Chapter 4: Unexpected Help

The reaction of the pack was instant. They loved their home, but they loved their lives even more. And even greater than that, was the love and the loyalty they had to Lucious. No matter what he believed about Andrew, he was the Alpha. He was the one that was making the decisions for all the pack. If Lucious believed that this plan was going to work, then so did they; and they were willing to take their chances with him, if that would provide them a better and safer future, away from the Silvers.

"We are a family. We will remain one. Don't count the miles. Count the loyalty to your siblings; and to me," Lucious said and looked them straight in their eyes, as they were ready to begin their long journey to the other side of the country.
Emerald eyes started appearing all around them, while Lucious, Lauren and Barbara were saying goodbye to their children.

"Let us know when you'll arrive at the Rockies," Larentia said.

"We will," Lucious said. "Andrew, you'll keep an eye on your sisters," he went on and fixed his gaze upon Andrew.

"Of course. I'll try not to disappoint you this time," Andrew said and felt the burden of his shame falling on his shoulders. He could feel the whole pack's eyes staring at him in disbelief.

"You won't," Lucious whispered as he was embracing his son. "Now, you all know your assignments. Let's make this family proud again! Let's go write some Loup Garou history and make the Silvers understand what we're capable of," he screamed and the pack howled out loud, as all the members started transforming.

***

Why didn't we go with Larentia?

We don't want to drive attention towards us.

Right... Cause two enormously big wolves are something you can see every day!

We're on Devil Mountain. Who could possibly see us during the night?

Them...

Andrew and Accalia froze when they saw them dancing in a clearing, naked with their bells around their ankles. They knew those creatures could be mesmerising. They knew the creatures could be irresistible to men, and Andrew could clearly see that now.

Andie, stay focused!

I'm trying. You have to admit though, they're juicy!

"Just on time, young Loups Garous!" one of the two naked women said. "I am Mirela and this is my sister, Simza," she went on. Andrew and Accalia couldn't believe in their eyes.

"What's wrong wolves? You haven't seen an Ielele before?" the other woman asked and moved closer to the siblings.
Under the moonlight their skin looked so soft and had a slight touch of silver glows, all around their body. Their long, black hair was touching the ground and the rustling of the air was moving it to every direction, along with their bells. It was like magic, only alive. And even if the young Loup Garou had seen enough magic during their short lives, still this was something completely out of the ordinary.

"Oh, Simza. Stop messing with the boy," Mirela said and reached out to her sister.

"I'm not. I'm just trying to understand if they are indeed Loups Garous. They seem a bit foolish to me," Simza replied.
Accalia growled at her and the two Ielele smiled ironically.

Lia... Chill! Let's see what they're up to.

"So, will you do us the honour and come back to your human forms or we're not that important to you?" Mirela asked, while she was still smiling wryly.

"Unless Lucious does not need our help anymore..." Simza went on. She looked at them in triumph when their eyes goggled .
The transformation took only a few seconds. They were all standing naked across each other, measuring what could possibly happen next.

"So, you know my father," Accalia said, after a few uncomfortable minutes of silence.

"Actually, we knew your great-grandfather. Lucious is still very new to the Romani culture," Simza replied.

"But you said that he needs your help," Andrew butted in.

"Actually, you all need our help. That's why Lucious said to meet you here," Mirela said.

"What do you mean?" Accalia asked and looked at the Ielele in disbelief.

"I believe that your family is still at war with the Silvers. We're here to help," Mirela said.

"Still, you're not telling us what kind of help you're offering," Accalia interrupted her.

"We're offering protection. And magic. And if you're as good as Lucious claims, we will be able to offer something more. Something greater. Not only to you two, but also to each and everyone of your kind," Simza stated.

"How can we know that you're here because Lucious asked you to? He didn't mention a thing to us," Andrew said, feeling Accalia's temper.

"But that's the thing about Lucious, isn't it. He never truly reveals his plans," Mirela said and smiled. "All you know is that you'll start a new life, you and your other sister, so that the Silvers won't be a threat to you anymore. But what if Lucious has a bigger plan in his mind?" she went on.

"Prove that he's the one who sent you here!" Accalia growled and fixed her gaze upon the two creatures.

"Or what?" Mirela asked.

"Or else..." Accalia left her phrase unfinished.

"Are you threatening me? Not such a wise move, little one," Mirela said.

"We'll see who's the little one," Accalia roared.

"Lia, don't!" Andrew shouted.
But it was too late. Accalia was already transforming back into a werewolf. With fast moves, she got Mirela in her hand and lifted her up in the air. The Ielele didn't move. Instead, she turned her head up in the sky and an instant later, a silvery rain was falling upon Accalia. She fell on the ground, taking Mirela with her. It was like her whole body was on fire and she couldn't control her twinges.
Seeing his sister like that, Andrew exploded. His eyes started turning emerald but then, they just stop.

"I wouldn't try that if I were you," Simza said and looked him straight in his eyes.

"You said you're here to help us and you're torturing my sister," Andrew hissed. He wanted to transform and yet he was feeling paralysed.

"We're just proving that we're powerful enough to do as Lucious asked us to," Simza replied. "And since you desperately need that proof of yours, here!" she went on and put her hands on Andrew's forehead.
Visions of that first night when Lucious had come to find him, the notes, the previous night with the Silver girl... Andrew blinked and Simza smiled at him. He turned around, only to find Accalia lying on the ground in her human form again with Mirela by her side, heeling her wounds.

"There are very few of us left. Our tribe is about to extinct. But we owe much to the Loup Garou and we will honour our friendship. Just don't question our loyalty again," Mirela said and helped Accalia stand on her feet.

"You've got a very unusual way of showing your appreciation," Accalia whispered.

"We're Ielele," Simza said, like that explained everything. "We may do things differently, but they always work out in the end; and so they will this time," she went on.

"I'm still confused," Andrew said.

"You won't be for much longer," Mirela said and moved closer. "All you need to do is to get to know the Silver girl first. Then, you'll get to know what your true destiny is, as well," she went on.

"But how will you contact us? How exactly will you help us?" Accalia asked, still feeling uncertain of those creatures and their true motives.

"We will meet here, once every two weeks. Lucious will be coming too, if that makes you feel better," Simza said and smiled at Accalia.

"Go now. We'll see you soon," Mirela said.
Since they weren't taking a specific answer, and with nothing else to say, Andrew and Accalia turned back into their animal forms and started walking away from the clearing, leaving the two Ielele behind them.

Why is it that we always get the messy jobs?

Are you joking? Larentia will freak out that she missed something like that.

You're saying that because you didn't get burned.

I don't know if I'll be that lucky next time!

I don't trust them. We'll have to check with the pack.

We will, once we'll arrive at the University. Patience, we're only a few hours away.

Right... Only seventy two.

The two Loups Garous kept running down the Devil Mountain, while the Ielele returned back to their ceremonial dance under the moon. They didn't know how yet, but they would help those young werewolves fulfil their destiny. They would repay them for what the Loups Garous had done all those years for the Romani and for what the Silvers had stolen from them.
