Chapter 2
"Kota, this had better be good," snarled Jaiset, ducking into the alley with him.
"It is," assured Kota, checking to make sure his friend wasn't followed by the Imperials. "It most definitely is."
Once inside the secret hideout where the meeting was being conducted, Jaiset finally dared to ask, "Alright, what's this about Kota? Why have you called us together now?"
"He has a point," said Dustzav. "The Empire's cracked down everywhere. Do you even realise how dangerous meetings like this have become? Especially considering who you were not one year ago."
The others in the room nodded and grumbled their discontent with Rahm Kota.
"I understand your concerns with this, but we have a more pressing matter to deal with currently," said Kota, pulling up a star map of the Cyrillia System, specifically Cyrillia itself. "We have a chance to strike out against the Empire and deal a massive blow to their manufacturing plants."
"Cyrillia?" asked Timnolo, their resident Twi'lek who had provided the groups meeting location. "That's got some major droid factories on it. Run by the Serv-O-Droid companies, specialise in DUM pit droids I hear."
After dumping that well of information on the group, Timnolo scrunched his face up with thought and concern. "Why Cyrillia specifically?"
"Won't it have a high Imperial presence?" asked Jaiset. "I mean, those factories have got to be important so the Empire'd wanna protect 'em."
"It's not some much the factories but the plans that they have for them," said Kota. Everyone looked at him to continue his explanation.
"There are plans in the databases there about some kind of construction project-"
"You're trying to scare us with a construction project?!"
Kota shot him a look and Jaiset was silenced. "It's a project on a planetary scale Jaiset. One that will take years to complete but there are hints in the designs and schematics of the use of Kyber Crystals. Big ones."
"Kyber Crystals?!" exclaimed Dustzav. "Those are volatile unless used by a Jedi."
"We can't let that happen Kota," said Timnolo shaking his head. "Hundreds will die, if not more, if a program like this comes online."
"Then it's decided," said Kota. "We're going to Cyrillia. To terminate this program."
However, not all amidst Kota's rebel cell were in accord with his ideas.
"Kota's on the move, destination Cyrillia."
