"Ugh," I groaned as I woke up to rain tapping on my window. It was, unfortunately, midnight and all I heard was crap.
I unlocked my phone and saw that I received a text from an unknown number.

Unknown: You just won a free trip to Anaheim, California! 😘😃😁😜🤣😛😉😜

I was pretty sure it was a scam but you never know. I scrolled down, trying to make out what the rest read.

Unknown: Please call: 1-800-WaTrips. You will immediately be answered and spoken with 🚙🚗🚘🚖🚕

The Emoticons really gave away the fact that this was probably a scammer. I tried the number anyways.

The phone was buzzing.
"Hello?" The person that answered was female.
"Yeah, is this WaTrips?" I asked.
"Did you dial the number to WaTrips?" The lady on the other end had a snarky tone in her voice. This made me pissed so I responded in an unkind manner.
"I don't know, did I?" Im pretty sure the lady could practically hear my smirk from the other line.
"I'm dumbfounded. Did you?" Now I could tell this bitch was wasting my time.
"If WaTrips hires bitches then I suppose I did,"

The lady, unfortunately, hung up.
I dialed again.
A man answered.
"Yes? Who's this?" The man asked.
"Uh yes, hi. I was wondering if you have a female employee who just helped me?" I asked.
"Hold on one second," The man left me unattended. I waited and soon he came back.
"Are you the woman who called her a bitch?" He asked.
"I don't think so..? Can I speak with whoever?" The phone got handed over to the lady who acted like she was too good for her job.
"Hellah?" She said, not giving a fuck if she came off as a bitch.
"Oh hi again!" I said, faking the tone of happiness in my voice.
"Ugh! It's that ratchet mofo again. What do you want?" I could hear her chewing a wad of gum.
"I want someone who isn't a bitch to help me," I said, proud of myself for coming up with that one.
I heard voices on the other end and soon a boy answered.
"Hello?" He asked.
"Hi!" I said, fairly excited that this was someone new.
"This is WaTrips, how may I help you?" His voice was soft and kind.
"Yeah, um, I got a text saying I won a trip to Anaheim?"
"California?"
"Y-yeah.." I said. I was afraid this was a scam. I really wanted this trip.
"Name?"
"Ellie Truin," I said, filled with confidence.
"Searching.... age?"
"14,"
"Ah! Okay! Here you are. Pack your things. Address?"
I quickly told him my address. What if this was fake? What if I'm just giving out personal information to this random guy I don't know?
"Okay. I'll be there to pick you up at 4 a.m, 'kay?"
The fact that I'll be picked up was nerve wrecking.
"U-uh okay! I'll be ready by then!"
I was about to press 'End Call' until I heard his voice again.
"One last thing, I'll have to be spending the trip with you. I cannot fly back because it'll cost too much. I'm sorry," His voice was hurt and I could tell he really meant his apology.
"Yeah, that's, um, fine!" I said, quickly.
I pressed the red button at the bottom of the screen and began to pack. I didn't know this guy who'll be hanging out with me. I was worried sick.
Then I realized what was in Anaheim !
DISNEYLAND!!!!
