The Funeral
I was walking around camp, when I stopped in front of Cabin 6. The building was made of gray stone, and the owl on the front was always moving its head, like it was watching me. It gave me the creeps. I had changed from my Greek Tunic to a pair of jeans and a green hoodie that matched my eyes. Wait what? I didn't mean that. The wind started howling and I was getting cold My choppy brown hair which was naturally spiky, was moving to the wind. I pulled it under the hood of my hoodie. I moved my head to the right and heard murmurs coming from the Athena Cabin. I sneaked over to the entrance and looked inside. The cabin was filled with bookshelf on one wall, and another had a huge poster board on it, filled with maps, pictures and drawings. There were 10 bunks lined up against the third wall. On the bottom one, sat Andy and a girl with stringy brown hair who I think was Clarrise. She could use some conditioner. Never tell her said that. They were both looking at a picture of a girl with raven black hair, and sea green eyes. Her dimples were showing and her smile reached her eyes. She was wearing a Camp Half Blood t-shirt, but it was pulled back with a rubber band. Her shorts were knee length black ones. Her hair was all over her face. I couldn't quite make out her features. Clarrise sighed and started talking to Andy. " Hey punk, stop crying. Prissy wouldn't have wanted you to cry over her." Clarisse remarked. Andy glared at her.
"Oh please Clarisse. You don't know what she would have done. You didn't even like her." He replied snakily. Clarrise looked hurt for a second, but quickly regained her emotionless face and stood up. Andy signed again and put out his hand to stop her. "I'm sorry Clarrise. I know you had a rocky relationship with her, but I also know you miss her. She was the only one who looked past your facade. She meant as much to you as she meant to me."
"Except Selena," Clarisse murmured. Andy just nodded his head tiredly.
"Remember the time she got lost in the labyrinth?" He asked her.
Clarrise smiled slightly and shoved Andy's shoulder." I was so happy she was dead, but she just had to come back alive, didn't she?" she replied smirkingly. I was so confused. What did Clarrise mean? Perci had crashed her own funeral? I just continued listening to the story. " I remember how lost you were without her. You were totally scared and heartbroken. When you when up to talk about her, you were sweating. The war was close and you had just lost you best friend. "
" I know what I said. I still remember it. She was a great friend and a sound leader. I just couldn't have believed she was dead. I wasn't ready to lose her. I never will be." Andy said. I then realized how deep his feeling really were. Here I was, wallowing because my pretend girlfriend couldn't remember me, while Andy had lost his real girlfriend and was still leading the camp. I vowed to help him find Perci Jackson.
Now Clarrise was talking." And then she just casually walked up to the funeral and said, Is this all you guys think of me? Wow, I'm so touched. And you had jumped her and hugged her so hard she couldn't breathe. But everybody could see the smile on her face." Andy blushed hard.
"Oh shut up. You would do the same for Chris" now Clarrise blushed. Suddenly the mood turned somber.
" I miss her too," Clarrise whispered. And the two demigod just sat together in silence, looking at the picture. I slowly walked away, as not to make a noise. As I turned, I saw Clarrise looking at my direction and winking. I had to get out of here and tell June and Lea. They wouldn't believe what I just saw.
