Meeting them again
Your POV:
I wake up and start panicking when I do not recognize the room but then remember everything that happened yesterday. "Right, I have amnesia of some sort," I mumble to myself as I get up and stretch before searching for clothes since I had slept in the ones Loki gave me yesterday. When I am done getting dressed, I go into the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror, shrugging. "I guess that I'm okay," I say out loud without realizing.
As I see a hairbrush and a toothbrush on the bathroom counter, I feel as if I have seen those objects before. Tilting my head to the side in curiosity, I take the hairbrush and start brushing my hair, the usual feeling calming me down slightly. I then brush my teeth before walking outside of the bathroom and sitting on my bed. I bite my lip in worry as I realize that I am in an unknown building with people that I do not know, or do not remember, at least. I do not even remember my name!
I realize that I had been walking in circles when I hear the door of my room open, making me turn around. As I see Loki looking at me from the doorway. I immediately calm down, feeling relieved to see him for some reason. Now that I think about it, that is pretty weird. I do not remember him, just like anything really, so why do I feel protected and safe when around him? I cannot trust anyone right now, not until I am sure that the person is trustworthy or when I remember everything. Oh god, what if I can never remember? What if I spend the rest of my life scared and alone?
I feel arms wrap around me which surprises me, but I soon melt into the hug, a feeling of relief washing over me as I wipe a small tear away. It had fallen without me even realizing. As Loki lets go, I smile softly at him. "Thank you, sorry about that," I apologize. He only shakes his head. "No need to apologize, this must all be very confusing for you. Do not worry, we will explain everything soon, but you need to eat first," He says, his voice awakening something deep inside of me as I look at him.
"Wait... 'we' as in you and other people?" I ask, paling as he nods. "Yes. My apologies, but our... friends... are better at explaining everything. They also want to see you since you were gone for quite a while." I sigh but nod, pouting at him. He smiles sweetly and I blush, looking at the ground as we walk down the hallway. As we enter the kitchen, I see that it's empty. I look at him, a silent question in my eyes. He tilts his head to the side but chuckles as he understands what I am curious about.
"They did not want to scare you, so they are eating somewhere else right now. They care about you and are worried," He says, going to the fridge as I sit down. I watch him as he cooks what seems to be pancakes and I realize how his shirt shows his back muscles. He may seem thin from far away, but he totally must have abs. Wait, what am I thinking about right now? I need to stop thinking like that or I'll get in trouble. I can still watch the show though. God, hail that booty honestly. Okay, I am really weird.
I grin brightly as he gives me pancakes. "Yes, pancakes are so good!" I start eating and he does the same, sitting in front of me. I moan in delight at the taste. It feels as if I haven't eaten anything that good in years! Of course, it is not like I would know. Still, this is so good! "Your pancakes are so good! I could marry you!" I freeze as I realize what I said. He seems just as shocked as me. I blush deeply. Great job, dude, you just said to someone you do not remember that you want to marry them because they make great pancakes! Those pancakes really are good though.
"I should do that more often." My eyes widen. Did I hear that right? Did he seriously just say that he should do that more often!? Oh my god, I cannot believe it! Wait, he knows me, right? What was our relationship? Why did I not ask myself that question until now? My stupid brain seems to only think about that body of his, I should not be surprised. Oh no, do not tell me that I said that but actually have a boyfriend that will get jealous! That would be annoying and very troublesome.
After we are finished eating, awkwardly, of course, we put our things in the sink. I follow him to the elevator and start stressing as I think of what could happen. What if they are angry at me or something? What if they make jokes that I don't understand because I don't remember? What if they don't like me anymore? What if I say something and accidentally hurt one of them? What if- "Stop stressing so much, darling, you'll do just fine." I look up at Loki who kisses me on the top of the head, a blush covering my cheeks yet again.
"If you want, I can tell them that you don't feel good and you can meet them another time," He suggests, but I shake my head, though it is very tempting. As the elevator comes to a stop, I bite my bottom lip in worry and walk out after Loki. We walk down a long corridor that feels familiar before stopping in front of a white door. He looks at me for confirmation and I take a big breath, nodding. He opens it and we walk in, sitting at the end of a table closest to the door. I look at who is here and see two girls and seven boys, not counting me and Loki.
One of them stands up as they all stare at me. He has short blond hair and blue eyes that seem surprisingly innocent. He walks closer to me, slowly as to not scare me. I flinch away slightly when he moves his hand but then I realize that he wants me to shake it. I do not know what I thought he was going to do and I honestly do not want to know. I hesitantly look at his hand, glancing at Loki for comfort. He nods and I turn back to the guy, shaking his hand. "My name is Steve Rogers, I am glad to see that you are okay," He says, smiling at me. I smile back and he sits again.
A guy with dark brown hair, one I had seen when I first woke up, smirks at me. I somehow know that it's not dangerous though, more like a way to say hi. "I'm the Tony Stark. I see that you and Reindeer Games have connected again," He says, his eyes glowing in amusement. I frown in slight confusion but then see Loki rolling his eyes. "Will you stop calling me Reindeer Games?" He asks. "Oh yes, because you are Loki of Asgard. You are burdened with glorious purpose," Teases a guy next to a girl with short red hair. He smiles at me with a nod. "I'm Clint," He says.
The girl next to him nods towards me. "Natasha." I nod and look at the other guy who was in the room when I first woke up. "I'm Bruce," He awkwardly says, and I feel as if there is something else to him. I'll ask Loki later. They all seem to have something, to be honest. I'm not scared though, only curious. They all present themselves as I try to remember their names. "Well, it's nice to meet all of you. Though, I guess that I technically already have. What kind of relationship did I have with all of you exactly?" I ask.
They all look at each other except for Tony who rolls his eyes at the others. "We're all your friends and partners, though Loki is your-" He starts, but gets cut off by Natasha. "Loki is your best friend." I look at her and Tony in slight confusion as they glare at each other, seeming to talk with their eyes. "Oh, alright," I say, looking at Loki who seems uncomfortable as he looks away from me. I frown but quickly go back to the subject. "So, who am I exactly?"
They all look at Loki this time. "Did you seriously not tell her anything?" Asks Clint with a facepalm as Loki shrugs. Wanda, Vision's girlfriend from what they said, looks at me and smiles softly. "Your name is (Y/N) (L/N). You are technically part of the Avengers, our group, but you preferred to not tell the press, so no one knows who you are except for us and Sheild." I take all of that in and nod at her in thanks.
I ask other questions and, at the end of the meeting, I know that they all have powers or abilities and the Avengers protect the world. They also told me that it is Hydra that made me forget everything and that Tony and Bruce are trying to find a way to help me, but I will probably just remember things on my own. Apparently, Bucky, Steve's best friend, experienced something like that in the past, so they'll do their best to help me.
They also told me about our time together. I am sad that I am not able to remember anything yet because I would like to know what happened, who I am, who they are. I realize that they didn't really talk about Loki. I'll ask him another time, right now, I just want to sleep. I say goodnight to Loki and give him a small hug for comfort before closing the door and throwing myself on the cloud that is my bed. I'm still curious about some things, but I'll ask tomorrow.
