Andreas: Mami. Didn't Sasha tell you to not be a pain to your sister, while she is gone?

Mami pouted and released her sister... Who now looks like a disheveled mess.

Ami sighed in relief and sent me a nod in thanks.

Meera: Where is Ms. Sasha anyway? *Yawn*

I set aside the ladle and grabbed a spare saucer, poured a bit of broth on it, and tasted it.

Andreas: Hm, that's good. She's been called by the Church for a meeting concerning her continuous work at her Orphanage.

Lest: Why though?

I shrugged and killed the flame.

Andreas: Most likely going to be them trying to convince Sasha to return working as a Hero again.

Lest frowned at the thought of Sasha becoming a Hero again.

Andreas: No worries though. Knowing Sasha, she's going to keep saying no.

Mami: Well fair enough, she is quite stubborn in most cases.

I chuckled and brought my stew on the table I fixed yesterday.

Andreas: Well she has too. You are quite a stubborn one as well.

She pouted while her sister gave the smallest of smirks, unnoticed by the rest but not me.

Meera: Say Mr... Why do all this anyway?

I chuckled at her question.

Andreas: Well, first of all. I don't have any connection to Lescatie... Except a few acquaintances and friends. Second, I don't have any grudges against the Mamono, and third of all. I just like to help.

She looked at me with her sleepy face, most likely thinking whether to believe me or not.

Meera: Ok.

Mami: I doubt that... I bet you have some creepy and disgusting plan to rape us while we're asleep.

I rolled my eyes.

Ami: Language.

Ami immediately slapped her on the hand, making her flinch and glare at her.

Andreas: Believe what you want. All I know is that I'm doing this for a friend.

Mami: Friend he says... It's either you're really dense on the subject or you chose to ignore it.

Ah... I see where this is going.

Andreas: You mean the constant staring at me by Sasha? The sudden reddening of her cheeks and ears everytime I grab hold of her hand or shoulder? Or is it the fact that Sasha has a crush on me?

Mami: So you do know! Why?!

All their attention is now on me, rather than the food in front of them.

Andreas: *sigh* it's a bit hard to explain.

Mami stood up and slammed her hands on the table.

Mami: Just say it!

I sighed... Kids will be kids no matter what universe they exist.

Andreas: Fine.

I raised my left hand much to their confusion.

Mami: I don't get it.

Andreas: Oh... Right.

I dispelled my magic and revealed a ring on my ring finger. The kids however... As soon as their eyes landed on my ring, they yelled in disbelief.

All: WHAAAT?!

Andreas: Sheesh... And you complain I'm loud.

Mami: Nevermind that! You... You're married?!

Andreas: Yep... That's why I'm purposely ignoring her advances and hints.

Mami: Where!?

She was silenced by a slap from her sister.

Ami: Sorry, but... Where is your wife? From what Sasha told us, you came to Lescatie alone.

Ah... Oh well, I suppose it won't hurt me telling them half truths.

Andreas: Ah... You see. Back before I came to Lescatie. My Wife and I, lived in a forest somewhere east. Of course, I placed wards and such to keep any monsters from knowing our location.

Lest: I find it surprising that you can use magic... And you're not blessed to be a Hero.

Ah shit... I keep forgetting only those who has some sort of spiritual connection to the Chief God are able to use magic.

I shrugged.

Andreas: I honestly don't know myself... Apparently, I am able to use magic at such a young age. Hence why my parents and I lived away from any settlements.

Ami: I see... But back on topic... What kind of a person is your Wife anyway?

I smiled solemnly. Causing them to calm down a bit.

Andreas: She... She was... She was my everything. Thanks to her, I would've been lost for a long, long time.

I looked at my ring with a smile.

Andreas: She gave me strength, power, motivation. In fact. Without her, I wouldn't be like this in the first place.

What I'm speaking now is the truth about Diana.

Andreas: Her name is Diana Mondlicht.

I continued to stare and caress my ring without noticing the concerned look on the children's faces.

Mami: Andreas? Is... Is everything alright?

It broke me from my stupor, I looked up and found them all having concerned faces.

Andreas: I'm fine.

I lied with a smile.

Meera: You're lying.

Right... I forgot that Mothmen has this ability to sense feelings. Not accurate as one might think but, if one lets out enough of a single emotion, they can instantly tell.

Andreas: Right... I forgot you Mothmen have that ability. Very well. Before I met her, I had a lot of enemies, and most of them are quite strong in their own unique way.

The room feels quite cold.

Andreas: We we're asleep one night, we were awoken by our children's cries and the smell of burning wood. I rushed immediately to the twins and woke Diana from her sleep.

I clenched my hand around a wooden spoon tightly.

Andreas: There were a lot of screaming and banging of metal tools and weapons. I hurried to take them out of our burning house only to be chased by my enemies. In fact, they were waiting for me. So in order to protect them, I used my magic to form walls of earth around us. Giving us enough time to run in separate directions to make sure they wouldn't get any attention.

The wooden spoon started to crack and splinter.

Andreas: Giving her a quick kiss and a hug of my Twins, they ran immediately after. With them far away enough, I collapsed my earthen wall and gathered all of their attention on me.

Ami: Andreas!

My eyes widened as I felt blood trickle from my wounded hand, as parts of the splintered wooden spoon are embedded on my palm.

Andreas: Sorry... I guess telling you that much still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Using my other hand, I grabbed my tweezers and removed the wooden splinters from my palm.

Andreas: I'm sure you can tell the rest of what happened next.

I grabbed some herbs from the kitchen and placed them in my palm, covering it next with bandages I keep in my bag.

Mami: Andreas... We're sorry for pushing you.

I raised my brow at theri sudden apology.

Andreas: It's fine, it's not your fault that all of you were curious of me.

Ami: Still, we are sorry.

Lest: Hey... Maybe she's still out there waiting for you.

I smiled and patted her head.

Andreas: Thanks, I know that she is still out there. She's too stubborn to give up anyway.

They all smiled softly as I have a chuckle.

Andreas: Now then, let me warm up the food again.

Using magic, I heated their bowls slowly to warm up the stew.

Meera: Amazing! Maybe when I get older you could teach me magic!

I smiled.

Andreas: Sure. Just don't use it to snag some man out in the middle of the night ok?

Meera: Hey! I have standards!

I laughed, causing them all to laugh soon after.

Andreas: Yeah... I'm sure she's stabbing someone through the head right now.

I mumbled. Knowing full well how much of a fighter she is.

3rs Pov

However... Our protagonist failed to notice the slight glow his ring is giving off.

Well then, another chapter done and hopefully it staisfy you lot! Now then... Back to writing and rewriting the next chapter for Commander Emiya. SOUL out!
