Chapter 4
Jai looked up to see Chris barreling through the crowded parking lot towards him.
"Dude, man, "Chris pulled the door open and plopped on the seat. "She said yes!"
"Congrats, Chris." Jai said. "Where are you taking her?"
"On a picnic, over on the island," he answered. "I've got it all planned out."
"That's great." Jai said, but Chris could tell that Jai's heart wasn't in it.
"What's wrong, Jai?" Chris asked.
Jai sighed and said, "I don't know. This girl, I guess. The one that's writing me notes."
He paused.
"And?" Chris pushed.
"I know it's stupid but I really like her, even though I have no idea who she is."
"Wow. That's problematic." Chris stated.
"Don't start using big words on me, buddy." Jai ordered. "What could I do to find her?"
"Volunteer for that stupid V-Day card table...thing. The one where you collect V-Day cards and the students can buy flowers or chocolate or whatever and then you deliver them." Chris suggested. "That way you'd get to see people's handwriting."
Jai stared at him in amazement before bolting back inside the school to catch whatever unlucky soul that was still in the office.

"Dear Jai,
So you've signed up for the Valentine Swap
table. You know, that elevates your status in
my mind because that means you must be a
romantic at heart, which is really cute and
major bonus points in my book.
I have a date this Saturday. I really wish it
was you I was going with, but this guy seems
really sweet. I don't really know him very
well yet, but we'll see what happens.
Love,
Your Secret Admirer"
