The doctor's words kept ringing in their ears. The mother in Renuka shattered at the news.

They walked out of the doctor's cabin to find vidushi and Aryan waiting for them.

"First stage could be treated Mr.Shekawath but second stage depression, it is only cured in about three out of ten cases, which is very rare. "

"Vus dinn mey ghar gaya tha. Sanyu ko Sach bataane. Par vo ja chuki thi mujhe chodkar. Meyne vusse ko diya tha tab tak. Sab meri galti hey. Meyne maara apni beti ko."

"He needs to be treated with love and kept away from stress. And for that he needs to be happy.That's the only way to cure him and bring him back to his normal self."

"You are not my son. No son of mine would ever treat a girl like that. The Randhir I knew loved his wife way to much to hurt her. Even a scratch on her skin got him worried. The one standing before me is a Coward!  A coward who enjoyed inflecting pain on his wife who was injured and barely alive "

" He is in a constant fear, something is eating him up from inside and if this continues he can loose his mental balance "

"Vo meri vaja se vus din phirse girne waali thi mom. Pehli baar bhi marey vajase giri thi. Meyne apni beti ko maar diya mom.Agar meyne vuse vus dinn medicine laane ke liye nahi kaha hoota tho vo, vaha se nahi girti."

The words blurred her vision, his cries evoked in her ears and Renuka sunk of the floor with everybody screaming her name.

"Maa kya hua. ."

"Renu utho."

"Doctor its an emergency"

2 hours later 🕥

The doctor came out where the whole Shekawath family was waiting for some news.

"Doctor!  My wife, what happened to her? Is she fine now. She was all fit and fine at a moment and the very next moment she started withering in pain. Doctor please day something." Harsh Shekawath asked worried.

"She had a mild heart attack.  It was her first attack and was not very strong, so she survived Mr. Shekawath. Please see to it that she doesn't take much stress and have proper rest." The doctor said before dissapearing in the darkness.

"Mom. Heart attack!" Aryan  exclaimed, in his breaking voice.

Harsh knew what could have caused this while the other two oblivious of the real reason started bombarding him with questions.

"Dad, aap kuch bol kyun nahi rahey hey. Kab se puch raha hun. Please don't be silentl like this." Aryan pleaded his father with tears in his eyes.

"Baade papa, what did the doctor say when he called you both to the cabin." Vidushi asked. Something clicked her mind.

"Maasi Maa jab andar gayi thi, toh bilkul theek thi. Phir jab vo bahar aayi, vo ro rahi thi. Aisa kya kaha doctor ne Baade papa."

"Randhir. .Randhir is not fine." Harsh Shekawath uttered before breaking down on the floor crying for his children and wife.

"Bhai ko kya hua hey." Aryan asked with fear in his voice after seeing his parents reaction.

"Depression.. Second Stage. Vo ..Vo humesha depression mey tha.Aur humey patta bhi nahi chala. Doctor ne bola ki" Harsh stopped his words as he took in the figure in front of him.

"Ki kya dad!" Aryan who failed to notice the figure shook his father.

Harsh did not reply.He stood still as rock. Vidushi followed where harsh was looking and her sockets bulged out taking in the person in front of her.

"Dad. Aap chup kyun hogaye." Aryan asked while his eyes finally followed his father's. And there stood she. Sanyukta.

"Sanyu tu bahar kaise aa gayi. You are not allowed to walk like that Sanyu.  You need proper rest. Tujhe bahar aane kisne diya.

Flashback

Sanyukta woke up to the smell of medicines. She held her belly protectively as everything rushed back to her.

"Ma'am, you are awake. Let me inform your family." The nurse in charge of her said enthusiastically.

Sanyukta looked over her surroundings as the nurse made her exit to inform the Shekawath family.

Her eyes fell on the two nurses and a ward boy gossiping about some poor guy. The ward boy took out his phone showing something to the ladies. Sanyukta shoke her head and waited for her family. Everyone but Randhir. She knew he didn't give a Damn. He was going to ignore her like the last time. The thought pained her and few tear drops made it's way out. Her trance was broken when she heard a sound.."Meyne maara meri beti ko."

She froze. She could recognise that voice anywhere. It was his voice. Sanyukta realised that the voice had been coming from the phone which was held by the ward boy.He was leaving the room when sanyukta's voice stopped him.

"Sunno warboy bhaiya, aap jo vunloogo ko dikha rahey thee, kya aap mujhe bhi dikha saktey hey..?"

"Haan madam ji." He passed her the phone and played the video. Soon enough the video ended and Sanyukta sat shocked.

"Bichara, baad mey behosh hogaya. Sunna hey jab vo hoosh mey aaya tho aapey ke bahar hogaya tha. Ajeeb ajeeb si harkate kar raha tha tho vunhone vusse neend ka injection laga diya." The ward boy said taking his phone book from her.

The nurse who went to call her family came back alone which surprised sanyukta a little.

"Nurse, meri family?"

"Vo sorry ma'am. Apke mother in law ko attack aaya hey. She is getting treated. Toh mey vunhe batta nahi payi. "

"Mom!" Sanyukta felt her heart break further. She got rid out of all the wires attached to the body and made her way to her family. The nurse and the ward boy tried to stop her but she was too stubborn to listen.

She saw them and rushed towards her family. But stopped to listen to them argue.

"Bhai ko kya hua hey." She heard Aryan ask.

"Depression.. Second Stage. Vo ..Vo humesha depression mey tha.Aur humey patta bhi nahi chala. Doctor ne bola ki" Harsh saw sanyukta and stopped the words in his mouth.

Her heart skipped a beat and her world crashed. Her Rannu had depression! No this wasn't happening. She shivered as tears made their way.

"Doctor ne kya kaha dad? Complete your sentence." Sanyukta said, her voice devoid of any emotions.

"Sanyu beta. Hum baad mey baat karenge es baare mey. You and the children need to rest." Harsh said ignoring her question.

"Please dad.." Her voice shook with hiccups.

"Doctor ne kaha ki he can also loose his mental ability." Harsh said giving up. His voice cracked as he completed the sentence.

While Vidushi, Aryan and Sanyukta stood shocked at his words.

Two with guilt for not being there for their brother & One with guilt of misundersting his love.
