(Y/n) watched as a female figure about her height stepped out of the kitchen. Her heart seemed to stop beating when the bright figure stepped into the light. Kai's beloved girlfriend was someone close to her heart.

"(Y/n) meet..." Kai started.

"(Y/n)-" "(B/g/f/n)-" Both girls said out loud.

(Y/n) was sadder than ever, when she found out (b/g/f/n) was Kai's girlfriend. Her own best gal friend dating, her best guy friend. How was it possible, (y/n) kept telling herself.
Her heart cracking every breath she took. Her high hope was now nothing more than dust.

"You know each other?" Kai asked.

"Ya (Y/n) is my best friend!" (B/g/f/n) replied with a happy tone of voice.

Kai was more confused than ever. He could not comprehend that he is dating (y/n)'s best friend without knowing it. Kai didn't understand how (y/n) never figured out or knew about it.
How is this possible? Kai thought.

"Wow. So (Y/n), are you alright with me and (b/g/f/n) being boyfriend, girlfriend?" Kai asked, holding (b/g/f/n) hand and kissing her forehead.

"Ya I am totally happy for you two! I ship it! " (Y/n) said with a quivering tone.

(Y/n)'s heart shattered into a billion pieces, as she said that to him. She wanted to tell him how she felt about him, but she was afraid she was going to lose both her friends. She wanted to curl up in a ball and die. Why me? (Y/n) thought, over and over. Every affection of love Kai and (b/g/f/n) showed, She was brought closer to tears.

"Dude (Y/n). Thank you for being okay with it!" Kai said, punching her shoulder lightly.

"Y-yeah n-no problem." -(y/n) stumbled, taking in a big in take of air.-"How did you two meet anyway?" She finished strongly.

"It's a funny story actually" Kai and (b/g/f/n) said at the same time. Chuckling at each other. (B/g/f/n) earning a quick nip at the nose.

As for (y/n). She wasn't laughing. She was dying on the inside. Falling apart at the seams. Faking smiles, laughs, and anything to do with happiness. She was done. Done with the lovely couple, and their mushy moments. Done being second choice. Done with not being good enough.

Kai on the other hand was the total opposite. He was bursting with joy. Radiating a smile that could make anyone happy. He had the girl of his dreams as his girlfriend. His best friend approved of her. She was happy for him, so he thought. He was glad he had the certain (b/g/f/n) , with (h/l) (h/c) locks, and (e/c =eye color) eyes. Kai was even more happy when a certain (y/n) (l/n) was proud of him.

"It all started when I was on a mission. There was sighting of Nindroids (just go with it) terrorizing the people. The team and I were called to it.

We all split up and fought in different parts. I was on the north side of town. Where I found a beautiful young lady, struggling against a Nindroid who had a sword to her frail neck.

I swung into action and saved my one and only (b/g/f/n). We talked and started to hang out more frequently. Then we went on a few dates, and I knew she was it. She had to be my girlfriend. I would make sure she was mine. I would and will do anything for my little lady." Kai finished, intending to kiss (b/g/f/n) on the cheek, but she turned her head and it was a straight smack on the lips.

"Aw Barf..." (Y/n) Groaned.

"Grow up." Kai teased.

"I have a question. How did you meet Kai, (Y/n)?" (B/g/f/n) asked.

"Well... my step brother,Cole, you know because my dad died then my mom remarried. Well it turns out that Cole is a ninja. A Earth ninja to be precise. Kai and Cole are on the same team you see.

Cole had promised he would pick me up from my (sport) class, and we would hang out for the day. Cole brought Kai along with him.

He introduced me to him and we started to hang out a lot and ya." (Y/n) said, leaving out a few details. Details like, how she thought he was cute. How she learned to love the hot-headed fire ninja. How she wished she was in her friends place.

''Oh, well why did you not ever tell me about him?" (B/g/f/n) asked, focusing her eyes on Kai's electric green ones.

"Actually, I really don't know.'' (Y/n) lied.

She really just didn't want this romance to happen. But! It did. It must have been destiny how they still found each other. (Y/n) was astonished they found each other and were dating, and to top it off she didn't know the whole time, but one things for sure, she lost her one true love. She swore to herself. No more of a vow. She WOULD NOT love anyone ever again.

"Lets watch some movies together, ya?" Kai asked.

"Of course... I'll just be the third wheel." (y/n) said mumbling the last line.

They all sat on the couch and starting watching movies of all kinds. (Y/n) watched as Kai and his girlfriend cuddled. Looked at each other dreamily. Kai throwing in compliments to (b/g/f/n). Occasionally having a make out session. (Y/n) getting sadder by the moment. She was sitting by her lone some. On the end of the couch.

(Y/n) sighed, trying to stop herself from crying. Neither love birds cared to notice.

"I get it she is skinnier. I get it she has a better smile. I get it she has a better personality. I get it she's perfect. I will never be good enough for you to love me back." (Y/n) thought to herself.

She sighed and turned to the two lovers. They were having an intense make out session.

"Get a room!" (y/n) yelled, throwing a pillow and them.

"You know, you like it" Kai smirked, cocking an eyebrow up.

"I am out of here. bye Kai...(b/g/f/n)." She stated, faking a chuckle.

"Now where were we." Kai said after (y/n) stepped onto deck.

She hurriedly shut the door and slid to the bottom of it. Letting the tears stream freely.

"That should be me..."

This makes me sad just writing it, but I promise it will get happier.
Also, this romance between (y/n) and Kai will happen a little slowly. I just feel like a happy romance doesn't happen over night. So sorry. But it will happen. I swear. It will also, have some fuzzy cute moments between you and Kai along the way though.

I am sorry if there is any grammatical or spelling errors. I try my best to edit, but sometimes my mind doesn't see the mistake.
