Brenden,

Did you actually just end a letter with "love" when you were in a relationship just a few hours earlier? What kind of person are you? Did you not care for Lexie? I can't see why you would, she seems like a terrible human being, but at the same time, you two were together and I feel like you should probably have remembered that before throwing the "L" word back at me a few hours later. Or was it just a few minutes?

I'm not going to be your rebound, Brenden. I'm not going to be the one who sits here and cries herself to sleep every night and then is there waiting for you when you finish with your next girlfriend. I'm not going to be your backup. I'm either your first choice, or I'm nothing to you. Not a friend, not a girlfriend, not a buddy that you chill with on occasion. I'm your first choice or I'm nothing.

David also broke up with me today. I think that he also thought something was going on between us, for more reasons than just our letters. I think that he was jealous and insecure and honestly I'm not sure why I dated him in the first place. He was kind of just there at the right time for me to be into it and ready to move on from you. But that lasted barely a month before he got jealous. And I guess that's how I should have expected it to end up, huh? Because of all the letters you sent me, and then the second I send one back it blows up in my face. Just my luck.

So I'm writing you another real letter this time, since I'll be seeing you next week. I hope that you can make your case to me as to why in the world I should consider coming back to you. I'm not a rebound, not a second choice, and I will not always be there to soothe your sorry ego. If you really think that this is a "sign" and that we're meant to be together, prove it to me.

A/N: Happy Wednesday update! I love seeing all of your guys' comments on the chapters, because your view of some characters is so different from mine and it helps me shape the story! So thank you for your comments and thoughts all the time, I love them!

BUT GUYS on Monday night I went to a Lindsey Stirling concert in Washington DC and HOLY CRAP she is amazing, if you don't know who she is because you're not a total nerd like me, she's a "dancing violinist" which pretty much means she plays the violin while dancing and with rock and roll music and running around a stage and being amazing, and you guys should DEFINITELY look her up because seeing her live was just incredible and I would highly suggest looking up her YouTube videos! Plus, she's Mormon like me which is pretty cool too.

Part 2 is coming up! Let me know what you want to see happen so that I can try and incorporate it into the story!
