Alazae

I swear to god, Grams is always looking for a reason to make a feast. She has a formal dining room with this big ass table, she always cooks feasts on holidays, but this time she's going all out. She invited Leilani's family, RJ's family and of course we're gonna be there.

"I got beans greens potatoes tomatoes lambs rams hogs dogs beans greens potatoes tomatoes chicken turkey rat You name it!!!!!" Grams sang as she brought in some food from the kitchen while me and Leila set the table. Leila and I started dying of laughter. "Only you Grams" I said still laughing"

We said the grace and everyone started going down on their plates like there was no tomorrow, nobody jokes about Grams' food. "Baby can you get the door someone just knocked" Grams said in my ear. "Yeah of course" I replied standing up.

"Hey babygurlll" my mother said as I opened the door. "What are you doing here?" I asked
"Nothing I came to see you guys" she replied. "Well we don't want to see you you've been gone for five horrible years and now you think you can just waltz back into my life like you didn't leave me to take care of Zari by myself? After you left everything went from wrong to worse, i worked my ass of to keep food on the table and clothes on my back and Zari's. Do you know how much quality formula cost? Im sorry but I can't afford for you to come back into our lives and fuck with us for six months, only for you to walk out of our lives again. Zari and I are finally happy so don't even try to come back like your some type of supermom." I said as I mugged her. She looked ratchet her hair was stiff and her outfit didn't match at all.

"Alazae Aniya Smith I know you aren't talking to me like tha–" I cut her off by slamming the door in her face. "Who was that sugaa?" Grams asked as I locked the door. "Nobody just a stranger that got lost" I replied. "Zae you ain't the quietest person ya'know" Grams said with a smug look on her face and an eyebrow raised. "Your daughter is here Granny" I replied then walked back to the table.

"Everyone I'd like you to meet Ms.Natalie, she's my daughter and Alazae and Azaria's mother. She's gonna be living here until she can get back up on her feet." Grams said. I shake my head and block everyone out. Right now Zari is looking at me with a confused look on her face and I don't want to be the one to tell her our mother didn't want us.

For the rest of the night everyone except my so called "mother" joked around and played games with each other. "5,4,3,2,1 HAPPY NEW YEAR" everyone screamed. We all celebrated then after an hour everyone left.

Everyone had already noticed that my mom is white but her mom, which is Grams is black. My mom was adopted as a new born since Grams can't give birth and widowed. After I showered and changed into my pjs I got in bed. I checked the time on my new iPhone which was delivered to my door at 9:30. Then I got out my MacBook and went to YouTube.

I had just finished watching a DK4L vlog when there was a knock on my door. "Come in" I said as my mom and Grams walked through the door with Zari close behind. "How may I help you?" I asked as I helped Zari get into my bed. "We just wanted to talk to you girls" my mother replied as her and Grams sat down on the lounge chairs in my room.

"There really isn't anything to talk about but I'm willing to listen" I said while wrapping Zari's hair in a scarf. "Babies listen, I didn't want to leave you I just had no choice I was too young for children, I couldn't handle it. Please forgive me" she said "This is pathetic mann for real? tell me how you were too young for children. If you were too young to have kids you were clearly too young to be having sex knowing the possible outcomes. You had a choice, you just chose not to stay so don't even waste your time coming at me with that bullshit. All I want to know is why you left? Were we not good enough? What have you been doing all these year Natalie?" I said eyeing her. "Of course you were good enough, I just had to leave. The first year was the year I found my self and the year I met my new husband. Right now I'm a proud house wife and mother of three children."

"So you went along and got married and had kids did you even think about the pain you inflicted on us? Dad lost it when you left, we were left to raise ourselves. He was always at the crack house doing God knows what. I swear to God man all I want is closure then you can go back to your family." I sighed getting out of bed.

"Calm down Alazae we'll sit down and talk tomorrow morning" Grams said as she dragged my mother out of my room. "Yeah whatever" I replied while getting in bed with Zari.

"Is that our mommy" she asked looking up at me. "Tuh unfortunately yes" I said. "She didn't want us" she asked after my reply. "Zari I don't know go to sleep we'll talk in the morning"
