Waking up in his arms was nothing short of a blessing. Aditi flipped and lay on her stomach, with her elbow supporting her chin. Her other hand gently ran over his hair. She smiled recollecting how she had always thought that this was an overrated, filmy act of affection. She craned her neck, kissing his forehead.

His face shifted probably due to the contact.

"Karan!"

"Hmm,"

Her smile widened. He was so cute. She kissed his cheek.

"Let me sleep!" He mumbled turning away.

Adiit giggled rolling to the others side and getting up. She picked up her phone to check the time. It was a few minutes past seven. She decided to quickly get ready. There was some Pooja that all the ladies had to attend. She glanced at her sleeping husband. Just two more days of him. Her smile faded. Why was she being sad for the future now? There was no point in that. She should make the most out of whatever time she had with him.

* * *

Karan had woken up to Aditi's message instead her kisses.

Aditi:

At Pooja on second floor hall. Get ready and reach the dining hall for breakfast, will meet you there.

Karan sighed. Last night the two of them had reached the room only at one in the dead of the night, tried and sleepy. He had thought they would have an intimate morning. He yawned stretching himself. He wanted to spend every minute with her until they went back to their new normal.

Aditi didn't have to stress her eyes much to find him in the dining hall. He was at the table with all her cousins. He bonded with them more than she had ever in her entire lifetime. She quickly grabbed a plate, helped herself with the serving and reached the table.

He looked up as she approached the table. His face lit up instantly, with the highlight being his wide smile. Aditi almost blushed as her cousins started commenting how "Jiju's" attention had been captured.

She glanced around, realizing she had been too involved in noticing her husband that she had not take a note of the fact that there was no space on the big round table. Even if she dragged an empty chair, she wouldn't have place to join the table.

"Di, sit on Jiju's lap!" One of her cousins teased eliciting a round of chuckles around the table.

She glanced at Karan with flushed cheeks. He subtly gestured her to come to him, before getting up and pushing back the chair he sat on.

"That would be cute but inconvenient." He remarked, pulling the chair for her to sit on, gesturing her to take the seat. She quietly took the seat.

"Morning!" He whispered, leaning on the chair behind her. His elbows on the chair's backrest.

"Morning!" She mumbled, glancing over her shoulder.

"Tea?" He asked seeing that she had no beverage.

"I already had a cup in the morning." She answered with a thankful smile.

"I will grab a cup of coffee." He said before walking away.

"Di, how did you manage to wake up so early? My legs are still hurting with last night's dancing." One of her cousin's, Roshni spoke.

Luckily for Aditi, another cousin of hers began teasing Roshni. Aditi focused on the food on her plate and hungrily ate her breakfast.

Soon after breakfast, everyone was heading their respective rooms to get dressed for the main function. As soon as Aditi stepped inside she was engulfed from behind in a hug.

"Good morning!"

She smiled hearing the door close and the lock click. She turned around and hugged him properly.

"Did Paa come by to give anything?" she asked.

"Yeah, he gave a box." He answered as they walked inside. "What is that?" He asked jumping on to the bed, leaning back, propelling up an elbow and resting his head against his hand.

"Mom wanted me to wear some gold necklace."

"Oh, yeah," He sat up. "You didn't ask me to get any of the gold stuff from the locker except those that were in the drawer."

She grinned, sitting on the bed, dumping her dupatta on the side. "On purpose. I don't like heavy jewelry. I told mom that you forgot to get most of the jewelry, when she asked me what I was wearing. She got annoyed and said that she'll send Paa to fetch jewelry from their locker." Aditi sighed tying up her hair.

"Wow! Backfired. You should have asked me, I would have had better dodge."

"Is the AC even on?" she asked looking around for the remote.

"Just get rid of that dress!" He suggested with a smug grin grabbing the remote.

"Karan!"

"Aditi!" He mimicked her tone looking around for the remote.

Taking a deep breath, Aditi got off the bed and removed the anarkali.

"Fuck! You actually did!" He mumbled his eyes looking at her as she got rid of her heels and then leggings.

"I think I can take a nap." She mumbled climbing onto the bed, slipping under the duvet.

"What! No!" He exclaimed.

"Yes. I woke up at seven. I barely had six hours sleep. Two hours is still pending."

Karan pulled the duvet off her. "No way. You're not sleeping, you're spending time with me."

"Come and sleep! That way both our points will be honored."

Karan quickly pulled his t-shirt over his head and slipped inside the duvet closer to her. Soon he was over her. "Let's see how you sleep!"

"you're such an annoying person!" She huffed, trying to sleep by closing her eyes.

"Okay, if I let you sleep for some time can we please shower together?"

"No. I already washed my hair. Not going to wet it again." She murmured against his cheek.

"Fine then, you're not sleeping." He muttered, seizing her lips for a kiss, his naughty hands trying to tug at her undies.

* * *

Karan hadn't let her get any sleep, but she wasn't complaining. They had a sensual session of very laid back love making, with slow touches and a lot of kisses and nibbles.

Karan stepped out after another quick shower. He grabbed the towel from bed to wipe his hair.

"My towel!" Aditi mumbled, looking at him.

"The housekeeping will replace them. We'll put up the tag when we leave."

Convinced Aditi turned around, "Can you help me hook this!"

Karan's lips settled into a smooth curve, "sure, why not!" He mumbled dumping the towel back on the bed and swiftly making his way to his wife.

"No hanky-panky!" She warned, looking at him pointedly through the mirror.

He grinned like a mischievous kid. "You remember the day mom had kept Pooja at home, one month after our wedding."

Aditi laughed remembering the day. That day a similar event had occurred. She had asked for his help but for a slightly different scenario. Her hair had got stubbornly stuck on the hook and after trying for about ten minutes she couldn't untangle it. She had to finally step out of the washroom and ask for his help. That day it was a saree blouse that had hooks in the front. That day was one of the most embarrassing day that had become a weirdly amusing memory.

"You literally thought I was trying to seduce you." She chuckled.

He laughed, carefully pushing her hair aside before trying to hook.

"Er, Aditi, has your size increased? This isn't closing."

"Can you try harder!" She mumbled. Hopefully she hadn't grown chubby.

He earnestly tried and it was almost about to get hooked when his finger gave up. He silently tried to hook it. Women went crazy with comments on their weight. But he genuinely had begun to feel that Aditi had gained a few inches since when the blouse had been made. "I think, I am only good at unhooking them!" He mumbled.

Aditi grew wary. Had she put on? Damn. This was so embarrassing. She bit her lower lip and tried her best to exhale so that he could fasten the hook.

"not happening!" He declared.

"Shit!" She muttered, leaning forward to get a safety pin. "Can you try making a loop using this." She asked giving him the small safety pin.

Karan looked at it and then the hook loop on her blouse. He was clueless. "I think you should call your mom!"

"Uh! Okay!" She muttered frustrated giving one attempt with her own fingers.

"Okay wait, guide me. I will try." He said seeing her fret.

It took more than ten minutes but the blouse problem had been solved with a small safety pin and Karan had been rewarded with a kiss on his cheek.

The wedding ceremony was a fun affair. Every now and then Karan would come around to help her. A lot of pictures were clicked. A lot of memories were made.

"Is it just me, or are you also thinking about her marriage?" Karan had asked softly, as he stood close behind her.

She leaned back, as they showered petals over the bride and the bridegroom who were taking the pheras — rounds around the holy fire making their vows. "Makes the two of us!" She uttered softly.

His left arm stealthily crawled under her dupatta, hugging her. People were to focused on the couple of the day to notice them. Aditi smiled, maybe her life was a fairytale after all.

Dedicated to all those ladies who've faced issues fitting into old clothes! Don't fret, it's natural! ;)
