The silence was killing her. It enveloped them all and gave a chill to their bones. Silence makes everything seem more intimidating. Important. Terrifying. Real.
Lewis piped up, breaking the ice. "So, I'll start. We were happily walking along when we see this dwarf - demon dude who chases us and overall tries to kill us. Then, we have the delightful opportunity to see an Attracto-man while hiding. Then, we proceed to fall into a hole which was definitely a trap. I almost kill myself twice by falling out of a tree. At last Aviana finds some type of fruit. Finally, we come back to find out that something or one knows we are here and that they supposedly are our island saviour - creature, since Toffee was having a blast," Lewis wrapped up confidently.
Rick looked bored as if he was used to Lewis's on and off intelligence. Although he did perk up whenever there was a mention of the creatures.
"Wait hold up. I got a few details from that. One- Attracto-man? Seriously? Two- you forgot us chasing Rick till he dropped dead," Aviana finished with a satisfied smirk.
Lewis pulled a face. "I'd like to see you come up with something, Vi. And yeah, I forgot." He laughed.
"Hmm...how about...a...Guy-ren?" She said hesitantly.
"Oh my God, oh my God, a Guy-ren?! Aviana why torture us?" Lewis said as he laughed hard along with Rick. Aviana burned with shame.
"Hey! He's basically a male siren so...um...a Guy-ren." She mumbled.
"Oh...oh...oh...oh my, woah!" Rick and Lewis bellowed as they continued guwaffing.
"Oh, stop it by now," Aviana said annoyed.
They paid no heed as they continued, with no coming stop.
"You know it's not even funny now?" She pleaded as her ears turned red. "You know what? Keep going on until your vocal chords rupture," she stormed off towards the sea.

She gazed into the lapping waves as they playfully nipped at her bare toes before retreating into the azure folds. Aviana let out a sigh- half contented and half distracted. It felt so wrong, being here. But it felt so right that she had to come. She was afraid. That was the truth. She was also in love. In love with the calm and peace and overall serenity of this whole new world.
She crouched now, almost like a squat, and reached out a hand hesitantly that wanted so eagerly to touch the cool and gentle water. Aviana let her fingers graze over the sea. She quickly retreated them, feeling guilty about how she can feel calm here, out of all places.
"Sorry, Rin. Not again," she muttered sadly but determinedly as Aviana trudged away.
As she walked towards the two, she realized they were talking again. This time, Aviana couldn't listen in because they abruptly halted in their conversation. She gave a displeased hum and then sat down on the sand next to them.
"So. Where are we living. I mean, the jungle isn't safe obviously and right next to the sea is also dangerous because the water can wash away everything during powerful, high tides."
Rick thought for a second. "How about just on the edge of the trees, with some kind of rock? We can use the rock for support of the structure and we can make a small stream connecting from the water."
"Yeah! We can also make like those wooden spikey-poles to protect us! Like in that Roger Caruso!" Lewis enthusiastically added.
"Um no. This isn't a book. Especially Robinson Caruso. I mean, the idea is great, really Lewis. But this is real ok?"
The two boys looked at Aviana with astonished eyes and one pair of burning cheeks.
"What? I'm being serious," she mumbled as she stood up and stretched.
"Yeah. Too serious," Lewis and Rick synchronized with humor in their eyes. They too arched their backs before letting out happy sighs.
This time Toffee comes too, she reminds herself before voicing her full thoughts. "Guys, let's go scouting, but Toffee comes."
"Fine."
"Okay."

Aviana collected some more berries and this time actually found a still wet and wriggling fish on the golden grains. She quickly tried to grab it but her grip loosened by the moist skin and the fish flipped out of her hands- headfirst onto a rock. It stopped moving. "Well at least I didn't have to kill it," she thought as she also imagined how it would taste. It had been so long since Aviana had fish, that she almost forgot the taste. All they had nowadays was berries and roots anyways. She grabbed the berries and picked up the fish by the tail.
She walked proudly to the boys. "Gentlemen, we will have a feast!"
By the time Rick and Lewis started up a feeble fire, Aviana had cleaned the fish and cut the meat into thick slabs. She was familiar with this since her father had shown her. He would be happy, she thought sadly. The fish was juicy and filling, and it tasted great- even if it was bland, boiled fish.
After eating, Aviana slipped into the tent because it was quite late. We'll go in the morning, when we have more time, she thought. Now let's just hope there will be no more dreams...
Aviana woke up, relieved that there were no nightmares- or flashbacks. She suddenly realized she was in the jungle. Staring at the dwarf - demon. "No, no," she muttered, disbelief and fear lining her voice. The creature rushed at her, raising it's spear and aiming it directly at her. She ran as fast as she could, legs racing and heart pounding. "No," she kept repeating, pathetically trying to deceive herself. But it was all too real.
Aviana tripped against a root and plummeted down, slamming her face into the unforgiving dirt. No pain came as she got up, her senses blinded by fear. All her courage was gone. Nothing was left but the fear that ate at her raw. She stumbled☆ again, but this time she couldn't get up. A hand already at her shoulder, forcing her to face it's body.
Aviana's last thought before the spear came rocketing down at her face was where are Rick and Lewis?
