reaching out
Okay. I can do this. I can tell them. I can stop this. Or at least someone can help me stop this.
I can reach out for help. I'm strong enough, aren't I? If I can't save myself, someone else can, hopefully. I hope. Maybe it's the first time I've hoped in ages.
The sadness...... Everything, sometimes, I admit, you need someone else there, someone else to help you.
Maybe they were all right, even though I really wish they weren't.
I hate being wrong. And I hate that other people are always right. Always not wrong. And I'm always wrong apparently.
I hope someone is proud of me, that I'm stepping up, and dealing with it. Because I sick of it. And I need a reason. Any reason.
But I know there's no one there that's really proud of me.
Because, I can't control the thoughts in my head. Depression has overcome me, flooding in past the barriers, in places I never wanted to let anyone, anything into.
My mind... Is mine. Not depression's. Not anyone else's. Mine, and mine only.
I punch in the numbers and call. How many times have I called this number, and barely was online for more than five minutes?
"Teen Help at your service. Hi."
"Hey."
"What can we assist you with?"
"Life."
"What's your name?" the male voice asks at the end of the line.
"Amy."
"Okay, Amy. I'm afraid life is a one person thing." He pauses. "Unless you're talking about... Making life. That's... Um... Two people." He sounds dead serious. Do they practice this kind of stuff, because I would be laughing by now if it was about that.
Except one thing. I haven't laughed in months.
"Um... No," I snap.
Things like relationships is not my problem right now. I'm not even vaguely interested in anything relationship like or romantic. Because, my last relationship was when I was fourteen, when I met a boy who liked me and I liked him back. We dated for three months before I gave up. He gave up too.
That just proves that things like that never ever happen and never will.
"Oh. So, what do you mean?"
"Who are you anyways?"
"Someone."
"Well someone, I need a reason to live. I mentioned that last time." I pause. "And now I'm hanging up."
"Wait–" The person says on the end of the line.
Why wait? I'm tired of waiting. And when I'm done, I'm done. When I'm hanging up, I'm hanging up.
I hang up.
