Talia felt worn out at this point. She was alone in the flat since Harry had ended their 'mentoring' quite abruptly, saying that he had more important things to do and dropping her back off at the entrance of the university. At least, he drove her to the gates and didn't let her walk back. It was almost dark out after all. Talia had texted Elisa and Astrid about her whereabouts before tossing her phone off somewhere in the living room (she couldn't remember at this point) and wandering off to the kitchen.

Her gaze wandering around the insides of their fridge – empty (not like she expected anything else). Talia sighed and shut the refrigerator door, watching as the light turned off once closed – the cooling air disappearing with it.

The sound of her phone beeping brought her out of her daze. The slight vibration causing low hums to emanate from the small area. She walked towards the sound and picked up her phone, disregarding the caller ID. There were only a few people that every really called her so she didn't bother.

Talia was always one to pick her friends and keep to herself – not like she wasn't friendly and outgoing because matter a fact she was. She just liked to have a lot of friends, people to surround herself with but a few best friends. Only a few really knew her and she was fine with that. Talia was very picky when it came to people being close to her and that's why she kept Elisa and Astrid close to her but she had to admit – she would still feel a bit lonely occasionally. Then again, everyone feels alone at least some of the time.

"Hello?" Talia spoke into the phone, hearing a muffled voice at the other end. A sharp ringing sound causing her to hiss and pull the phone back from her ear. Her face cringing at the keen sound before slowly bringing it back to her ear, making sure that the blare was gone. She really had to get a new phone. Talia had been putting it off for quite some time, relying on her parents' hand-me-downs. She got the occasional teasing quips from her friends but it was probably time that she started listening to them.

"Talia? Are you there?" Astrid's voice stated, sounding smothered through her phone. The unmissable sound of Elisa's laughter booming through the speakers, paired with a few other voices.

"Yeah what is it?"

"Head over to Mel's dinner remember that? The one with the bomb-ass donuts!" Elisa shouted out. Her voice resonating through the phone but sounding a bit farther than Astrid's voice was. Talia unconsciously nodded her head, forgetting that the two couldn't see her before muttering a reply in approval. Astrid mumbled a quick goodbye and hung up the phone, leaving the apartment in silence once more.

Talia quickly walked off into room, grabbing a jacket that could withstand the rain (if it were to pour once again) and walked back out. She was still clothed in the grey jumper that Elisa had so willingly gave her. Talia didn't trouble herself to change once she got back to the apartment but instead chose to lay and scroll through her phone, online window shopping for a new bullet journal to use for the school year. She was always very fond of those. Her feet took her next to the door where she slipped on her white sneakers, making sure she had her wallet and keys before opening the door and walking out.

---

Talia had been walking for a few minutes before her surroundings started to familiarize in the back of her mind. They have been to Mel's a bunch of times in the past. Their donuts being the main reason for that. It started out when they were apartment hunting of course – looking for places that were near the university but also accessible to everything else. That's exactly why they had picked the place that they were in now. It was quite close to a lot of things. A laundry shop just across their place because they were too lazy to wash their own clothes. A few restaurants here and there that they have already explored, way too many times before they even moved. There was also a pet store near by which they all loved specifically Talia, every time she'd pass by she was tempted to walk in and steal a pet. The usual.

The sounds of bells chiming above her when she entered led some people to look up at the entrance. Mel's was a diner that was designed to look like a vintage one somewhat. It was a cute and quaint little establishment – not a lot were in it at this time since it was about sundown.

A waitress already handing her a menu and asking how many for. Before Talia could reply, her eyes landed on Elisa waving her hands around to catch Talia's attention. She smiled and shook her head before moving past the waitress slowly and pointing towards her friends who were – like she had heard on the phone, with other people.

Talia had a friendly smile on her face as she made her way over and watched as Astrid scooted over to give her some space in the little booth they were in. Talia said a little thank you before looking up at the two new people who were seated as well. One of them being a girl with long black hair and crystal green eyes. Talia's gaze shortly stopped at the girls perfectly trimmed brows before moving onto the other stranger who sat at the end of the booth near Elisa. He had a smile on his face as Astrid spoke a few words that didn't make its way to Talia's ears. He had slightly ruffled hair and a long sleeved pale blue button down adorned on his upper body. He was quite attractive – Talia had to admit causing her to give him a soft smile when she noticed he was looking at her. Well, they all were – waiting for her to give a reply to Astrid's words but she was obviously too preoccupied studying the two.

"Sorry... what?" Talia mumbled out. A chorus of laughter and chuckles leaving the table. Talia playfully rolled her eyes at the scene around her and took notice on the mini donuts that were already in the center of the table. The mini cinnamon sugar donuts that have captured their hearts – most especially Elisa, she just couldn't get enough of them. Every so often she'd make her way towards the diner just to get a take-out of those. Astrid and Talia were quite sure that the staff knew Elisa by heart now.

"I was saying that this is Evan and this is Belle. Belle's Astrids' mentor while Evan's mine." Elisa said. Her words sounding slightly smothered by the fact that she had a few mini donuts stuffed in her mouth. Talia looked at her with a scrunched face and a laugh threatening to fall from her lips. Before she could reply or say anything else, Evan was already stretching his arm out for a handshake which Talia took willingly and smiled at Belle who gave her a hello.

"I'm just a year above all of you and Evan's third." Belle stated with a pearly white smile and took a donut from the shared plate. Talia watched as gravity made the little sugar crystals fall from the doughy substance and onto the table beneath them.

"How do you and Evan know each other then?" Talia mumbled and took a sip of water that Astrid had been drinking from.

"Oh, we had a few classes together. We both had creative writing together, physics lab and other things." Talia nodded her head at the reply.

"Guess you're almost done with hell then?" Astrid added in with a slight chuckle. Her tone nothing but playful as she gave Evan raised eyebrows and pursed lips. Evan replied with a laugh of his own before simply nodding in reply. He shifted in his seat, letting out a small cough to clear his throat before placing his hands on the table. Talia's eyes landing onto his hands that looked so smooth and soft.

"Almost but I guess I'm going to miss a lot of things about this all." He said and moved his hands around the air, gesturing towards everything. Talia laughed at his words and nodded her head, taking in more of the sugary substance. She was going to have to do a lot of yoga to get rid of that.

"This all? What could you possibly miss besides stress and over confident professors?" Talia questioned him teasingly, wondering what exactly he would miss about college.

"Your friends didn't tell you?" Talia looked at her two friends who were already giving her bright smiles. The smiles that gave her a sign that there was something brewing in their minds. Astrid and Elisa were always the ones dragging her into multiple things whether it be some food festival or something as boring like a book reading. Don't get her wrong – she loved reading. Talia always found it fascinating how different words can construct an image in anyone's head but listening to someone who had the most monotone voice for around two hours wasn't exactly entertaining. She didn't understand why Astrid found it exciting.

"Tell me what?" Talia asked with a nervous smile on her face, wondering what her friends knew that she didn't.

"I asked your two friends here if they wanted to go to a little welcoming event tonight in a club on the other side of town. It's a tradition – "

"Especially for freshmen – they have to attend. It's also owned by a guy that's the head of one of the frats so you know it's going to be hella good. Plus, you never know, you might just meet someone you like there yeah?" Belle added, cutting Evan off. Elisa let out a little teasing 'oooh' looking between Astrid and Talia. Talia let out a laugh and shook her head. She wasn't looking for anything particularly serious right now. She was just never the type to commit to someone unless she really felt a lot for them which was rare. Talia was always quick to get bored of people, never finding someone to keep her on her toes.

"Alright." Talia easily agreed with a shrug of her shoulders. She was never one to pass up a good party. She always enjoyed her time out especially when she was around her friends.

"That was quick." Evan mumbled accompanied with a chuckle. Talia laughed as well and shook her head.

"Drinks are usually free, right? Plus, I'm never one to say no to a party. At least not right now where's the absolutely nothing to do yet." Talia said and smiled. She was already feeling excited. She hadn't gone to one in a while – being preoccupied with fixing everything from the apartment to school, making sure that everything was okay. Leaving her no chance to really go out and do anything but now that the opportunity came – she was going to grab it.

"Yes, and I like this girl." Evan stated with a laugh and gave Talia a little playful nudge. The table erupted with laughter before finally toning down, after a couple of looks from other customers. Astrid's shushing not making much of an impact since she was laughing too. Her shushes leaving her mouth as gentle huffs.

"Well, guess we'll leave you to it. I texted Elisa the address – just tell me if you guys need a ride to the other side of town."

"I think we can take a cab yeah?" Talia asked the two, watching as they nodded their heads in agreement with her words.

"You sure? It's no problem. I live around here as well, it wouldn't be much of a trouble." Evan said as he started to get up from the booth that they were seated in for quite a while. Talia didn't even notice that the sun had already set, leaving a soft orange glow outside. Her gaze looking out the window to see some people passing by in a rush and cars drive by.

"Yeah we're sure! We usually take quite a while to get ready and all that. Don't worry about us. We'll be there for sure." Astrid said with a smile, watching as Evan placed a couple bills on the table for his share before nodding and saying a simple goodbye and walking out of Mel's. All their eyes watching him as he walked and got into his silver civic. He pulled out of the curb with a small wave at the four girls and then speeding off.

"He's pretty hot yeah?" Belle said out of blew, breaking them all out of the trance he had put them in. Talia let out a loud shriek of laughter causing a few heads to turn towards their table but none really caring. Talia quickly covered her mouth with her hand and shaking her head but agreeing with her statement. Anyone with two eyes would agree that he was pretty attractive.

"Anyways, I'm going to get back to my dorm and I'll see you guys there yeah? I'll be going with a couple people too." The three nodded instantly. Belle smiled at the three before getting up from the table, placing a few notes on the table then walking out of the diner and off back to the university.

"Guess we're going to have fun tonight yeah?"

---

The three were instantly at each other's throats about what to wear. They all had similar taste so it really wasn't that hard to go through clothes. It was just the fact that one would want to wear something that another person wanted to but they all settled in around an hour, leaving them another half to do whatever else they needed to do. Talia had a simple straight neck black bodysuit on accompanied with denim pants – a black belt with a silver buckle looping her waist. Elisa was dressed in a little black dress with buttons up near her bustier. She placed a pair of cherry earrings on along with her long black hair being tied into a high ponytail. Astrid settled for a lace bodysuit as her top – going for the more provocative choice stating that she needed to get 'dicked down tonight' but pairing the revealing lace with a pair of denim jeans and letting her auburn hair down.

Talia was the first to finish since she simply put on her overused white sneakers and placed a wing of black sharp liner and a pair of lashes that took her about five minutes to apply. Elisa and Astrid followed shortly, placing on their own pair of sandals and then rushing out the door. Their supposed talked about time of finishing in an hour turned into two leaving them somewhat late but they didn't mind.

"Ok, grab a cab." Astrid spoke out loud to the other two as she buckled her sandals on the steps of their apartment. Their luck was probably taking a total turn since Elisa was easily able to grab a taxi. The three entered quickly as Elisa muttered the address and then they were off. It was silent for a few minutes as the three settled down and took a few breaths to relax their beating hearts.

"Okay, so I'm going to text both of you if I find a guy that wants to dick me down tonight." Astrid stated, breaking the silence causing a snort to leave your lips and a groan leaving Elisa's mouth.

"You can't fuck in the apartment because you're too loud." Elisa spoke sternly whilst she fixed her boobs to tuck them into the dress more. Talia watched the action and another laugh left her lips but she agreed with Elisa's words shortly after.

"She's right, you moan too loud." Talia shivering at the reminder. Astrid looked at them with mocked displeasure before nudging Elisa with her elbow getting a small 'ow'. The three friends erupting in laughter once again as they reminisced Astrid's old flings on the way to the club. The sound of laughter and curses filling the small cab.

---

Talia was the first one to step out of the cab. Her eyes already falling onto the club that stood in front of her. The word HICS flashing in bright red neon lights. She could practically feel the bass pumping from inside on the concrete below her. Her two friends shortly joined her as the cab driver left after getting paid.

"Who names a club HICS... sounds stupid." Talia mumbled before feeling a hand wrap itself on her elbow. She looked to her right to see Elisa smiling wide and wiggling her brows up and down. The three friends walked to the entrance seeing other people entering as well, ID's being checked then getting their hands stamped. The three got their hands stamped in record time before they made their way towards the actual entrance of the club. The drowned-out music from outside finally sounding clear as they stepped through a door.

Talia took notice of her surroundings – seeing more than a hundred people. Everyone looking different from the next. Her eyes glanced towards people on the floor who seemed preoccupied with other people, grinding their hips and arms flying everywhere. A slow and jazzy beat started to play across the speakers, turning the club's energetic atmosphere into a lust and desire filled one.

There comes a time, when all the games get old
And all the thrills they have are gone
Tired of the run around, and there comes a time
When you just want to feel those sweet sound

Talia looked between her two friends who were dragging her through the crowd and bringing her closer to the open bar. Her eyes were still busy scanning the crowd. Her dark brown eyes surveying the room – the sight of arms waving catching her attention. A small smile displayed on her face as soon as she was met with Evan's smile as well. He lifted up a bottle of beer he was holding and raised his brow like he was saying cheers before her eyes drifted back towards her friends. Elisa was already handing her a shot glass filled to the brim with liquid that Talia couldn't analyze. Talia trusted her friends enough that they wouldn't roofie her or anything so she clinked her glasses with the two before taking in the liquid, leaving her with a burning throat.

Cliché but I love you, so glad that I found you
When the days get long
I long to be right next to you, ohhohoho
When the nights are cold
The thought of you, pulls me through
But right now I'm just glad you here
I'm just glad your here my dear, don't ever leave my side

"Let's go to the dance floor!" Elisa yelled out close to Talias' ear so she could hear better. She simply nodded in agreement, downing another shot and grabbing onto Astrids' arm. The three quickly got to the corner of the dance floor. The sound of the bass thumping through their veins and the soft melodies making its way to their bones.

"You girls good?" A voice stated out loud causing Talia to open her eyes and be met with a soft hand on her shoulder. She looked at Evan with a smile before laughing and nodding her head.

"Great actually!" Talia said in reply causing Evan to give her a brighter smile and nodding his head in approval. He quickly asked if they wanted more drinks to which Talia looked at the two of her friends who were already nodding. Talia looked at him with a shrug and shook her head playfully.

"I'll come with." Talia spoke out and held onto Evan's arm before he could leave. He nodded and told her to go first before walking a few meters behind her. She couldn't possibly leave someone to get them drinks – Evan was nice she could tell but she was always careful with people. People may not always have genuine intentions and it was always better to be cautious then to completely throw everything into the wind.

Being with you is not a waste
Happily ever after is our, fate
You've been the one I've been looking for
So glad that I found you
Cliché but I love you

"It's only been a few minutes but I guess you guys are having a good time yeah?" Evan spoke out with a chuckle once they made it to the bar. Evan was able to get the bartenders attention pretty quickly despite the amount of people who were trying to get his attention. Talia squinted her eyes at his actions in a questioning look.

"Tender knows me – I go here quite a lot. Guess being friends with the owner has its perks ye?" Evan stated and smiled at Talia. Talia opened her mouth to ask him a question before she was being abruptly caught off. Evan's attention leaving her face and onto the hand on his shoulder.

When the days get long
I long to be right next to you, ohohoh
When the nights are cold
The thought of you pulls me through, Oohohohoo

Talia's eyes landed onto the ring cladded hand that had appeared on Evan's shoulder. An emerald, wolf and rose ring. She's seen that before – definitely seen it before. Her gaze wandered a bit more, looking up to see a face that she wasn't really expecting.

Harry stood before her dressed in maroon striped slacks. The fabric somewhat constricting on his thighs making him look thicker than when she had last saw him. A plain white tee on his chest. Simple but something about the way he wore it just made it look much more special. Her eyes looking him up and down – noticing a pair of brown loafers on his feet with a rainbow embellishment on top. Her gazing finally stopped at his feet before she was looking back up at his face. He was already looking at her with a soft smirk on his face but still noticeable. His tongue peeked out to moisten his lower lip before his gaze broke and turned to look at Evan.

"You good yeah?" Harry asked him with a nod of his head. Evan nodded and turned to look at you.

"Talia – this is him! The guy I was talking about who owns the place." Of course, he did. Talia looked up at Harry with a tight-lipped smile, noticing that his eyes were gazing down at her feet for a second.

Harry slowly nodded his head before getting closer to Talia, blocking her view of Evan. His chest almost pressing into Talia's before he was turning to his side and getting the bartenders attention. Talia closed her eyes for a second, feeling his legs brushing up against her knees. The feeling causing a slow shiver that crept up from her toes up to the top of her head. Harry gave her a slight glance as he talked to the bartender asking for a round of shots before pulling away.

"I'll be seeing you tomorrow and I'll be seeing you Wednesday." Harry spoke to her. His breath slightly hitting Talia's face. The smell of mint leaves and whiskey making its way to her senses. She was nodding her head quickly at his statement and watched as he took the tray of shots the bartender had given him, watching as his biceps protruded against his white shirt. Little inks of black catching her eyes before she looked back up at him. Harry gave her a small smile and then turned to Evan bidding him goodbye and walking off. Talia watched as he walked away – her eyes trained on his ass that looked quite good in the striped pants. She quickly turned back to look at Evan. Her hands taking the glass of vodka and sprite in front of her and taking large gulps before placing the glass down.

"You know Harry?" Evan asked her with amusement in his features.

"Yeah sadly... wish I didn't. Anyways, shall we?" Talia asked him, wanting to change the topic quickly. Evan chuckled before jumping off the bar stool and gesturing for her to lead the way.

"We shall."

When the days get long
I long to be right next to you, yeah yeah yeah...
When the nights are cold the thought of you pulls me through
But right now, I'm just glad you're here
I'm just glad your here my dear
Don't ever leave my side
