I already want to die.

My friend Maria and 4 other kids are waiting at our bus stop on our first day of middle school. Maria screams as loud as her dumbass can, "UGGGGGHGHGHGJGFBDJHBK WHERE IS THE BUS???" We just silently look at each other and then I shake my head. "Oh sweetie if you yell any louder, you'll attract... tHe GhOoOoOoStS!!" I know she's scared of ghosts, so I like to joke around like that when she does something stupid. "stooooop you're no funnnn." We laugh together.

I've known Maria for god knows how long! We're practically sisters. Gone through elementary together, begged the shit out of our parents not to move anywhere, and now we're going through what we always dreamed about. Middle School.. but... I'm scared. It's middle school! I've seen movies, I went through 5th grade, and if 5th grade was nothing then middle school will be torture! I'm absolutely scared and I don't want to go..

"y/n.. Y/N!" I jump a little and look at Maria. I give a little sigh of relief. I'm just glad we're going to be tortured together. "Dude are you ok? Don't tell me you're nervous?" "pffft naahhh I ain't a chicken!" She giggles a little and rolls her eyes. "Sure toughy. But remember, if anyone hurts you in anyway, tell me and I'll beat them to a pulp." She stands there in a pose to make her look tough and I laugh. She always does this to make me feel better and I love it. I love.. her. "ok moOom"

We both chuckle at each other. The screech of the bus hurts my ears. "welp, it's here. You ready?" I look at the bus and take a big breather. "I'm ready." We get on the surprisingly quiet bus and sit in an empty seat together. The bus doors close and the wheels move.

We're going to middle school.
