Butterfly

This poem was placed second in a haiku competition held by WP_Poetry on January 2019.
I'd like to share the background behind this poem: My mother had a little accident a few weeks ago which caused a hairline fracture on her right ankle. So, I had to wash the clothes and dry them out in the sun. It was at that time of noon that I saw a a black butterfly flying over the pink pansies in the flower tubs. I stood for a long time watching it hover over from flower to flower. It was beautiful and satori hit me! I wrote the initial draft and after some editing and revising, which included finding the name of the flower (which was a real pain), I wrote the final draft.
