"

"I never said I did!" I shout.

"Mirabelle, get into position with Adrien!" Nino commands. "I know you've read and remembered the script, so get to it!"

I sigh as Adrien giggles. What's got him so giddy? He's acting like he knows me. I mean we do but...

"Horrificator, take 15," Alix says.

"Action!" Nino says.

We get positioned under the desk.

"Agent Smith, it's too dangerous. We must evacuate!" Adrien acts.

"You are suggesting we run, Officer Jones? After it devoured my family, my friends, even my beloved dog, Sniffles? Never! I won't run! I no longer fear it, I'm going to face it, then I'll kill it!" I come out from behind the desk pretending to fight with Ivan as the monster. As written the monster runs away. "I'm not scared of that monster, Officer Jones!" We go in for the kiss and Marinette comes in.

"Cut!" Marinette shouts.

"Oh, thank God..." I mutter, placing my hand on my chest to calm me down. Adrien looks at me funny.

"Marinette, what gives? We're in the middle of a shoot, and I'm the director, FYI. I say cut, no one else. Comprende?" Nino says.

"And I'm the producer! Mylene's supposed to be the star of this movie," Marinette says.

"We're out of time, and from what I can see, Mylene is MIA. Let's take it from the top, people," Nino says.

"Here we go again..." Adrien sighs and gets tackled by Juleka putting makeup on his face.

"This is beat! Agent Smith does not need a man in her life right now! Sniffles just got munched on, remember!" Alya fusses.

"Come on, Max, let's go find Mylene," Kim says, and they leave the room.

"Do you wanna finish this film or not?" Nino asks.

"Then let's just make Agent Smith a nurse instead! That'll fix everything," Chloe says.

"Um, I'm sorry. How, exactly?" I ask.

"I don't know, but I'm sure I'd look amazing in a uniform," Chloe says.

"You're not Agent Smith though," I say.

"Oh, come on! We're not gonna rewrite this script again!" Nino says.

"I'm not putting my name on those credits," Alya says.

"This is why I hate group projects..." Nathan says.

"Nobody cares about you anyway!" Chloe shouts.

"What?" Alya says.

"Everyone calm down! This movie's a team effort!" Marinette yells. "We need to go find Mylene! She's here somewhere!"

"I told you. Tick tock, there's no time, we need a lead now!" Nino says. "Mirabelle is here and she's a really good actress. Let's pick it up from the line before the kiss."

I sigh and get back into place near Adrien. "I'm not scared of that monster, Officer Jones!"

We almost kiss, but screams cut us off. Holy crap! I almost kissed him! Thank you screams! I was totally unready.

"Did you guys hear that?" Adrien asks.

The screams are heard again.

"I definitely heard that. We better scope this out!" Marinette says.

We all shuffle out the room to investigate. Nino brings the camera to film.

"Hey! Anybody here? Kim! Max! Where are you guys!" Adrien shouts.

"I saw the same pink goo..." She gasps. "The bathroom!" Marinette says.

On the ground, a little ways from us, is a wristband. "That's Kim's!" Adrien says.

"They vanished!" Nathan exclaims.

"Or they're playing a sick joke on us," Alya adds.

"We should go to principal Damocles' office and tell him what's going on! Nino, come on! Stop filming!" Marinette says.

"Not a chance! This is just getting good!" Nino argues.

I hear a growling noise up above us, and I don't full on look but glance in the direction I heard it. That's when I see a giant pink monster. It quickly rushes off, and I notice the windows starting to get covered in goo.

"Yo, Adrien! Where are you going?" Nino asks.

"I left Officer Jones' jacket back there! Should probably wear it in all the scenes," Adrien lies.

I figure he's going to transform into Chat Noir. We all walk off towards principal Damocles' office and find it covered in pink goo. I watch Marinette drop her phone on the floor outside principal Damocles' office and sneak off most likely to transform too. We investigate the room looking for any clues of the missing principal besides all the pink goo.

"Anyone seen Marinette?" Nino asks, looking around. Everyone gasps and rushes out the room while I casually follow behind with no worries.

Alya finds her cellphone on the floor. "Oh no, this is Marinette's phone!"

That's when everyone discovers the school is covered in pink goo and gasps.

"Quick, check the windows!" Chloe shouts and rushes to a window to try to open it, discovering she can't.

"Crazy," Juleka says, admiring the goo.

"We're trapped! I'm going to call Daddy!" Chloe fusses, pulling out her cellphone.

"Dudes, you know cell phones never work in horror movies," Nino says, overhearing the conversation from inside Damocles' office.

"No bars..." Ivan says.

"No coverage!" Nathan shouts.

"Told you so! Booyah!" Nino says.

Ladybug leaps down from the ceiling in front of the doorway of Damocles' office. "Is everything okay?"

"Ladybug in my movie? This is legit!" Nino cheers.

"And on my Ladyblog!" Alya says.

"We've got to calmly evacuate the building, okay everyone?" Ladybug says.

"Uh-uh." Chat Noir appears at the door. "Easier said than done, Ladybug!"

"Double legit!" Nino says.

"I tried to cut through the goo, but it's no good. Totally indestructible. If Kitsune arrives, she might be able to burn through. So, looks like we're trapped inside the school for now. Just stay put and try to relax, guys," Chat says and turns toward Ladybug. "Shall we take a stroll, my lady?"

I turn away from everyone and look at Flamme.

"Aren't you gonna go somewhere to transform?" he asks.

"No, I don't want them to think I'm a student even though nobody has realized that Ladybug and Chat are randomly in the school when there was no way to get in here."

"Seems smart."

"If it comes down to it, I will if I'm needed."

"Stay together, right behind us!" Ladybug shouts, grabbing Nino. "You too, Spielberg!"

"We're way better off on our own than sticking with the others. Why would we stay with the group when we could just hide out on our own!" Chloe says as she and Sabrina remain downstairs as we all go back to the classroom. Inside, a shoe is spotted on the floor.

"Anyone recognize this shoe?" Chat asks, looking around acting as if he doesn't darn well know that it's his own.

"That's Adrien's shoe!" Nino exclaims.

"That's weird! There's no pink slime here," Ladybug says.

"Yes, there is," Nathan says, touching the goo on the desk then suddenly a large purple tentacle comes out from underneath the desk and grabs him. Everyone but Juleka, Ladybug, Chat, and I scream. The desk gets flung across the room when the creature stands up, roaring. The creature grows after hearing the screams.

So, it runs on fear... Hmmm...

"Everybody run!" Ladybug shouts. Everyone runs from the room beside Juleka, Ladybug, Chat, and I.

"Awesome," Juleka says awed. Horrificator roars at Juleka, but she is not scared. "So awesome..."

Horrificator shrinks, and Juleka lets out a chuckle. It spits goo at Juleka, but Ladybug grabs her and takes her away on time.

"Eww! What's your name, Drool-lator?" Chat says, dodging some goo spit at him with his staff. "Cats aren't afraid of slimy toes like you!"

Ladybug snatches Nino and I to the door. "We better hurry and find out where that akuma's hiding!" Ladybug says.

"I don't see anything. Just miles of slime," Chat says. "Kitsune, if you're here, it'd be a good time to come and help now!"

"Why would Kitsune be here and not be transformed?" Ladybug asks.

Horrificator spits goo at them, but they avoid it and step out of the classroom and into the court.

"Heeelp!" Nathan screams.

Horrificator sees the other students, who hide from it in fear. Horrificator grows. I stand out, casually leaning against the wall.

"Fear! It's fear that gives it its strength!" Ladybug shouts, noticing what I already did.

Horrificator sees me and roars at me. I just laugh. "Back off, goo ball."

Horrificator shrinks and spits goo at me, but I'm grabbed out of the way.

"Hello, my lady," Chat winks, carrying me like I'm a princess. "I see you're getting yourself in trouble as always."

I roll my eyes. "As always? You're the only trouble that comes my way."

"That hurts, beautiful," he over exaggerates.

Horrificator grabs Ladybug's yo-yo, that's wrapped around it's arm, and spins her, trapping her in goo on the basketball goal. It sees the other students, who scream in fear, making it grow. Horrificator sees Ivan, recognizes him, and licks him. Horrificator grabs Nathanael and Alix. On the way out Horrificator covers Chat and I in goo.

"Oh no! It's taking Nath and Alix!" Rose shouts.

"The more scared people are of it, the more powerful it gets! By defeating fear, we defeat it!" Ladybug says.

"Okay, but first we gotta get out of this sticky situation quickly before it dries. Even though I love the position we're in," Chat says, wiggling his eyebrows at me.

I laugh with an eye roll. "How do you suggest we get out?"

"Umm... I don't know. I can't reach my staff. Ladybug? Can you move?" Chat asks.

"No, I'm trapped."

"Kitsune would be really helpful right now..." Chat says. "She could just burn through it."

"What makes you so sure she could burn through it?" I ask.

"Because her fire is special, it's hotter and more powerful than normal fire," Chat says.

How'd he know that? I didn't tell him that. I reach Chat's staff and extend it, causing us to break out. "This is where you thank me," I say.

He smiles. "I owe myself to you," he says and bows.

"Chat! Stop flirting and help me out!" Ladybug shouts.

"Oops, sorry!" Chat says and rushes to free her.

They rush off towards the door Horrificator went through to find that it's stuck with goo. Ladybug huffs.

"Did you see how it just left Ivan alone?" Ladybug says.

"Yeah, what's that all about?" Chat asks.

"Because the monster is Mylene!" I say.

"Where are Sabrina and Chloe?" Alya asks.

"Who cares?" I mutter.

"We'll find them, don't worry. If we can find a way out of here..." Ladybug says.

Two screams resound out from a classroom. We all rush inside.

"We're too late!" Chat fusses.

"But look! We can track the monster," Ladybug says.

We follow the goo to the workshop.

"I'm so amped!" Nino exclaims.

"Turn your amp down to about 4, will ya?" Chat asks.

"My bad..."

We enter the cellar, where I see Horrificator about to attack us but waits patiently.

"Anybody in here?" Ladybug asks.

"Ladybug, it's me, Chloe Bourgeois!"

"Don't worry! We'll get you out of there!" Ladybug says.

"Well, hurry it up already!"

"Is everyone here? Monsieur Damocles? Alix? Nathanael? Nathan?! Adrien! Adrien?!" Ladybug shouts. They all reply except Nathan and Adrien. "Nathanael?!"

"Here!" Nathan's voice rings out.

Marinette sighs in relief after hearing Nathan's voice.

"Adrien?!" I shout just for the fun of it.

I see Chat panic and he quickly hides behind a goo cocoon. "...Yeah yeah, I'm fine! What about Marinette?" Chat shouts.

I laugh as I watch Ladybug duck behind one next. "...Yeah, we've got everyone!" She begins shoving a cocoon. "Ugh, they won't budge!"

The students are heard crying for help. "Get me out!" Nathan's voice is the first I hear.

"Just try and calm down, we'll find a way to get you out of there!" Ladybug shouts.

Horrificator finally decides to appear and spits goo at the entrance, trapping us.

"Great..." I mumble.

Horrificator leaps down and lands in front of Ladybug, towering over her by about 5 feet. "Okay, now this is getting scary," Ladybug admits.

Chat throws a goo cocoon at it, and Horrificator attacks him, and he dodges quickly. Horrificator quickly leaps after him.

"Lucky Charm! Guitar strings? Are you kidding me? Guitar, music... Mylene's song!"

Horrificator spits goo, and Chat twirls his staff to dodge it. "That's it. Enough's enough. Cataclysm!" Chat uses his Cataclysm to make the bars above Horrificator rusted, trapping her.

Ladybug gives trashcan lids to Rose, traffic cones to Nino and Alya, a box to Juleka, and a large wooden spoon to me. "Okay, we're all going to sing."

"Sing? So that's your plan?" Chat asks.

"The only way to get through this to get your fear under control. You all know Smelly Wolf, don't you?" Ladybug asks.

"Seriously? Smelly Wolf?" I ask. "What am I supposed to do with a spoon?"

"Use it as microphone. Care to join us, Chat?" she asks.

Chat makes a drumset with the pots and trashcan lid. He bangs on them as if they were a real drum set. "Of course, my lady."

"Okay everyone! 1, 2, 3, 4!" Ladybug says.

"Smelly wolf, smelly wolf, trapped in the stinky hut..." I begin, not really knowing how it goes.

Everyone begins singing along. "Smelly wolf, smelly wolf, I'm gonna kick your... Smelly wolf, smelly wolf, stinky breath and slimy drool. Smelly wolf, smelly wolf, you are just silly!"

Horrificator roars, but begins to shrink.

"Wow, it's working!" Chat exclaims.

The shrunken Horrificator sees the students, and hugs Ivan. She's about the size of a fat cat.

Ivan begins petting her and notices the pin on her. "That's the same button I gave to Mylene!"

"That's where the akuma is!" Ladybug says, grabbing the pin to break it. She purifies the butterfly and everything goes back to normal.

"Pound it!" Chat and Ladybug say, bumping fists. They rush off to transform back to normal and return as if they were in a cocoon too.

"Awesome," Nino says, having recorded the whole thing.

Mylene jumps up to kiss Ivan, and Nino leaves that as the final scene to the movie.

"Well, that was unexpected," I say.

"I can't believe Kitsune didn't show up!" Nino fusses. "That would've made the movie even better! Hey, where did Chat Noir and Ladybug go?"

"They went home," I say. "I would imagine superheroing would put a drain on a person."

"Isn't that the truth," Adrien mumbles so no one could hear him, but I obviously did, and I look at him with a smirk. He notices, and his eyes widen slightly. "I mean they do look tired out."

I chuckle. "Yeah."

~~~The next day~~~

"We didn't make the cut! He said the monster was a horrible replica! Unbelievable! No joke!" Nino fusses.

"Don't worry, bud. This is how all good movie directors start out," Adrien says.

"Yeah, even if that final kiss wasn't quite what we thought it would be," Alya adds.

"I bet if we had the superhero trio it would've made the cut," Nino says.

"Maybe," Adrien says.

"I wonder why she didn't show up?" Alya wonders.

"I bet she couldn't get inside the school because of the goo or she was busy," I say. Or being smart and not revealing that I'm a student.

"I guess so," Marinette says.

Plagg would be so proud of me. I bought a thing of Camembert. Now I understand why Adrien hates it so much. It smells like a cat's litter box. But the part that smells so bad is the mold part that keeps the cheese fresh inside. You can eat that part but most don't. Anyway, it's really freaking good on crackers. I love it. Eating it rn...
