"May I come in?" I asked, peering through the open door.

"Yeah."

There she was, the sunshine of the family. Sitting in her bed. Her eyes were lifeless.

I silently sat down beside her. Not knowing what to say.

"How did you deal with it?" She finally broke the silence.

Looking at her I saw the tears. She was trying her best not to let them fall.

"It doesn't matter what I did. Everyone has a different way to grieve." I put a hand on her shoulder.

"No, Olivia I need to know. What did you do? How did you deal with it? Please, tell me. I'm begging you. I don't know what to do I feel like I'm going insane!" She got up and started walking around the room.

I got up behind her.

"Allison I know what you're feeling. I know exactly what you want to do. But you can't. Don't give in to that feeling of revenge. It will kill you from the inside." I stopped her from pacing around.

"Olivia, what did you do?"

"I moved to Beacon Hills to kill Derek Hale." I swallowed.

That was exactly what she wanted to do.

"Gerard asked for my help to catch the kanima and kill Derek." She stopped to look at me.

"What did you tell him?"

I knew what she could have told him. It's exactly what I was afraid of.

"I'll help. I want my revenge and I don't care if it kills me."

"Allison I-"

"No. You, of all people don't get to say anything. Not when you did the same."

And then she was gone. I wanted to tell her what had happened. The truth. The truth about why Derek had bit Victoria.

But would it make any difference? Or just spoil her mother's last memories?

"That's not from Scott. He wouldn't have texted me and he definitely wouldn't have mentioned Derek." Allison explained as Chris looked through her phone and I polished my swords.

"The sheriff's station?"

"If Derek's really there, I doubt it's willingly."

"You think Jackson's there too?"

"Maybe. Maybe him and the one controlling him."

"How many do they keep on a in a night shift?" Gerard asked, laying the blueprint of the sheriff's station.

"Since budget cuts, maybe four at the most."

"If Jackson's there, they're either dead, or paralysed by now." I stood up.

"This might just be the confluence of events we've been hoping for."

I tuned them out having much bigger things to worry about.

Scott, Stiles, their parents and Derek were all at the station along with Jackson and his master.

"There are at least three humans still alive. We have to think about them. They should be the priority." I spoke up again.

"What do we do now?"

"Maybe you should tell us. That authority falls to you now." Gerard turned to Allison with a proud smile.

Chris and I looked at each other. It was supposed to be me. I trained my entire life for this. Allison wasn't supposed to be the leader. She wasn't even supposed to know about all this. Being the leader meant having blood on your hands. Making decisions nobody else wanted make.

Allison, of all people, didn't deserve to go through that.

"Not at her age." Chris spoke up.

"She's almost eighteen. She knows there's a difference between revenge and retribution."

"Does she?" I turned to look at her. We all did.

She didn't reply, nor did she meet my eyes. She kept looking at Gerard.

"Make the decision from a vantage point of strategy over emotion and we'll follow your lead."

"I want Derek dead."

"What about Scott?"

"Scott's not the one who forced my mother to kill herself."

"But he's not a bystander." I countered.

"You can't pick and choose." Chris added.

"But I can prioritize. And the priority right now is Derek."

"And his pack?"

"If they try and protect him, then we kill them."

"That is bullshit, Allison. And you know it as well as I do. You're doing this because your mom died. Because you want revenge. You're gonna get yourself and a lot of other people killed." I yelled, turning to my cousin.

"And you didn't do that? You told me yourself that the only reason you came here was to kill Derek, and he wasn't even the one to kill your mother. Don't kid yourself, you're jealous because you're not the leader. Because you don't get to decide anymore."

"Atleast when I wanted revenge, nobody else got hurt. As for being the leader, I was trained my entire life for it yet not once did I actually want it. You don't know shit Allison, so don't pretend that you do. You're a dumb and vulnerable teenager who's just being manipulated." I looked at Gerard as I finished speaking.

"Olivia, I think it's best if you go to your room." Chris interrupted as Allison was about to speak.

I scoffed before leaving the house and getting in my car. All my weapons were already with me or in the trunk. I knew there was a chance of Gerard coming after me. I had to go somewhere safe.

But Scott and the others, they were in danger. Do I really want to leave them on their own?

Oh screw it.

As I neared the station, cars were already lined outside.

They're here.

I entered, weapons in hand. Smoke filled the entire place.

I turned a corner and was met with one of the hunters. He immediately shot at me and I moved back for cover.

Aiming at his leg, I threw one my knives. He yelled in pain and fell down and I took my chance to run.

I heard growling and ran towards it to see Allison shooting at the Kanima.

It easily took out the arrow and stood up. As he got ready to attack, I aimed from behind and emptied my clip into it's head.

But nothing worked. Jackson just got back up.

"Allison, run!"

As she ran, the kanima turned to me. It was fast. Before I could react, I was thrown against a wall with the flick of its tail.

By the time I got up, it was gone.

"Dammit!"

I ran after them to find Allison on the ground, paralysed and Matt crouching down beside her. I couldn't ses the kanima but knew it was nearby. I threw one of my smaller knives on the opposite side of where I was and Matt took the bait.

As he walked away I ran up to Allison at the same time as Chris.

"Quick thinking on the distraction." He praised me, picking up Allison."

"Thanks, get her out of here. I'll take care of the kanima."

"Olivia, be careful."

"I always am."

Once again, running towards the growling, I found myself in the holding cells. The sheriff and Derek on the ground and the Kanima hanging from the cell of Melissa.

I ran up to it and stabbed it in the back and shoulder at the same as Scott dug his claws into it. I backed away as Scott threw it on the ground.

The kanima ran away, Derek and I gave chase. There was no way in hell I was letting it get away again.

"Derek, where did it go?" I panted, stopping behind Derek.

"I don't know, it disappeared."

As he turned to me, I fell to the ground, writhing in pain.

"What, what happened? Olivia, what's happening?"

But I couldn't respond through all the screaming. Although, I don't know if it was in my head or if I was actually screaming out loud because I blacked out.
