Kai's P.o.v:

"Kai..(E/n) I-I..."-he took a deep breath-

The anticipation was killing me. Was (y/n) alright? Would I ever be able to see her smiling face again? Would I have to live with the fact that it was my fault I could not save her?

So many thoughts raced through out my mind. I could not take it. (Y/n) has to be okay. I can't live without her.

She is my best friend and I let her get stabbed.

Please be okay my princess.

"(Y/n) is alright for now...they are watching her.. Some think she might not survive the night but we will see. We will have to wait it out. I hope she is alright." Cole said letting tears stream freely.

Hold in there (y/n).

For me.

For your brother.

For your family.

For everyone who cares about you.

And for yourself.

"It's my fault.. I-I should've done something." I said feeling horrible.

I watched as (E/n) just huffed.

"Kai I gotta leave." (E/n) said sweetly.

"Bye cutie." I said pulling her into a short sweet kiss.

I watched as she swayed her hip side to side and left the hospital.

After she left I turned my attention to Cole.

"Can I go see her?" I asked trying not to cry.

"Of course. She is unresponsive though so ya. Also her room number is L-13" Cole sniffed.

This is a huge hospital that floors range from A-Z.

Z being the bottom floor and
A being the top.

I walked up to her room. Opening the door silently.

I saw a peaceful sleeping (y/n) on the hospital bed.

She had bandages wrapped around her stomach.

"(Y/n)..." I started, grabbing her soft fragile hand.

" I am so sorry I let this happen to you. It should have been me it is my fault. Please stay alive. I need to see your smiling face again. I need to see your bright (e/c) eyes once again. I need to see you fight. I need all these things because...you keep me happy. Your the best, best friend I could ever ask for. Please stay alive." I finished, kissing her cheek.

I watched her now pale face. Her hair lay around her. Even though she is asleep, she is absolutely stunning.

I sighed.

Why does these things always have to happen to (y/n). It should be me in that hospital bed. I should be the one hurt not her.

I can not look at her any longer.

"(Y/n). I am sorry I wasn't there. I am sorry I could not make it to you in time. I miss you..princess"

I can't bare the pain. Why am I such am idiot.

I can't stay in here.

"Goodbye. Stay alive for me please (y/n)."

-THE NEXT DAY-

3rd person P.o.v:

After Kai left the hospital yesterday he could not stop thinking about (y/n). He hoped the she would make it.

He could not focus on anything. He tried to train, but every move he did reminded him of her. He tried to go on a walk, but everything he would look at would blast him into memories they shared together.

He tried to hang out with his girlfriend, but she would remind him of (y/n).

Kai tried.

And tried.

And tried.

Nothing would help.

He finally decided to check on her, because he hasn't seen Cole all day.

On the way he stopped at the store at bought her a bouquet of (f/c) (f/f).

Kai slowly made his way up to (Y/n)'s room.

He knocked quietly.

"Hold on (N/N). I will get it." Cole sang sweetly, causing (y/n) to snicker.

"Hey. Can I come in?" Kai asked.

"Ya. I will just leave you two alone" Cole said, leaving.

Kai walked in to see a smiling (y/n) holding out her arms for him to hug.

He rushed over to her swinging his strong arms around her tightly.

"Dude I am so glad you are okay. Don't ever do that again!" Kai said looking straight into her dazzling (e/c) eyes.

"Kai. I did what I had to. I need to keep you safe. I can't lose you. I would do it all over again if it meant saving you from harm." (Y/n) said kissing Kai on the nose.

"Do you think I could live without you? No. I couldn't. Just be more careful and less reckless please." Kai said meaningfully.

"Fine." (y/n) smirked, causing Kai to smile.

" I am just glad you're alive." Kai said wrapping his strong muscular arms around her once again.

"Me too. Also one question what do you have in your hand?" She giggled.

"Oh right. I bought these for you." Kai chuckled handing her the (f/c) (f/f)s.

"Aw Thank you! You do love me. You also got my favorite kind." (Y/n) smiled bright trying to hide her blush.

"Y-your welcome." Kai stuttered.

His face turned bright red. He had never given flowers to a girl before. (E/n) doesn't like flowers. She think its to cliché.

Kai had a warm feeling. His heart was racing. His stomach bursting with butterflies. His face a permanent tomato red.

He could not quite comprehend what he was feeling.

"Aw is someone blushing?" (y/n) teased, punching Kai's cheek.

"What No! Me? Blush? Is that even possible?" Kai rushed, looking away from her eyes.

"It is alright Kai. Everyone blushes at some point. Don't try to hide it." (Y/n) smiled, taking Kai's hand into hers.

Her face turning a tinting pink.

Kai turned around trying to fight the urge to kiss her. Holding her small hand into his.

He but his lip.

"How long do you think you will have to be in the hospital for (y/n)?" Kai asked, still holding fast to her hand.

"Um they said for a couple weeks or so.." she explained.

-A FEW WEEKS LATER-

(Y/n) was still in the hospital. Every night was a restless night.

She had nightmare after nightmare after nightmare .

The same thing happened in each dream though.

The dream was always about Kai getting stabbed instead of her.
Each dream had the same happenings but were shown in different ways.

(Y/n) could not close her eyes without seeing the image of Kai's hurt body. The image of him dying.

It was painted onto her eyes. She could not get a decent amount of sleep ever.

Kai on the other hand would also have nightmares.

Some more gruesome than the others.

All his dreams were always, a replay on how (y/n) almost got killed.

Kai had not properly slept for days, well until (e/n) made it her mission to help him get over his obsession with (y/n) getting hurt.

But today was different for both (y/n) and Kai.

It was (y/n)'s last day in the wretched hospital.

She was ready to go home and sleep in her own bedroom. She was ready to wear her own clothes. Ready to eat real food. She was ready to be treated like a regular human being living a normal life in Ninjago. She wasn't a new born baby, and she sure was done with being treated as if she were one.

But.

She was excited to hang out with Kai on her last day. He promised her that he would spend the day and night with her on the last day she was being cared for by doctors and nurses. He wanted to be with her every step of the way.

*Knock*

"Come in." (y/n) spoke soothingly.

"Hey Princess. Ready to spend the day together?" Kai asked kissing her forehead.

"Heck ya I am." (y/n) smiled.

-LATER THAT NIGHT-

"No! NO! Nooooo! NOOO!!" (y/n) screamed jolting up from her warm covers.

Kai jumped up rushing to her side with sleepy eyes.

"What happened?" Kai asked worriedly.

"I just had a nightmare. I'm okay."
She sighed catching her breath.

"It's okay I get them too." Kai said, turning to go to the couch he was sleep on for that night.

"Kai wait!"

He turned around coming to an abrupt stop.

"Will you stay with me?" (y/n) asked.

"Ya..." Kai started climbing into her bed wrapping his arms around her.

(Y/n) wrapped her shaking arms around Kai's strong torso. Nestling her soft hair into his chest, falling into a deep sleep.

Kai's face turned bright red when he realized their position.

"Always." He whispered
