Minecraft (Reader-insert)

You opened your eyes, just awakening, and stared up at the city. You tried to memorize the pattern of bubbles on the ceiling as you listened to see who was up. It was quiet throughout the house. You sat up, and rubbed your eyes. You swung your legs off the edge of the bed and got up, coming face to face with the mirror. Your (h/l) (h/c) hair was sticking up, and some was in your face. You quickly pushed it out of the way, making yourself look a little more presentable. You picked up your brush and ran it through your hair, causing it to fully lie flat. "There." You whispered, feeling strange. That's when it struck you: it's Saturday! "I can be on Minecraft all day!" You said, rather loudly. That's when you remembered that your parents told you they would be out shopping and doing errands all day, and they were going to trust you were going to stay in your room and play on your laptop for the day. "Awesome!" You said, cheering as you walked over to your desk, where your laptop was laying, closed, but plugged up and charged just for this occasion. The one time your parents let you keep your laptop in your room overnight. You opened the top, and pressed the power button. Its lights flashed (f/c) as it powered on. You pulled the chair out, but delayed before sitting down. You looked over to the door, wondering if you should at least crack the door open, out of habit. You decided against it, and sat down in the chair. The computer opened up onto the desktop background, which was a peaceful overlooking of a hill in Minecraft; a screenshot you had taken and were rather proud of. You smiled as you double clicked on the Minecraft desktop shortcut, causing it to come up with the login screen. You typed in your username, (U/n). Then you clicked on the password, and typed it in. You clicked the login button, and it started loading. You sat back, getting excited again. You'd have the whole day to play! That's when you realized you needed to do the dishes. You got up, and unlatched the door, and opened it all the way. There was your cat, (P/n), sitting there patiently. You picked (him/her) up, and set (him/her) on the bed. "Stay there, I'll be right back." You told (him/her).
*Time Skip, because I don't want to write about doing dishes*
You sat down in your desk chair again, after doing the dishes. You sighed softly. Minecraft had stopped loading and was waiting on you to press "Play Game." You looked over the options that you could choose, just like you always did,  and it rewarded you by showing a new option: "Play 3D Game." You frowned softly as you looked at the option, contemplating picking it. 'Wasn't the game already in 3D?' You thought, but still, this was an option you hadn't seen before, and you were finding yourself very curious...
Finally, about two minutes of consideration, and asking your cat what (he/she) thought, you finally decided to try it out. (Your cat, you found, wasn't too helpful.) You moved your mouse slowly and purposefully towards the option, and clicked it with a feeling of anticipation. You let out a breath you hadn't realized you'd been holding as it started to load. Suddenly, you felt this strange pulling feeling towards the computer. You tried to pull away, closing your eyes tightly, trying to fight it harshly. You shook your head, and before you knew it, it was done. You didn't feel the feeling anymore, and finally, you opened your eyes and let out a gasp. "Wh-what?" You said, evidently confused, as you looked around and saw a blocky surrounding. "A-am I in Minecraft?" You asked, clearly confused. You took a shaky step forward, then extended your hand out. You gasped again as you saw your arm was blocky and a perfect rectangle to match the environment. You shook your head lightly, trying to shake the confusing feeling. You finally started walking towards the nearest tree, which happened to be oak, since you appeared to be in a plains biome. You started breaking it, feeling strange as you felt so close and... Awkward. You didn't know why, but you knew that this was like Minecraft, and if it was the same as the game, you needed a shelter to hide from the monsters at nightfall. "Especially considering creepers and such..." You mumbled to yourself, as you made a crafting table and laid it on the ground. You chopped down another tree and started making planks. You started building the walls up, cutting corners (literally), and building them up to three blocks high. You smiled at your handiwork as you put the door on. You were going to worry about windows later, since you had little time left until nighttime. You sighed as you went in. You hadn't seen any sheep to get wool from, but you still had plenty of wood planks on the bright side. As you saw night fall, you decided to start working on the floor, and all the while you heard the nighttime sounds, including a spider's hiss, and zombies groaning. You sighed as you worked, getting impatient for the next morning.
<A/N: So, here's the beginning. I'm thinking of adding some friends, maybe including (me, but not my actual tag) me. What do you guys think? If you actually care, haha. But, yeah, I was trying to write something I'd want to read, and I like it, so I hope others will too.>
