13. Man-imal!

Tomoe ate silently at the table, his mouth moving silently as he sat there. He didn't say much, Well... He didn't say much alot but right now it was a different kind of quiet.... It was a different kind of silence, Something he didn't know much about.

Mikage knew exactly what was going on but Elisa looked worried and quickly looked at her husband utterly confused, she arched her brow as he waved it off and smiled gently, knowing full well what was going on in the teens mind...

He was scolding himself.... He was whining slightly to himself, Why did he fail to hold in everything? Why did he cry like that? It had been so long since he lost it like that first at the adoptive office and now this...

He didn't know what to do, and he felt like eveything made no sense at all. The teen shivered and bit his lip, trying to think everything through even if it was nealy impossible at the moment.'

He wanted to cry again but he didn't, it was like eveyrhting was weighing on his shoulders confusing him alot. Dang it. He felt like a child, crying over a ruined piece of candy of a flat bike tire.

Stupid...

Baka!

He huffed softly and tried to eat, his hands shaking slightly as he took small bites. Elisa caught this and then paused gently before looking at him sharply, she looked at Mikage and nodded making him grin and then slightly put more in the teens bowl. Tomoe blinked and paused as his ears flattened and he jerked his head to look up,

" Eat up Tomoe!" Mikage smiled softly and then snapped his fingers gently " You gotta eat to get your strength up right?" he smiled gently and then patted his head making Tomoe pause.. his wide innocent eyes showed shock but he quickly looked down and muttered his thanks.'

Nanami seemed to catch this.... She didn't know what to say really; the way he cried onto Mikage an hour ago left her heart trembling. She thought he was just a deliqunet with no care, but even so... She saw his soft side, his caring side that left her being pulled by the heart strings.

Tomoe was so much more different then she thought, he had a care in his hands and seemed to be more gentle then before that day had started. He seemed tired and slightly beat up at the emotional end, but he also seemed more soft and gentle through it all.'

The white haired teen stayed quiet before Elisa smiled and took the dishes,

" I'll take care of this.' She beamed softly and walked away leaving Tomoe to squirm slightly in his seat, only then did Saki jump onto the table and then movd her tail in his face. He whined but looked up weakly before smiling weakly when he cat walked onto his shoulders and laid down.

Nanami stared with wide eyes, slightly twitching from how the cat was with this person.. this boy. She paused slightly and looked closely at his eyes, not expecting to have Tomoe slightly look at her and then blink in surprise. She almost yelped and dropped her phone before looking away and swallowing cutely.'

She didn't mean for that to seem anyway, she was just wondering what he was feeling right now, what was going through his mind now at that very moment? Was he mad, happy? She didn't know... But when she looked back he was still slightly looking at her. She blinked and then paused as she looked at her phoen screen slightly,

" Oi..' She whispered suddenly making him pause and then send her a weak and almost bitter look. What was she going to do now? Pity him or something? He paused and looked at her slightly before she chewed her lip and looked down at her phone,

" Your...... Your Tomoe.' She whspered softly... but that one saying... that saying made Tomoe blink and pause. He quickly looked away awkwardly, rememebering what had happened between them before.. they had.. fought. And she asked what he was....

Not who he was, so when she said that to him.. He trailed off inwardly and looked away slightly confused at what she had said. Nanami on the other hand pouted at her phone and blushed ever so slightly.

This left Mikage pausing as he cleaned the table off.. he noticed the weak atosphere and he arched hs brow slightly at it... Hummm... Something was off there buthe said nothing really as he finished cleaning the table and Tomoe got up and scratched his neck softly,

" C-Can...' he trailed off softly ' Can I turn in?" he whispered suddenly leaving Mikage to blink and then slightly look at him. He then nodded and smiled softly,

" Go ahead.. You've had a long day Tomoe-Kun.' he whispered softly leavng Tomoe to pause but nod gently.. he then turned on his heel and went upstairs to lie down.... Only when he did flop on the bed he stared at the clock and then weakly looked at the ceiling.

He didn't understand; why where they being so nice to him? So accepting of someone like him? Someone so dangerous and cruel.... He didn't understand and yet it left him swallowing and then looking around the room.

Tomoe hugged his knees and titled his head softly before opening his window and staring up at the stars.. but he made no ntent to leave at the moment, instead he gently stroked Saki who was gently on his shoulders. He smiled softly and weakly at the animal before weakly sighing out.'

"I've got a persitant family this time... huh Saki?" he whispered weakly and then looked down a bit, he bit his lip and then paused when that girl flashed through his mind.

' Your Tomoe'

Pfft Duhh..' Tomoe paused suddenly and then looked down a bit.'

Stupid girl....'

Oh course he was Tomoe; what else would he be?

" GOOD MORNING!!!!! GET UP MY LITTLE LAMB!!!"

" GET OUT OF MY ROOM!!!" Tomoe whined out and then covered his head leaving Elisa to smack Mikage harshly and then roll her eyes, to think that the kid was just so emotional the other night and now he didn't even wanna move.

Under the blankets Saki poked out her head making Mikage yelp and then cover a hand to his chest, his eyes wide. He still had to get used to that cat........

Tomoe on the other hand whined out and shivered, he looked at them weakly before biting his lip and looking away slightly,

" Why are you guys getting me up?" he whispered softly leaving Elisa to smile and then shake her head a bit,

" Well one you got school Mister. Two, breakfast is nice and hot... and three. We wanted to give you a special good morning.' She smiled a bit and then chuckled as Tomoe looked at her blankly. He looked down weakly before Mikage chuckled and smiled,

" We'll let you get dressed! Come down stairs when your ready.' he beamed slightly. This left Tomoe biting his lip and then looking away slightly annoyed, Why did they talk to him lke he was a little kid or something?

He waved it and off and waited for them to leave before getting up and stretching his back, he then slightly started to get ready.

He went to the hallway bathroom and washed his face before pulling on his shirt and buttoning it up, he pulled on his pants and slightly tried not to fall into the floor before weakly grunting and glaring at the mirror as he fixd his hair.'

The teen then sighed out as he made it downstairs.. only to pause when he saw Nanami eating in the chair next to his. He paused but then huffed meantlly before sitting down and letting the pregnant silence fill the room again.'

Tomoe found this strange but sighed out as he tasted the food, like always it was good for Elisas cooking, but he did try some miso and paused a bit.... That was pretty salty.... He blinked slightly while Elisa grinned a bit,

"What do you think? Nanami is taking some lessons from me and -

" Salty..' he muttered blankly leaving Nanami to blanch,

" I only put a small amount!"

" Block head! What? The size of the palm of your hand!?" he snapped slightly leaving both parents to blink, look at each other and then blink again as they looked at the now full out fighting pair.'

" FOX!

" HUMAN!"

"MAN-IMAL!

" WHAT THE HELL!?" Tomoe snapped out before Elisa snorted weakly behind her head... Manimal.... She didn't see that one coming but Mikage twitched, paused, got up and then ran to the ktchen so that he could burst out into a painful rant of laughs.'

MANIMAL!?

" WEIRDO!!!!" Tomoe suddenly snapped, shoved a ton of rice in his mouth, swallowed and then grabbed his bag as he shot up and glared. He then huffed and stormed towards the door, taking his bento lunch and then runnng out. Nanami then shot up and glared slightly,

" OI GET BACK HERE!" She screamed but then took off out the door as well leaving Gwen to pause but then snicker as she shook her head. She then looked at the kitchen door way where Mikage looked in and snickered slightly,

" That was entertaining..'

" It was..' Elisa nodded her argeement and then sipped her oblong tea... Mikage paused but then smiled slightly at her, his little grin seemed lopsided leaving her to blink and then arch her brow playfully,

" What is it?" She blinked as he smiled, crossed his arms and then leaned back slightly,

" Someone forgot their lunch." he beamed and pointed at Nanami's lunch box... Elisa paused but then twitched and slightly looked at her husband,

" What are you planning....' She muttered blankly but he waved her off,

" You know how I have that big god conference coming up right?" He beamed slightly before looking at her with loving eyes, " Wanna go with me this year?" He whispered leaving her to blink in complete shock.

It didn't regester in her mind what he was talking about and or why he was talking about it.... Until she protested and said something about the shop. But he held up his beauitful pale hand and smirked a bit,

" Ah-Ah Ah.. You can come with me this year... Those two can take care of the shop..' he smiled and then folded his arms before something twigged in Elisa's brain. Ying and yang got together, positive and negative started to work about each other.....

And all you heard was..

" EHH!?!?'
