Grace navigated her way through the maze if people she was on the blue team. She saw Leo socializing with some girls while putting on red armor. Grace could do this, this is what her mother has been training her for, she would show not only Leo, but the whole camp what she could do.

All the kids were put in position Percy put her in the left attacking flank he gave her a "you're going to get creamed but don't worry I feel for you" smile.

She looked at her opponent a guy standing in front of her short with brown hair he kept looking down at the dirt "Demeter" she thought "A child of Demeter would be scared of fire, they fear loosing their livelihood" she said quietly

"You're a smart one" the kid next to her said "Nico DeAngelo" he said holding out his hand

"Child of Hades it's a pleasure to meet you" She said shaking his hand

"You better get ready" he said "this is going to be hard"

"Phssssss I was born for this" Grace said as the trumpet signaling the beginning if the game sounded

Grace ran right into the battle she summoned fire at will and hurled it into the boy's armor he screamed and fell to the ground giving up. She flashed a smile at Nico as she ran forward.

The next kid who challenged her was a girl from Athena Grace summoned an illusion of spiders crawling up her arm as she fell to the ground in defeat.

Grace continued advancing she hardly ever had to even use the sword in her hand she just used her magic. She saw the flag about twenty feet away there was about seven campers huddling around it. Grace summoned a spell that went hurling towards them scattering the kids. Next she shot a dark spell that bound the campers to the ground making them unable to get up.

She reached for the flag, but suddenly there was a sword at her throat

"What do you think you're doing?" a voice asked. Grace ducked down rolled in between the figures legs and kicked the figure hard in the spine causing it to fall right into the pole of the flag

Grace quickly grabbed the flag and started sprinting back to her side. Grace used her dark spells to pin any opposing camper down. There was the line that symbolized her side but there was one camper standing there blocking her path, it was Leo Valdez

"I want a fair fight you don't use your magic I don't use my fire just hand to hand combat" Leo said

"Uh I don't really think that's fair" Grace said "you're one of the seven of prophecy"

"You're the daughter of Hera" Leo challenged

"Holy freaking Tartarus Leo there's a hellhound behind you"

Leo turned around seeing nothing while Grace started sprinting the other way. Grace was about I cross the line when a spear whizzed past her head.

"You know I can aim closer right?" Leo said only a few yards away.

"Geez Leo you must be seriously obsessed with me I mean honestly" Grace said with a smirk

Leo looked flustered "it's my job" he muttered

"Well Leo do you have a little crush?" a voice asked

Grace looked around to see Nico.

"Of course not her mother ruined my life" Leo shouted

"That was her mother this is her" Nico said giving Grace a "go across the line and just win this thing" look

"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree" Leo said

Grace stepped over the line Chiron shouted "blue team wins our new camper Grace has won it for the blue team"

Percy ran up to her looking shocked "that's incredible your the daughter of a goddess who's not supposed to have children you come to camp and you win capture the flag"

Grace laughed a bit at this.

"Sounds a bit like you" someone said wrapping their arms around Percy's waist

Percy blushed. "Grace this is Annabeth my girlfriend"

"Annabeth Chase my mother was absolutely horrid to you and your boyfriend I truly honestly and deeply apologize"

Annabeth looked stunned. "Uh I would say I forgive her but I don't"

"I understand that" Grace said "but please forgive me for being her daughter"

"Oh it's not your fault plus I like you so we'll be cool" Annabeth said tucking her blonde hair behind her ear.

"Congratulations" Chiron said walking up to her "since you seem to have the powers if Hecate would you like to move to her cabin?"

"No thank you I'm quite content where I am" Grace answered

"Leo you will be bunking with Grace tonight"

"What in freaking Tartarus are you talking about?" Leo whined

"Grace apparently is very prone to nightmares so you will be staying in the Hera cabin for tonight"

"But I run the Hephaestus cabin"

"I run the camp" Chiron contradicted

"It's fine" Grace butted in "he hates my family and that's understandable he doesn't have to come"

Chiron sternly said "he'll be staying with you and that's final"

Leo cursed under his breath and disappeared into the woods

She turned around to see Nico sitting in the distance alone.

"Hey Nico" she said sitting down on the log where he was sitting

"Hey Princess" he said with a smile

"I'm not a princess I'm a queens daughter" Grace said

"So a princess" Nico said with a laugh

"Why aren't you with your friends?" She asked confused

"That's where we are the same people don't like Hades people don't like Hera"

Grace sighed "yeah I've noticed" she said looking into the forest

"You know he would've killed you already if you weren't something special"

"Yeah sure" Grace said sarcastically

"I'm serious" Nico said "hey stupid question will you be my friend like an actual friend?"

"Yeah sure it mean you're my first friend around here"

"Great" Nico said with a smile "well I'm going to go" he said disappearing back into the shadows

GRACES POV

I walked back to my cabin and waved to the statue of my mom as I made my way into the bedroom where I arranged things for Leo "geez why does he hate me?" I asked

"He doesn't" a voice said "hello I'm Rachel Dare the camps Oracle"

I turned around to see a redhaired girl.

"Hi" I said containing my surprise

"I'll see you later I have big plans for you" Rachel as she left the cabin

"Well that was strange" I said sitting down on a beanbag preparing to play some castle crashers on the Xbox.

After beating the game and taking a shower I heard a knock at the door.

"I'm here" Leo said walking into the main room.

LEOS POV

I must say the cabin looks stunning. I walked into the living room to she her sitting in a beanbag playing some kind of fps game on the xbox.

"Oh" she said pausing the game

"Geez someone's a bit cold tonight" I said trying to lighten the mood

"I expected you'd be the upset one being that spending one night with me" Grace said sarcastically

I didn't know what to say had I been rash? Well I guess. "ok look I was upset your mother freaking ruined my life..."

"EXACTLY MY MOTHER NOT ME I HAD NO PART IN IT, IN FACT I TRIED TO HELP YOU BUT YOU DONT KNOW THAT DO YOU SOME STUPID INTERNET ARTICLE DIDNT TELL YOU THAT" she shouted

A voice from the headset she had on said "wow Leo must be there"

I looked at Grace she looked as though she had tears in her eyes

"Never mind just forget it" she said putting her headset back on "go back to your bunker I'll be fine"

"No you won't be and that's why I'm going to stay here" I said sitting in the beanbag next you her

Just out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw her smile
