Chapter three
Chapter three
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.-Albert Einstein

October thirty-first came quickly as Brielle found herself getting ready for the Halloween party. She was going as the singer Aaliyah, who had sadly passed away in a plane crash. Aaliyah was her mother's favorite artist. She knew all the songs and went to all her concerts when she was a teen. So, in honor of her mother, she was going to be Aaliyah. Brielle looked at herself in her full body length mirror, she had on a white Tommy Jeans tube top on, navy-blue and red baggy jeans with a brown belt, her Tommy Hilfiger underwear peeking out from her jeans and her tan timberland boots. She had straightened her hair earlier and styled it like Aaliyah and did her makeup.
Her phone pinged, signaling that she had a notification. Checking her phone, she saw it was from Lola saying that her and Malia were outside. Making sure she had everything, Brielle left her room. She knocked on Bella's door to tell her that she was leaving since their father wasn't home and Bella was in charge, but all she got back was silence. Sighing to herself, Brielle left the house greeting her friends as she climbed into the back of Lola's car.
the ride to the party was surprisingly short, but maybe that's because the whole way there, the girls were jamming out to songs and talking. "You guys ready?" Malia asked as she sat in the car staring at the house the party was at. "Let's do this." Brielle said, getting out of the car Lola and Malia following her.
The party was in full swing when they stepped foot in the house. Teens were grinding on each other while holding drinks. People were making out on the couch, the stairs basically anywhere they could. There wasn't one spot in the house that didn't have people in the space. "Wow!" Brielle breathed out, sure she's been to a few parties back in California but never one this big. "I know, right?" Malia said her eyes wide.
"Malia! You made it!" A girl shouted over the loud music as she came towards the trio, pulling Malia in a hug. "I wouldn't have missed it for the world." Malia smiled as she pulled away from the hug,"Girls, this is Talia and Talia. This is Lola and Brielle." Malia introduced the three girls to each other.
"Nice to meet you,Talia." Brielle smiled at the girl who smiled back. Talia was a darkskinned girl with copper red hair and grey eyes. All in all, she was beautiful." You're so beautiful." Brielle complimented blushing as she did so. "Thank you! So are you." Talia smiled again. "Now that we know Talia and Brielle got the hots for each other." Lola teased winking at them both,"Where can I get drunk at?" That made all four girls laugh at Lola's playfulness.
"Right this way."

Five drinks and an hour later, Brielle was very tipsy. She was in the middle of the dance floor dancing by herself, having a good ole time when she felt hands grabbing her hips and someone pressed up against. The two began to grind on eachother the person guiding Brielle, who threw her arm around his neck while she pressed her back to what she now knows as the guy chest. Two danced like that for what felt like hours only to really be thrity minutes when Brielle turned in his grasp to face the mystery man. He had long hair that fell past his shoulders, tanned skin that glistened with sweat and a sharp jaw line. She couldn't deny that this man was good-looking.
"What's your name." She asked after she finished checking him out. "Jacob black." He responded as he watched her expression change from confusion to suprised. "What is the son of Billy black doing at a party like this." Brielle asked him. Although this was her first time meeting him, she knew his name from when he helped look for Bella. "I'm guessing your Brielle Swan." He smirked, "Before you go thinking I'm a stalker my dad and your father talked about you the day after he found out about you." Jacob clarified.
"You still didn't answer my question." Brielle said as they continued to dance together. "And that was?" He asked, pulling her even closer to him to where there was no space and that he could feel her hot breath against his face. "What is the son of Billy Black doing at a party like this." This time, she whispered it in his ear.
"The same thing as you to have fun."
Before she knew it, he had smashed his lips onto hers, instantly getting kissed back. The kiss wasn't slowly but feverish with what seemed like passion. The two made out on the dance floor not caring about anything that was happening around them or if anyone was watching. They kissed for what felt like eternity before Brielle was pulled away by Lola, who held a drunk Malia in place."Sorry to interrupt all your fun, but you have curfew, and I have to get this one home."
"I'll be right there." Brielle said before turning back to a smiling Jacob," I guess I'll see you again?" She asked hopefully.
"Without a doubt."

It was now December and a month had passed since she last saw or kissed Jacob since Halloween. It had also been two months or three months before Brielle had stopped counting since Bella had stopped eating, talking, doing anything really, and it seemed like she was getting worse. It was really starting to worry Charlie and Brielle. That was all Brielle could think about as sje stared out the window as the voice of her AP honors English teacher talked on and on about the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet.
"Miss Swan." The voice of Mrs.Sherpard filled her ears, snapping her out of her thoughts. Brielle turned to look at her teacher an questioning look," Prehaps you can tell the class and I your thoughts on Juliet and Romeo's death." Brielle blinked, looking around to see all her classmates staring at her. Clearing her throat, she began to speak," I think their death was totally uncalled for, but yet it had it's purpose. Think about it their death played a huge part in stopping the ongoing war between their families." She said, stopping to make sure her classmates were still listening before continuing,"Was their death avoidable? Yes! Could their story have played out differently if that guy close to Romeo had stayed and listened to reverend Frair? For sure, but Shakespeare wrote it the way it is because he had a message about love and that love is a violent, ecstatic, overpowering force that supersedes all other values, loyalties, and emotions." But all that was her opinion and nothing more."Well said, Miss Swan." Her teacher said before turning back to the board to continue the lesson.
After hours of sitting in classes bored out of her mind, lunch finally came around, and she found herself painting whatever came to her mind instead of in the cafeteria. She felt like she needed to get away from everyone and everything, and painting was her escape. She was so busy painting and being in her on little world she didn't realize that someone was watching her until they spoke.
"You have a natural gift." The voice of Ms. Matthews said, making Brielle jump in fright. "Thank you!" Brielle beamed once she calmed her heart down,"And I'm sorry I didn't ask to paint in here." She said to which her teacher waved her off. "All my students are welcome to use this room to do whatever type of art they want." Sara told her student, who she thought was special in more than one way, all she had to do was let it out.
"You look tired." Sara said as she analyzed her students' faces. She could see the bags under her eyes, the redness of her eyes, the dullness of her skin. Brielle was exhausted, and it was very apparent." I haven't been able to get much rest." Brielle said, yawning afterward. "Is it because of nightmares?"
"Something like that." Brielle replied as she thought about the past nights when she would comfort Bella, who would wake up screaming from nightmares about Edward. Sara opened her mouth to say something, but the bell ranged. "I gotta get to class, but thank you for letting me stay and paint."

Brielle shivered as she pulled her coat closer to her as she walked down the street of Port Angeles. She was by herself shopping for little things to put in her room to make it more colorful rather than plain. Charlie had dropped her off on his way to work, giving her some money and telling her to be safe. As she continued to walk her mind couldn't help but wondered if she should had stayed home with Bella to keep the girl company even if it was just in silence staring out the window when she bumped into a hard chest.
Looking up, she saw the guy who found Bella the night she went missing. Sam was his name. "I'm so sorry," she breathed out as they looked at each other. "It's okay, no harm done here." Sam reassured his second imprint who he had been told by Billy to keep his distance from her and now that she was right here in front of him, he didn't think he could stay away from her much longer. It frustrated him to no end that he couldn't be near her like he could with Emily. It frustrated him that every time he thought of her, he felt like he was cheating on Emily. Emily was amazing and didn't deserve this even if she understood what was going on and was alright with it. Having two mates was unusual for quillettes, they're was only one case like theirs, but no one knew the story.
The two stared at each other before Sam finally broke the silence,"How's Bella doing?" He asked somewhat caring about the older swan. "She's not doing so well." Brielle answered,"She hasn't been the same since Edward left." The thought of Edward left Brielle feeling bitter, and Sam had noticed when her face went dark as she said the name of the man who hurt her sister. "I'm sorry." Sam apologized even though he had nothing to do with the situation." Don't be. You aren't the one causing her pain." Brielle said as she smiled at him. For some odd reason, Brielle felt safe with him . If anything bad happened, he would be there to protect her her, she also felt like she could tell him anything like she would with Malia and Lola.
Brielle and Sam talked for a few minutes more before he had to run off. Smiling to herself, she continued to make her way to her destination, which was a walmart. She spent twenty minutes looking for everything she came there for, thirty minutes waiting in line because Walmart was packed, and ten minutes waiting for Charlie to pick her up. By the time she got home, Brielle was drained of energy and ready to go to sleep. All that was thrown out the window when Bella started screaming here we go again Brielle thought as she made her way to Bella's room only to be stopped by her father. "Go to bed, i got this." He told her, turning her around and pushing her towards her room.
"Okay, goodnight!"
"Night, sweetheart!"
Author's note: I forgot to do a disclaimer/warning, so here it is. The twilight books and movies are not mine, although I wish they all belonged to Stephanie myers. The characters do not belong to me, but the characters and their plots I made do so, so please don't steal my work. Also, this story may or may not contain mature content like alcohol or sex. If sex is involved, all characters who do something sexual would be over the age of sixteen. I aged up Jacob and Seth only by a year, making Jacob sixteen and Seth fifteen. I haven't decided if I was going to make Sam and Emily nineteen or twenty yet just to make it non weird. Paul and Jared are going to be seventeen or eighteen. Leah is going to be nineteen. Enjoy ❤
