Unknown POV

"I don't feel like coming back home" I said to my mom over the phone,

"But its your brother's..." she started but I cut her off

"Its his not mine, he can do whatever he wants " I added as she went silent, after a few seconds she spoke back up

"You need to be there for him, its an important day for him, you just have to"

I've never for once in my life liked seeing my mom in such states, she was pleading and almost begging me to show up, her words always touched me and had their effects.

"Fine...I'll show up but I'll leave right after" I said

"That's very okay," she said and I could hear her smile through the phone, " I'll see you in two weeks" she added as she hung up.

I threw my phone on the sofa, my brother can be very annoying, like he was the perfect child everyone loved, never getting into trouble, doing exceedingly well at school and always being the perfect one, therefore making me the unnoticed one.

I began to develop a headache just by thinking about him- yeah, that's how much I can't stand him even in my thoughts.

I decided to let my mind drift off to better things and by better things I meant the girl I saw at the café today.

Flashback

I walked into the café that had become my second home, I had bonded with both Olivia and Catherine over the few weeks I've been here and they've acquired a spot in my heart.

I took my regular seat at the back and admired how the place looked, I liked how clean it was, it made me remember how Mom would make sure every corner of the house was spick and span.

Catherine approached me with a broad smile plastered on her lips, as she walked her locks bounced and dropped on her shoulder gracefully,

"Hey" she said as she propped one hand on her waist

"Hi...did you sleep well?"

"I guess... Anyway, what can I get you? The usual?" she asked tapping her pen on her notepad

"Yap,I'd take the usual but I'd like my tea a little creamier" I replied as she scribbled it down and flashed a smile my way and went to the kitchen.

'If only I didn't see her as a sister, '  I thought to myself as I scrolled through my notifications, I saw a lot of comments from my fawning girls, yeah I had lovers, quite a number.

Soon Catherine arrived with my order, I loved tea time, though wasn't my fault, back home we observed it every day so its part of me, I can't go a day without tea.

As I ate my food, I saw a girl walk in, I had never seen her here before, maybe she was a friend of Catherine.

I studied her as she took a seat and took in her environment, this had to be her first time here.

Cath came and took her order, the girl seemed to be praying over her phone due to how she was looking at it, I haven't gotten a perfect glance at her face but I could tell she was pretty.

In some minutes she came back with the order,
" your expresso and cappuccino to go" she said as she dropped it on the table,

"Thanks" she mouthed to Cath

"Uhm, sorry to bother you but are you Ivy?"she asked,

" ya, why do you ask?", so Ivy is her name, interesting

"Oh, your aunt told us you'd be dropping by" Catherine as she took a seat beside her and gave her the family customary

"I'm Catherine, but you can call me Cath" she said as she released poor Ivy from her tight bear hug.

"Catherine...chatting with customers again" asked Olivia.

"Not really mom,she's family" Catherine added  as I saw Olivia approach Ivy

"Ivy..." She said as she hugged her, well I was eavesdropping but I couldn't help it, I felt drawn to this girl, I wanted to know more about her " your aunt told me you'd be coming to visit "

"Your aunt has told me all about you" she added as they broke apart the hug.

"Of course she has" she mumbled out to their hearing and they both laughed, I almost laughed but decided against it, since I was undercover

"Anyway, Cath and I have some work doing...so we'll be going...also here's the WiFi password" she said as she handed her a piece of paper, now I know why she was staring at her phone that way

"Thanks ..." she mouthed

"No need for that, we're family after all" Olivia said as she dragged Cath to the kitchen.

I took my phone in my hands and texted Cath.

Cath, get the pretty girl in the café some chips , add it to my bill

Soon my phone beeped,

Sure,;)

After making sure I saw Cath come out with the chips, I stood up and went outside to my car, I wanted to take some fresh air, sometimes the café got really stuffy.

After five minutes I was going back when I opened the door and almost bumped into Ivy, "I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to startle you" I said as  I quickly reached for my handkerchief, cos apparently I had startled her and made her spill her coffee on her clothes.

I could almost see steam coming out from her ears, but that was almost the least of my concerns, there before me stood a wonderful piece of nature.

She had black wavy hair, the most beautiful set of hazel eyes I had ever seen, she had pink lips and a pointed nose, her figure left me in awe.

I hadn't even noticed that she had started walking away, I hopped into my car and started following her, she seemed really angry.

"I'm really sorry, I'll get your jeans all cleaned up,just stop embarrassing yourself and get into my car, alright?" I pleaded, I couldn't believe I was apologizing too much.

She didn't budge, she kept going.

"You won't get a cab around here, if that's where you're heading" I said in a husky tone, I noticed she was heading to dead end.

For the first time she looked me directly in the eye,her face wore an emotionless expression, I didn't know what she was thinking when she saw me, was she shocked or scared or ... Before I could complete my thoughts I saw her on the floor on her bum.

I quickly rushed to her but she didn't take my hand like other girls would kill to, she looked as if she was having an internal conflict within her, and before I could say Mississippi she was up on her feet. She wasn't like other girls.

"I'd go home on my own" she said as she looked across the road, I was about to say something when she saw a cab passing by, she hauled it and got in.

I smirked as she left, 'you can run but you can't hide'  I thought to myself as I walked into my car and drove to the café to pay my bills.

End of flashback.

I believed within me that this was just the beginning of a beautiful ...situationship.
