Normal POV

I don't know how long I have been here, but it feels like it's been a year. "Someone's coming," Twitch jumped to his feet, his tail twitching dangerously. I soon heard the footsteps of ten people. With each step came the sound of chains. They stopped in front of our cell, "You. Come with me." The man pointed at me, his voice deep. He unlocked the door as I slowly stepped forward. I looked at my three friends and nodded. I exited the cell accepting my fate. After I was chained they pulled a girl from a cell on the other side of the hall. She had fiery wings and black claws, she demands to be called Fire, they tried calling her Sparky. They marched us down a corridor and put us in separate rooms.

The room was small and cold, on the opposite side of the door they brought me through was another door. I stood there not knowing what I was about to face. Then I heard a muffled applause, followed by the door I came through opening, three people in padded clothing came in, each with an iron shield. The other door opened and the people ushered me through, as soon as I was out of the room the door closed. I was in an arena, the dirt floor was dry, dust flew as I stepped. On the opposite side of the arena was Fire, she was glaring at me, a look of knowing and regret in her eyes.

She charged at me and the people in the stands cheered. After what felt like hours of a constant battle to survive she collapsed to the ground. I knew what they wanted from us, but there was no way I was going to take the life of another prisoner. I walked towards her, my vision blurry from loss of blood. A group of men came out and collected her limp form. The crowds erupting in cheers as they did so. I looked around, knowing this wouldn't be my last fight. The idea that we were here just so they could fight us was sickening. I looked back to see the group of men coming towards me, but before I could do anything I collapsed.
