The Leaf

(Hi everyone! This is the story of Ayaka the daughter of a female Madara. Ayaka is the only character I own. Special thanks to Shizake19 for letting me borrow his character, Shizake, in this story. Our stories are not linked in any way but he's an amazing author and this is my little tribute to him. Enjoy the story!)

Faint voices filled the room as a felt a hand on my shoulder. It had soon enough awoken me from my slumber, the stranger lightly shaking me awake. I panted softly as a silver haired man helped me sit up. I was in a hospital room filled with people I did not know. Looking down, I realized I was drenched in my own sweat.

"It was only a bad dream," he said to me in attempt calm me down. I nod, drenched in sweat and sniffling a little as he sat on the edge of my bed.

Behind the man another ninja  in an all green outfit and had the bushiest eyebrows ever. Their headbands were both marked with the symbol of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. The last I remember was being in the Village Hidden in the Rain, so how did I get here?

"So this is the young girl you came across in the forest, Kakashi?" The green one asked quite energetically. The silver haired man named Kakashi nodded and walked over to what seemed like my medical examination charts. Hesitantly, I climb out of bed to look at the charts with Kakashi.

"It's amazing how well you have healed. You've recovered from two fractured ribs and twisted ankle quite quickly. How?" Kakashi asked Ayaka. She simply shrugged in response.

"My former sensei said it was something I was always able to do. I just don't know how," Akari explained.

"She must have a lot of youth in her, right Kakashi?" the green blob said. After a few seconds, Kakashi finally turned towards the man.

"Did you say something?" Kakashi asked and Ayaka had to bite her lower lip to prevent herself from laughing. After calming herself down she turned to the group of strangers.

"Not to be rude or anything but who are you?" Ayaka questioned.

"I am Might Guy, Konoha's handsome green beast!" the green blob explained as he gave me a thumbs up.

"Oh well nice to meet you then, I'm Ayaka," she said with a smile. Just as Guy was about to speak the medic then walked in.

"We have no records on her so she's never been admitted into this hospital and we don't know if she's from a neighboring village however she's fine now just make sure she doesn't fight or do any heavy lifting for a few days. Other than that she's free to go," the medic reported before taking the charts and leaving the room.

"I see... you're not here for the chunin exams either. Guy do you mind taking a lap around the perimeter and checking if there is any others injured?" Kakashi asks.

"Very well, I'll be back swiftly. If I don't make it back by sundown I'll do 500 laps around the village on my hands," Guy responds and jumps out the window.

"Well Ayaka, we should get going. I'll be taking you to the Hokage's office so we can figure something out for you. You ready to go?" Kakashi turns back to me, waiting for my response.

"Yeah, I suppose I am," I respond as I gather my bag. All it really had was spare food, clothes and medicine. I slip my bag onto my back and follow Kakashi out of the hospital.

As we walked, I took in all the scenery of the beautiful sunny village. The streets were peaceful, most people going about their daily lives. Our peace was interrupted when two shinoni with masks on their face appear before us.

"Good evening, Kakashi. Excuse us but we will take the girl from here. Orders from above," the one on the left says.

"Anbu? What could you guys want with her? I'm already taking her to see Lord Hokage," Kakashi responds.

"She could be a threat to the village, we need to take her for interrogation. Seeing as she isn't registered for the exams, it's all the more reason to be wary. The elders demanded that we bring her in," the other anbu member says swiftly.

He sighs and looks over at me. "I suppose if it's from the elders then I have no other choice. Ayaka you'll be going them alright?"

"O-oh...very well then." I say as I go to their side. They each place a hand on my shoulder before teleporting me away from Kakashi.

They bring me in to a dark room with some old guy who has bandages over his right eye. "Now now what do we have here? Where did you come from?" He says in a stern tone.

"Umm...the Hidden Rain," I say softly, pretty afraid. They were treating me as some serious threat when in reality I didn't even know much about being a ninja. With little to no basic training whatsoever.

"Then why did you come here if not for the chunin exams," he questions, stepping closer to me.

"I...I'm not sure... the last thing I remember was being in the Hidden Rain and I was heading home. After that I woke up in a hospital bed here in the Leaf," I try to explain. I watch he looks at one of the masked men who then nods and walks up to me.

"Sorry kid," he says and places his hand on my head. A burning sensation then fills my body as memories began flooding through my head. Running down the rainy streets of the village, collecting food from the markets and finally talking to a shadowy figure. "Oh and who may that be?"

I begin to scream out in pain as the burning intensifies. The scene doesn't become any clearer though as if something is blocking it. Not even the words of the memory were understandable. "Oh so you are hiding stuff?" He then adds another hand to my head trying to fight through the seal. My head began to pulsate and blood began dripping from my nose. My eyes began to flutter closed but before they do, a door opens and a bright light appears. In the blink of an eye, the pain fades and I look up to see another man between me and the one torturing me.

"That's enough. Lord Hokage demands her presence immediately. She is not with the enemy and there is no need for this interrogation. If there is anything else then you can take it up with Lord Hokage," the new man says.

The old man sighs and nods hesitantly, "take her. We're done with her anyways. We have enough." He then turns around and leaves through another exit, followed by the man who tortured me.

The new guy turns back to me, his strange red eyes piercing through my soul. "Can you walk?" He asks as he goes to wipe the blood from my face. I look around and climb to my feet, wobbling slightly. "Here, I've got you. Just lean on me." He puts my arm around him and keeps me steady.

"Thank you," I say softly. The man pats my head and leads me out, taking me to the Hokage. As we arrive I see Kakashi waiting for us.

"I see my hunch was correct. Cruel even to children," he sighs. "Let's go inside, Lord Hokage is awaiting our arrival. Oh and you are required as well."

"This is going where I think it is huh?" the anbu beside me sighs. "I suppose I have no other choice." We then follow Kakashi inside of the office to be greeted by another older man.

"Ah welcome. You must be the young Ayaka. I must apologize for the interrogation done against you. I fear not everyone would be so open to the idea of housing a child from another village," the Hokage says and stands from his seat. He walks up to me and crouches down to my level. "You remind me of someone I once knew. How would you like to stay here in the Leaf?"

"Wait...I can stay?" I asked confused, "the others were quick to judge me so why do you see me any different?"

He chuckles a little and walks over to the window. "When you've been around as long as I have sometimes you just have to go with your heart. You never know what can come out of it. Of course you'll be under surveillance but if all goes well then you can begin training to become a shinobi of the village."

"I see, that's..." I think of the Hidden Rain Village, being an orphan and running around for scraps when I couldn't afford food. "That's a very generous offer. I accept, thank you Lord Hokage." I smile brightly and bow to the elderly man before me.

"And he, will be the one to teach you," the Hokage says and gestures to the anbu beside me. "Lower the mask."

The man sighs "yeah I was right," he says under his breath. He goes and takes off his mask.

"Ayaka, meet Shizake Uchiha, your new sensei," the Hokage says. I turn to the man examining his black hair and menacing red eyes. He closes his eyes for a second and as he reopens them the red is replaced with a coal black. I smile up at him and bow respectfully. Maybe now I won't be alone anymore.
