"ETHAN! OPEN THE GOD DAMN DOOR!"

I bang as hard as I can on the faerie's door. It's where Tobi always goes for refuge, the fucker just won't open the god damn door.

"I WILL BREAK IT DOWN."

"Please don't. I'm tired of having to help pay for a new door."

I spin around, ready to tear into whoever is behind me. Just as I'm about unleash, I stop and shrink back in guilt.

"Now what could be so important that you are willing to break into Ethan's home."

"T-Tobi is in there."

"Dear, all the lights are off and the door is locked. Do you honestly think he's here?"

I maul over it then shake my head. They offer me a sympathetic smile.

"Good, now run along. I bet they're at one of your other friends' house. Oh! Take these and give them to Josh if you see him."

I take the basket and look inside. Raw meat, yuck.

"It's for the next camping trip. I know Josh doesn't like it when he kills things, so I thought I'd help out. Now, off you go, before I zap you."

"Thank you! See you later, Ms. Payne!"
