Far away from Earth in a distant galaxy was a planet known as Micro-Earth; named so because the inhabitants were only the size of an child's action figure, this unique species were known as "Microman". The Microman were a race of highly advanced cyborgs who's power was augmented by an atomic engine stored in their chest. For years, they lived in peace and harmony, having developed many forms of technology... Until one seemly normal day; Micro Earth was destroyed due to the machinations of an evil group known as the Acroyear, a small sect of Microman corrupted by atomic radiation from another planet. Luckily; a group of Microman were able to escape the planet's destruction in a series of miniature capsules that helped them travel through space, but the radiation caused by the planet's destruction caused the capsules to be encased in a crystalline substance before they crash landed on Earth.

For years they laid dormant before they were freed from their capsules by a powerful laser built by the humans; the four Microman known as Jesse, George, Alex and James vowed to protect Earth from the Acroyear forces. This did this by building a command centre along with a series of vehicles suited for any mission and overtime, they made an effort to find any Microman who had arrived on Earth before them. They at last reunited with Eric; one of the Microman Commanders buried within one of the statues on Easter Island, who then assumed the role as leader of the team.

This was the normal routine for our miniature heroes, until one faithful day...
