As the song has it: "We do what we must, because we can." Only in this case, what we do is writing.

As part of the merry band of Weekend Write-Inners, each week we write a story - 500 words or less - on a given prompt. How we interpret that prompt is up to the individual. Sometimes we seem to have the same idea; more often we come up with completely different and wild takes on the prompt.
