I felt a little Nudge in my shoulder I whined. When I finally opened my eyes I found Dali was gently nosing me. She whispered " come Luke Fentre is already waiting at the front of the cave." I slowly stood up and waddled to the front of the cave. Dali looked at my back leg and walked over to me and picked me up by the back of my neck. She mumbled with me in her mouth to Fentre " let's go we need to leave quickly." Fentre didn't hesitate he began walking in a rather rushed manner Dali wasn't any slower. I wondered what was wrong. Dali never carried me by the back of my neck She always waited for me to waddle along behind her. Usually we were never in this much of a rush to leave home either. The wind rushed past my fur. I looked straight ahead we were taking a different route to our normal one as well. I squeaked " mum why are we in such a hurry?" Dali roughly said " wolves." My eyes widened Snow started to lightly fall Fentre stopped  and so did Dali. I Didn't Realise but Dali was tired quicker then usual because she was carrying me. She passed me over so Fentre could carry me without even putting me on the ground. We started off again this time we were at sprinting pace. Trees wizzed past us as we jetted along the ground. A small mountain of snow had built up on my nose. I sneezed and Fentre didn't even look down at me. Fentre hissed to Dali " we need to lose the dead weight or we are dead!" Dali hissed " NO!" Dali Jerked Fentre off the course we were running. Dali looked at fentre " were resting in the secret den." Dali carefully pushed aside some heather Fentre went into the den Dali was soon behind us she concealed the den with the heather.  I heard the rush of foot steps run by they spoke weirdly to each other yet i cold understand them. They were saying vague things like "have you fount it yet?" and "My sniffer never lies it went this way!" soon the footsteps had runaway and i couldn't hear them anymore. A while after the wolves had gone Dali approached Fentre " How dare you even Suggest we leave Luke so the wolves could have him for their dinner!" Fenter grumbled " I don't care as much about Luke as you do I would have left him behind in the den for them to find him." Dali had tears swelling up in her eyes " Your a terrible friend Fentre! You agreed to help me in exchange for food!" Fentre looked guilty and sad. He exhaled loudly " I'm sorry Dali, I'm sorry Luke I do love you." Dali softened a bit and went and sat next to him. I was shocked they were talking about me as if i were a thing they found not like they were my mother and father! I squeaked furiously " Are you my parents!" Dali's head twitched up her eyes were suddenly saddened " Yes" she said then said after " go to sleep Luke."  I curled up furiously having only angry thoughts before i fell asleep.
