I stood there practicing my powers. My mom's crow always was by my side. He flew off and I didn't think much of it at the time, he was probably off to do whatever birds do. That's when I heard a female voice. "Shoo! My hair in not a nest! Ow, don't eat my hair!" She cried as she swatted at the bird. "Don't hurt him! He was my mother's." I said as I frowned. She gasped softly as she noticed my horns. "B-Beast!" She cried. "No, I assure you I'm not a beast. That's very hurtful! What if I was to call you fat how would you like it?" I growled. She shook her head. "I didn't think so." I said as I she backed away. "My name Is Harry. Son of Malificent, and you are?" He asked as he came closer. "K-K-Katherine, so the legend is true! There really was a sleeping beauty and a evil witch." She said as she held a notebook close to her chest.
"Hey, that's my mom you're talking about! She's not a witch, she's a sorcerer. A very good one if I might add." I cried. "S-Sorry.. so you're the one who's been singing to me! B-But why?" She asked nervously. "Because I fancy you, let me see that book." I said as I reached for it and she hesitated. "It's none of your business what's in this book! It's my book." She cried upset. "Just let me see it. Please." I growled through my teeth. "Fine." She said as she handed it to me as I opened it and look it over. "It's just a bunch of doodles!" I chuckled as her face turned red. "They're not doodles! They're works of art!" She growled angrily. "How odd, you care about these doodles like they have some sort of special meaning to you." I said as I closed the notebook. "That's because they do! Drawing is my passion." She said as she took her notebook back. "Mere scribbles, nothing more.." I laughed.
"These 'scribbles' will make me rich one day, so laugh while you can because you're going to be eating those words later on." She said as she focused on her drawings. I just stood there perplexed and ran my hands over my horns in contemplation. "Why are you even interested in me anyway? Shouldn't you be out casting spells or whatever horned humans do?" She asked me as I chuckled softly. "I already casted a spell my darling, on you." I said as I laughed. "That song! It's a spell?! Am I a desendant of bri-" I stopped her and put my finger over her lips. "Shhhh... Are you a desendant of Briar Rose? The wife of the monster who slayed my mother! Ha! Close enough if I say so. The answer to your question lies beyond the spinning wheel she pricked her finger on all those years ago. Touch it and everything will become clearer, my pretty little dove." I said as I chuckled and walked off as she grabbed her stuff walked behind me. "But I thought the townspeople burned that spinning wheel after Briar Rose awoke?" She said in confusion. I shook my head and huffed. "That's what my mother wanted them to think! They'd burn all their precious spinning wheels and all their problems would magically disappear! Please! That's the biggest load of junk I've ever heard! Ha! But it's still here, hidden deep inside this forest, the same forest my mother built her castle in." I explained as I walked with a stick in my hand. "Is that her wand?" I asked in surprise. "Yes now, see for yourself the spinning wheel." I said as I moved to the side, the spinning wheel sat on a rock as the sun shined down on it and I walked up to it. "So many memories, my mother hardly knew her baby boy. I had a rough upbringing. Your past answers lie within this needle. Touch it and it will show you the answers you seek." I said as I touched the spinning wheel and moved the dust between my two fingers and then wiped it off on my cape. "Beautiful isn't it? Hasn't aged a day since then. My magical legacy keeps it from aging." I said as I sat down on the grass. "so If you were to die, the spinning wheel would rot away and fall apart?" She questioned. "Percisely." I said as I stood up again. His eyes were glowing green. "Touch the spinning wheels needle and all your answers will be fulfilled. Hell who knows maybe your wishes and wildest dreams will be answered!" I chuckled softly. She moved up closely towards it. "That's it, don't be shy! It doesn't bite. It might give you a splinter though." I said I stood there looking at my hands. She reached her hand out. "Closer.. that's a good girl. Closer my darling dove." I said as her finger came to hover above the needle. She closed her eyes. Took a deep breath.. and then-
