she takes things day by day
slowly smiling a little more
here and there
pushing herself towards recovery
but in the back of her mind
the urge is there
fighting to make itself present again
she still refrains from eating
not wanting to risk anything
knowing if she ate
she'd break
things aren't as easy as they seem
"you're strong"
"you can do this"
"it's not that hard"
they think they're helping
with these words
these little words of encouragement
but that's all they are
words
meaningless words
spoken out of ones mouth
she thinks to herself:
"i don't believe i'm strong
i don't believe i can do this
i can try
but i don't believe i can make it
it's harder than they think
it's hard
and i'm weak"
