Tics
Okay guys, let's get down to business:
Tics.
No, not 'ticks' that you get on your body after a life changing adventure in the woods, 'tics' that have to do with your body. A nervous tic.
Now, you could be nervous, uncomfortable, awkward, or just casually sitting there and not even realize you're doing it.
A tic is a sudden, repetitive movement or sound that can be difficult to control. Tics involving movement are called motor tics. Tics involving sound are called vocal tics. Tics can be either simple or complex.
Simple motor tics involve a single muscle group. Complex motor tics usually involve more than one muscle group and can even look like the person is doing it on purpose.
Simple motor tics include:
• nose wrinkling
• head twitching
• eye blinking
• lip biting
• facial grimacing
• shoulder shrugging
Complex motor tics include:
• kicking
• skipping
• jumping
• mimicking movements by others
• smelling objects
Simple vocal tics involve one simple sound. Complex vocal tics involve more meaningful speech, such as words.
Simple vocal tics include:
• coughing
• throat clearing
• grunting
• sniffing
• barking
• hissing
Complex vocal tics include:
• repeating words and phrases
• animal sounds
• calling out
• yelling
There are tic disorders, so if you wanna learn more about this type of thing, you can go to:

I didn't change up much of the wording because I didn't wanna give any of you false information.
I do bite my lips a lot, so I think I learned something new about myself. I'm doing right now actually XD. I also repeat words and phrases and sniff a lot, but I think that's because of other reasons. I dunno, I'm probably wrong. A tic that I definitely have is flicking my wrists and ankles until I feel a 'pop', I do it 24/7! I'm doing it now! That's why I have to be careful with some things. Because it's so hard to control, I might have to put things down and then flick my wrist. Like phones, I don't wanna drop someone's phone. And since I'm the person that collects hunting and pocket knives, I obviously have to put them down too. With my ankles, I pretty much just shift back and forth and flick them when they're off the ground.
Now that I think about it, the shifting for that tic might have caused something else. I rock back and forth a lot and don't realize I'm doing it until my mom tells me or is looking at me. I'll have to tell her about that later.
Well, it seems as though I have a lot of tics! Five, I think. Some I doubt have anything to do with tics, like the sniffing and repeating. Others not, like the lips biting and rocking.
So, tell me what you guys think! I definitely didn't think this would turn into an educational chapter, but I just happened to become interested when I did some simple research. I might tell my friends about the tics I've noticed they had after this experience. I think it's pretty cool :)
Do you guys have any tics? Tell me in the comments! I hope you learned something and had a bit of fun along the way! I'll see all you guys in the next chapter, cya later!
