Is that..Yùhé? Canada sniffed the ginger and white wolf that was curled up but soon enough groaned softly and got to her paws. "What was that for?"

Elemental had lied down, she hasn't moved since she used Thunderstorm. "Because you, an unfamiliar wolf, stumbled into my den." She replied weakly.

"I..I know this wolf." Canada informed. "How...?" The white wolf was lost for words, pawing anxiously at the ground.

"We left mere minutes after you did. We took shelter in an old fox den. When we woke we had lost your scent but it wasn't long when I heard you howl." Yùhé explained.

"Canada.." Elemental began, pointing her muzzle at a jar with yellow light rings inside. "Use the Area Life Regeneration..."

Canada was dumbfounded. "What? How?" Her blue gaze on the desert wolf, her eyes clouded with confusion at the wolf's words.

"Just eat it." The reddish gray wolf ordered sharply which seemed to do it for Canada. The white wolf turned, running to the jar, this is when she realized there was no top on the containers because the golden rings flew out, almost as if by instinct.

The next minute she had the aura in her jaws, swallowing down. At her paws there were golden rings, her rail gave an uncertain wag. Solaris was running around in circles, screaming. "The fire is following me." At one point he ran into the wall causing Canada to wince. That had to hurt.. But to her surprise, her mate just got to his paws and began running again.

"Oooh..." Yùhé mused, staring at the same golden lights around her paws. "They're so pretty..." The medicine wolf didn't seem to acknowledge the burns from the lightning that had struck her moments before.

Suddenly shrill yelps split the air outside. "Yùhé! Come quick! It's a loud growler!"

The four wolves became alert. "Solaris! Take Flame Spin, and you.." Elemental's amber gaze stopped on Yùhé. "I don't trust you quite yet but right now I guess I'm gonna have to, you can take Flame Wall." The desert wolf directed both wolves to each of the skills then lead the three other wolves outside.

Canada immediately noticed half of the wolves from what once was her pack cornered against the wall of the tree den. A loud growler inched closer on all fours but suddenly Eithna jumped forward, her fur bristled and her ears pinned against her head. "Stay back, I'm warning you! You won't hurt them, I won't let you." Her voice was shaky from panic, but her eyes were locked with the loud growler's, daring him to make another move and it wasn't long before he did. He lifted up his giant front paws, standing just on his two back paws, letting out a furious roar then sent a striking blow at the ginger wolf, sending her flying into Elemental's den, the force of the blow snapping her neck.

Everyone grew silent, their eyes wide and tears were shed but the one that held the most pain was Canada. Canada snarled. “That was my friend! ” Her blue eyes were filled with rage.

“C-can the auras sa-save her?” Somewhere behind Canada Yùhé'
mused, her voice unsteady and strained.

“She's dead..” Elemental answered bluntly.

Canada had enough. Talking was getting them no where, she noticed the loud growler was back on all fours with his gaze on her. The golden rings were still at the white wolf's feet, she took a deep breath before charging at the large brown animal, she leaped into the air, various voices yelled her name but the loud growler just swatted her away like some mosquito. Canada skidded into the dirt, her muscles sore, she laid there, giving the aura time to work its magic. A ginger and white wolf jumped in front of her and a reddish light appeared in front of them. As the loud growler bounded forward he was thrown back by the barrier. He didn't went as far back as Eithna had, landing only one foot away. The loud growler got back to his huge paws.  Solaris went forward, flames dancing around him as he spun uncontrollably off the ground, only an inch away from the large brown creature, the flame not singeing his black coat yet at the flames made contact with the loud growler a grunt of agony was heard.  The red shield that had protected Yùhé and Canada had vanished and they began to edge closer to the large animal. Solaras dropped to the ground, wearing a confident grin on his muzzle.

The other wolves began to circle around the loud growler, baring fangs and snarling, their ears pulled back in an aggressive manner. A dark thunder cloud  appeared just above the loud growler, some wolves backed up just as a bolt of lightning hit their enemy. The loud growler let out what seemed to be a yelp and cut through the spaces the wolves as provided for his retreat.

But it wasn't time for celebration, it was time to mourn the brave wolf they had lost. Canada thought. I will never forget you.
