so some family friends from canada came down today and there are two kids, one a year older than me, one a year younger than me, both boys. we see them once a year but we haven't seen them for a few years because of some complications.

anyways so my brother and i have never had much in common with them. but this year we learned we have quite a bit in common. they both love to read, they both like video games, they both like youtube and they both like strategy games and roleplay games like d&d. so we actually had something to talk about.

we played this game where we each got a turn to play a youtube video. at first we tried to weird each other out [i won]. then we just ended up showing each other stuff we like and they've got me hooked on a new anime with badass female leads from what i can decipher [i only watched one episode]. we also had a nice conversation about d&d.

so i actually had fun socializing. wow that's rare
