Confident

Genji sang horribly in attempt to annoy Galina as she meditated. "You have free time and this is what you choose to do." She teased opening on eye before closing it resuming her stress relieving activity. Genji was always a loud bubbly person who was the yin to her yang. After several years of spending time together Galina had learned to value their friendship and opened up slightly to her best friend. She had told him about the golden sands to the snowy mountain tops of her home. Genji always asked for more stories saying that she made the world interesting and he apparently loved hearing her voice.

"I would spend it with you if you decided to not be a stick in the mud today." Genji said poking the tip of her nose. He had gotten more playful ever since he turned ten years old and had gained a sharper sense of humor.

"Why don't you go bother the girls in town I'm sure they'll pay attention to you since I know how much you like being in the center of it all." He frown messing up her short hair. Some of the guards jokes that she looked like Ana Amari with Jack Morrison hair.

"You're the only girl I need." He had gotten far more charming and confident as the years went by too. Now they were the best team in their groups with the twin blades. He had same wakazashi that she had and they practiced with only that weapon so far. They would move up to katanas later.

"You have to see you father today remember." Genji jumped up fearing that he would be late since that fact had passed his mind. His older brother took a seat besides Galina sighing at his brother.

"Late as usual." Galina glanced at him. She had no right to speak out without breaking several rules that had been engraved into her head since day one. So she held her tongue watching Genji navigate through the seas of people. The clan were hosting another in hopes to bring the two together. She liked the idea of peace it meant that she wouldn't have to kill anyone for now.

"He likes you Tani and more importantly he trusts you. I recommend you don't loose that trust." She knew that her confidence wouldn't waver under such a threat. Galina Saad was here to stay and nothing to shake her. This clan had built her up from the ashes of her old life in a woman that had strength as wide as the ocean. She stood bowing slightly to dismiss herself. If there was one thing that she understood it was loss and Galina was determined not to loose her best friend.

Genji visited Galina in her room as she sat talking to Calista about her day. "Tani can I speak with you?" Calista smirked at her removing some her armor. Calista had been drafted into a patrol a few months ago and she enjoyed working with her team.

"What's up?" Galina asked relaxing a little. Genji's face faulted for a second.

"The grandmaster of that clan that is staying with us really likes your drive and fighting style. He apparently wants you in their deal for peace." Galina's face remained stony like. So she was to handed off like cattle from one owner to the next. If this was a political deal she doubted Genji's would even question it. It's was all or nothing when it came to peace between others, everything comes with a price after all. "I'll make sure you stay Tani." He placed his hands on her shoulders with a determined look. He was a man on a mission to save his best friend a very little could stop him.
