Avish POV :

"Wake up! Wake up! Its a brand new day" my alarm started ringing but I am already awake, done with yoga and meditation. Yes! I wake up one hour before my alarm rings, it kind of became a ritual for me and this is one of my secret which no one knows.

After taking shower I sat for studying various cases, you may think I am doing research on various heart related problems. Yes I am doing research on panic attacks and not related to heart, Surprised? I am doing it for my mother.

My mother Tejaswini Chauhan used to be a very active person, everyone of us at home are dependent on her. In short she is the power house of our family, she is the best daughter in-law for my grand parents and my dad, he has gone nuts in her love. In his words my mother swept him off his feet, he is always proud of her as everyone knows her as Tejaswini and not as Mrs. Vikranth Chauhan.

She is my idol, my strength and everything but before few years our world changed, I remember the day when she got the first panic attack. It was worse and we almost lost her but she is a fighter. She kept on worrying about something which she denied to share with us. Only Tara Mom knows about it and she too never spills it out.

"Avi! Your breakfast is ready" Tara mom said coming in and I just nodded, "What happened Avish? You look worried?" she asked me with concern. "You are not giving your attention to me, Only Rohan is your son. Go and feed him" I complained not wanting to make her worried. "You are my first baby, how can I ignore you?" she dragged me along with her and fed with her hands.

"Mom!" Rohan shouted seeing her doing this and I stuck my tongue out to tease him but he just smirked at me. "Won't you throw any tantrums?" I asked him surprised, "You do not get this chance daily, so enjoy" he said with a smile. "My Rohan is no more a kid" Leena Grandma said proudly making me chuckle.

I reached hospital and there were less patients which made me happy because it meant more people are healthy. I did regular check up of other patients and the passed on in the same way. My phone started ringing when shift time got over, "Hey Avi! Do you know whom I met today?" Vahin shouted on phone. "I would love to hear it from you" I said smiling already guessing the reason of his happiness.

"It is Kashisha! My cutie pie" he said in excited tone, "If you are free let us meet now, she is leaving again in few hours" he added. "My shift is over, so I think no problem" I said moving out of my cabin. "Great! See you in fifteen minutes" he cut the call saying that.

"Joy I am leaving now if there is any emergency call me" I said going into his room but I saw him hugging his girlfriend. "Sorry! I should have knocked" I said feeling awkward. "It is nothing Avish! Just now she performed a surgery and the patient is safe, so you know" he trailed off. I just left from there giving them privacy, Joy and his girlfriend are an ideal couple.

Being from same profession they understand each other very, thinking about them I reached our regular meeting spot. I could not find Vahin so my thoughts drifted towards my soulmate, Will she be from same profession as mine? If she is from different then will she understand me? How will she look like? Will she accept my brothers like her own?

"Avish" I heard a shout which brought my senses back, there I saw the origin of the voice which came from a bubbly girl with silky black hair and black full frame glasses . Her hand is snaked around Vahin bro's arm and her smile is just contagious. "Hey choco pie!" I said ruffling her hair. "Cutie pie and choco pie! What is with you both?" she pouted.

"Do you have any problem if we call you like that?" Vahin asked her giving a pointed look and she shook her head in negative making us laugh at her antics. "You are such a sweetheart" I said pulling her cheeks, "Ouch! It hurts" she said rubbing her cheeks making us sigh.

"Such a drama queen" Vahin commented, "She decided to leave before meeting us, I saw her in the meeting so dragged her here to meet you" he added. "When she does not want to meet us why to force her?" I said glaring at her and Vahin agreed. "I am really sorry" she said holding her ears and making a puppy face, she surely knows we will melt for it.

"This is the last time" I warned her and gave a smile, She started sharing with us all her experiences abroad and complained about her scientist brother who is not even visiting her. "Your brother is worse than I thought, How can he leave such a sweet sister like you?" Vahin Bro said in little anger. "He does not know my value like you, Why is our order taking this much time" she asked impatiently.

"You should make me your brother and ditch your real brother" Vahin said irritated making Kashisha cough. "How can she make her first crush! No her only crush as her brother" I said suppressing my smile. Vahin did not hear me properly and went to collect our order, "You are not supposed to say it out, It is our secret" Kashisha said in a warning tone making me laugh.

"Avish Chauhan! You are dead now" she started hitting me but I laughed more pissing her off. "Now keep quiet and behave as nothing happened" she said seeing Vahin coming towards us.

"Did I miss something?" Vahin bro asked looking at me, "We were just talking" Kashisha said with a fake smile and warned me with her eyes. Teasing Kashisha is my best hobby from the day I met her, she shared all her secrets with me even though she is closer to Vahin. It feels good that someone trusts and values you so much that they confide in you.

"I should leave now before my mother kills me" Kashisha said gobbling her food, "Why are you in hurry?" I asked. "We have a family reunion at our village" she said "and I kidnapped her" Vahin added making three of us laugh at the choice of his words. "Only you can do that" I said patting his back, "It is not easy to fool Mr. Malhotra" I added.

"Thanks for complimenting my dad and Now you better drop me" she said first line to me and ordered the second part to Vahin. "Meet you soon" I hugged both of them and came to parking place.

"Avish! Come home soon" I saw the message and called back to my grandma. "Your mom got panic attack when she went out "granny said which made me loose my cool, "Relax Avi! She is at home, come soon" she said sensing my state.

I called the neurologist who is treating my mother and picked him on the way, When I reached home I saw all of them were in main hall. I took the doctor with me to mom's room where she is smiling and talking to Tara mom which made me shocked.

"Hello doctor! I am perfectly fine but a bit uneasy" mom greeted her doctor. I sat beside her while she is being checked, all the time there was a smile on her lips which made more worried.

Since few years she did not smile this much, for a moment I felt my mother is back to her old form. "Tara! I think bookworm did not eat from morning, can you just check on her?" my mom asked and Tara mom went out smiling. Bookworm! eating! What the hell? is my mother sane? I wondered and followed Tara mom.

"Avish! I am so happy today, your mom did not take any medication when she had attack and all thanks to that girl" Tara mom pointed towards a girl who is talking and laughing along with my family members. "She is the one who brought Tejaswini home" my granny said coming there and before I could question anything doctor came out after checking my mother.

"Dr. Avish! I do not know what medicine you chose for your mother she is doing very well and you should continue that" neurologist said happily. "It is all because of that girl" Tara mom said again, "Then Mrs. Tejaswini Chauhan should spend more time with her" suggesting it he left. I wanted to thank that girl a.k.a Ms. Bookworm but I went to my dad and assured his sweetheart will be fine soon.

Later I tried to find that girl but could not, "Where is Ms. Bookworm? I thought of thanking her" I asked Tara. "She left" she said, "Alone! At this time?" I shouted. "No! Rohan went to drop her and seems like they already became friends" granny said and I smiled. May be I will thank her next time.
