I went into the kitchen and grabbed Hailie some water. While I was out there I also texted Casie telling her that I would be over to pick her up tomorrow. I made my way back to her bedroom glancing around I could see that she was a pretty clean person. Her house was organized and everything had its place. I slipped back into the room and sat down next to her. " You need to drink water." She just shook her head" tired....need to sleep" So I watched as she dozed off. I started to get up. I was going to sleep on the couch but then I heard her, " Colson...will you stay?" She just asked me to stay in her bed with her. I gave her a gentle smile, " Of course I will stay" I pulled off my jeans and my shirt and crawled into bed beside her. I was about to put my shirt on the floor but she reached for it. "Can I wear it? Please Kells?" I don't know what it is about her but I find it hard to tell her no. I hand her my shirt and help her take off her own while not messing up her bandages. I slipped my shirt over her brown curls and guided her arms through the holes. " Goodnight Hailie." She snuggled against my chest. "Goodnight Colson"
I think I might have just fallen in love with this girl. Nobody calls me Colson like she does. But when she says it, it just feels right. I look at her sleeping face one last time. "I love you Hailie"
