i was hesitant.

you asked me to come all the way to busan with you and i really didn't want to.

this city was filled with too many memories for anyone to move on.

from the day we met to the day i ran away.

more than a decade of my past filled this town, and only twenty one months of ours seemed to ruin it.

yet, here we were.

the night sky shining up above us on this damned rooftop.

"we first met here."

"we met in calculus class."

he sighed but nodded in agreement.

despite my mind and body telling me not to, i sat down on the edge with you.

"you have no idea how many times i thought about jumping off of this roof."

"i have my own count to keep track of."

yoongi looked down at the school yard below us.

one motion and everything would be over.

i came up a lot wanting to do it.

i used to hate myself for being too weak to just stand on the edge and fall.

now, i'm glad.

my eyes met yoongi's as he looked up at me.

"i really do love you, i'm sorry we ended up like this. it's not exactly the happy ending we used to dream of." his voice was so soft, it was almost hard to understand him

"do happy ending really exist? i've always wondered."

yoongi looked back up at the sky.

"i'd like to think so."

it was cold and my body was practically shaking, i just wanted to be in my bed.

the view made it worth it though.

i was always a sucker for beauty.

maybe that's why i gave you so many chances.

you might have been a broken shell of a human, but your heart was made of gold.

"the moon and stars are out tonight."

"but the moon still outshines them." a small smile came to my lips.

it started on this roof, so maybe it's also where it should end.

"perhaps one day if the mood was right and we were both confident in it, we could get that happy ending." his words were bittersweet.

"let's not worry about the future, lets just live while we can, yoongi."

we knew from the beginning

that this wasn't never ending

shouldn't stay too long cause

we're both too young to give into forever
