JJ sighed as he was at Mia's door. His heart was beating so fast. What was he going to say? What was Mia going to think? He came back to be with his family, but still not in their lives. JJ took a deep breath again and opened the door. Mia was on her bed, her head on her pillow.

Her cheeks red as a rose. She was probably crying. JJ felt horrible at the sight of his daughter like that. He sat on the bed next to her and pat her head. "I'm sorry Mia."

Mia got up and wiped her eyes. "Papa?" Mia asked. "Yeah." JJ replied. "I thought you were Dad. Dad said you couldn't make it. Was it work again?" Mia explained.

"Yeah it was work. Papa tried his best to make it, but traffic." JJ explained. "It's okay Papa. I know you just want to take care of Dad and me. I shouldn't be selfish and expect you to be there. Dad told me if I was a good girl. You would come back and stay so Mia will be very good and not selfish so Papa can stay." Mia explained.

JJ stared at her. He hugged her. "Oh Mia wanting Papa to come to your play isn't selfish. Next time Papa will be there with Dad and we can go out for ice cream, okay?" JJ explained. "Really Papa?" Mia asked. "Yeah Papa promise." JJ muttered.
