They bounded over there. 

"Hello Leafstem," purred a black tom with green eyes.

"Hi, Robin!" Leafstem replied.

He suddenly saw Littlenose, fear striking into his gaze.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"My name is Littlenose," he snorted.

"He's my brother," Leafstem added.

Wariness became welcome.

"Hello, Littlenose," smiled Robin.

"Hi," he mumbled.

Suddenly, a dark brown she-cat with amber eyes slid in.

"Who's that?" asked Littlenose.

"This is my sister, Hope," explained Robin.

Hope. The name dug deep into his fur; it gave HIM hope.

"Hope," he whispered, "what a beautiful name."

She smiled at him, making his heart flutter.

"Name's Hope. Your name?" she asked.

"Littlenose," he meowed.

"A strange name," she tipped her head.

"Nonetheless, will you be my mate?" he asked.
