*Rey's pov
We flew in silence. The seconds felt like hours and the minutes an eternity. I felt quite useless. Chewy did the flying and I just kind of sat there.
"Chewy, I'm going to go check on Finn." I finally decided.
He howled his agreement and I left the room. We had stashed Finn and Kylo in the crew's quarters. I walked in. I don't know what I expected to see, but certainly not what I did.
Finn was still in a coma in the bed, but Kylo had woken up. Or at least I thought he had. We had herd him mumbling and fidgeting from the other room, but as I walked in, I was astonished to see that despite all of the noise, he was asleep. He also had tears streaming down his face.
Sorrow and sadness swelled in me and I wrenched my eyes away and forced my steps to Finn first, not the monster. I'd check on him later.
Finn's breathing was normal and he didn't seem to have any serious injuries.
Strange. Why was he still asleep?
"You will wake up." nothing happens. "Oh well." I pressed a kiss to his forehead and walked over to Kylo.
I crouched down next to him. His face was contorted with pain, and glistened with sweat and blood from the jagged whole I made in his face and he was mumbling.
"Dad...no...I'm... sorry...Snoke... would have... killed me...and Rey. Please...forgive... me..."
I stumbled back in shock. Kylo Ren. The most powerful sith, other than Snoke, in the galaxy, who had killed countless numbers of people before, was sorry.
"She's... my friend...or was..."
I'd had enough. This was foolishness. Us friends? Ha. Laughable.
I fumbled through a medical cabinet, stumbled back over to Kylo and stuck the sedative in his arm. Slowly his mumbling faded and he went limp.
"Aaaarrrrrhhhhh." Chewy called from the cockpit. We were almost there.
"Ok!" I yelled back, and slowly left the room with the unconscious bodies and wandered back to the cockpit with Chewy.
We left light speed and a beautiful blue and green planet came into view. I don't think I'll ever get tired if seeing things like that.
I sit in the captains chair and hit the radio.
"Rey and Chewy requesting landing permission." I said.
The replie was immediate.
"Oh come on Rey, you know you don't have to ask." General Organa.
I smiled. " 'Kay we're comin in!"
She laughed but I could hear the pain.
Five minutes later and we landed. A group of medics met us on the landing platform.
Chewy opened the exit ramp and ran to get Finn. A minute later, he returned and we walked out together. Immediately a group of medics came and hurried Finn away. The group of people immediately dispersed along with Chewy.
I don't know where she came from, but General Organa walked up to me soon after the group left. I looked at her and she looked at me, gave me a look of gratitude and pulled me in for a hug.
I closed my eyes for a moment and wondered if this is what it would have been like to have a mother, but knowing who's still on board prevented extended enjoyment and I pulled away.
"General," I said nervously "there's something you need to see."
"What is it, dear?"
"Um...follow me." I turned to the falcon and went up the ramp.
She followed wordlessly, taking in the walls and seemed to be absorbing the all memories she could. I stoped at the closed door of the Crew's Quarters and took a deep breath.
"Prepare yourself." I wispered and gestured to the room. She gave me a weird, confused look opened the door.
I herd her take a sharp breath and rush over to her unconscious son. I finally work up my courage and entered the room. The General's face was streaked with tears and her shoulders shaking. Her hands wandered from the jagged slash on his face that was violently bleeding now, to the gash in his side. She finally somewhat pulled him onto her lap and sobbed into his chest. I found myself crying along with her.
"Thank you, Rey" she said hicuping "Thank you so much!"
"Should I get a medic?" I asked, wiping the tears from my face.
She just nods and caresses her son's face.
I left and went to search out a medic.
